Coach Viva

I've been feeling really stalled lately and have been watching some YouTube videos looking for ideas and motivation. I stumbled on Coach Viva. Have any of you heard of this program? They call it Badass Body Boss. They do not include any pricing. I'm very hesitate to pay anyone to help me lose weight because it is something that I believe I should be able to do myself. In any event, they have some interesting videos and what feels like a different approach. Honestly, it really isn't all that different from what I see in other comments in the MFP Community discussion groups. They advocate for:
- identifying one to three habits to work on at a time.
- track inputs related to those habits
- assess progress and then adjust as you go

I agree that I wouldn't pay anyone to help me lose weight. I'm also not a big fan of group exercise or gyms or things like Weight Watchers.
Those three bullet points above great.
For me it's about
- Log food and exercise. Every day. Study the food diary and work on nutrition as I can.
- Get some kind of exercise most days for 30-45 minutes.

little update: I did a free unstuck call with them. To my pleasant surprise it was not a big sales pitch. They asked about me. In the end, they gave me 4 really valuable suggestions and sent a follow up email with links to other resources.
I’m certain they do these free calls to get new clients. The cost was pretty high (in my opinion), but I can really see how and why they’d be successful with clients. If you are someone who is willing to pay for 1:1 coaching, then I recommend checking them out. Two things that they do that I’ve not heard of before:
- guarantee results
- One fee for your lifetime

I suspect they only guarantee results if you 100% follow the program? If so, I think that's a fairly standard concept - analogous to the small-print on supplements' advertising that says "when combined with diet and exercise program". I could give you a guaranteed program for free that will work if you 100% follow it, pretty sure. 😉
I'm not saying that's a bad program. It may be great. The one-fee part is good, as long as the fee is reasonable, and either they give you take-away materials or they promise to stay in business forever so online materials stay available.
If you like the videos, if they've been upright in dealing with you so far, and the one-time fee is reasonable, it may be a good thing, I dunno. I have no reason to think otherwise. I'm assuming you've checked out online reviews other than from their site, like Trustpilot or Better Business Bureau or similar. That's usually a good idea.

My theory about paying for weight loss is that it increases motivation. You ask yourself why are you paying all that money and not getting results. So you have a bit of a think about what is going on, and suddenly you look yourself in the mirror and behave like someone who actually wants to lose weight.

The concept with this program is they build a customized plan for each person and stay with you.
It seems pretty good, but expensive and not something I would pay for.
I only included the update for the benefit of other people who might be interested.1
