    HIGHEST WEIGHT - 200 lb, 8/2002. Lost ~50 lbs over the next five years and kept it off for a long time!

    If anyone is interested, the next round of the Biggest Loser Challenge will be starting at the beginning of May. I have been a member of the group since the Spring of 2023 (the beginning of my weight loss journey), and they helped me to lose 90 pounds and get to my goal weight. It's a fun and creative group, comprised of twelve different teams. It kept me accountable and motivated - a fun competition but in a very supportive way. I like it so much became a co-captain of one of the teams (Determined Desert Tortoises). Here's the link to the challenge if you want to check it out.

    MFP starting weight 2/2011: 160.2 lbs Since then I’ve come & gone, started, stopped. Weight bounced around from 140-168 lbs. Wanting to be consistent to lose down to about 98 lbs & be healthier & stronger. (63F, & 4’11” or less & small boned—athlete in past but that was long ago).

    @deepwoodslady That 5 lb loss was coming off a cruise vacation. I think it was mostly water weight coming off. Definitely an anomaly.

    My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253. I would like to lose a total of about 100 pounds and have been working on it for too many years (since 2018).

Every bit of worry and stress has seriously caught up to me. Perhaps tomorrow or the next day will see me back on the scale and if so, I’ll come back and report it so that I will have a baseline for next week. Snow expected today and tomorrow here in Michigan. SOS appointment today to renew license becoming Real ID compliant. Time to renew tabs before May birthday anyway. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I’ll pass the required eye exam with my eye issues including (but not limited to) that hole in the back of my right eye. Seriously worried.

    ☔️☔️04/21 – 195.0 ✅ (Trend Weight – 196.5) Easter was very simple this year due to the ice storm issues at each family members houses. Of course, we made sure that all the grandkiddos got their gifts from the Easter Bunny. Dinner was simple but, as you might expect, salty. I plan on drinking lots of water today. Weight is down today on the scale. I’m very pleased as I was extra thoughtful of my partaking yesterday and it looks like it paid off. However, we all know it sometimes shows up a day or two later so I’ll be keeping a watchful eye. Tomorrow is family dr appointments for son and I. We will go out to lunch afterward as is his habit. They will be checking our glucose numbers. It won’t be pretty. I expect a scolding.

    Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hopped on this thread in January. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I weigh/check in on Wednesday and the end of the month.

    April 2: 138.8 All previous Weekly Goals Met! A tough week for me - my daughter came home unexpectedly for the weekend, which led to three of the seven days over my daily calorie goal and salty! I did manage deficit this week - a whopping 30 calories.

    We finished the Hop River Trail. This was a fantastic experience. The trail doesn't compare to the Airline Trail that started my weight loss journey (IMO), but it was a very nice trail to conquer. I am already looking forward to planning our Summer adventure.

    The official end mile marker says 20.4 miles. The Hop River State Park Trail documentation says 24.8 miles. I am guessing somewhere in between. My Tracker logged 42.93 miles (remember it's an in and out trail). We completed in twelve days, averaging about 3.5 miles a day.

    Now I am working on a soft 75 challenge - actually started the same day as the Hop River Trail. I am 22 days in and going strong. It is a "soft" challenge that I made up on my own. Love the concept of the hard challenge (and in awe of anyone who can do it), but know that I am not perfect, and persistence not perfection was the key to my success (and making everything game). It's still hard!

    Here are some of the highlights of the last three days on the trail.

    Things are starting to bloom, I found a jack in the pulpit - my favorite and the daffodils were abundant!
