Yes, I am here, despite getting lost this morning and posting in the previous round! Thank you @quiltingjaine for another round, and thanks @AR10at50 for helping me get myself together. <3

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 294
April 21 – 30, 2025
SW: 130.4 (travel scale 130.6)
4/21 – 130.6 (travel 130.8) I got through Easter well enough. I did go to the gym, but cut my workout short. Middle of the day, I got into some leftover tortilla chips from last Wednesday, but eventually got smart and poured them loose into the trash. The Easter meal itself was quite healthy. Fridge is clearing out. Today, after I walk needs to be a big packing day. We start our northward journey noon on the 24th. Would love to finish rough 294 with a 129.X.

GW 150 (but any loss would feel like a victory right now) 🚫alcohol, 🏋️,🥛, 🛌4/21 - 182.7, 30 minutes of exercise! And I stuck to my calories. I'm happy to see that my weight is down a little since the last time I weighed myself, which was a couple months ago. I've almost cut out alcohol entirely, just a drink here and there. I think that has to be helping. Right now, I think I need to focus on cutting out snacks at work - very hard for me to do.

Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Spoiler Warning
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life.

4/21 DNW – yesterday we rode the motorbike to Sheffield on the annual Easter Egg run to raise funds for the children’s hospital; our youngest DGS received treatment in there as a 6 month old before his liver transplant, so the charity is dear to our hearts. We do it together with our DS, but this year was a little different, instead of our DIL riding pillion with him, his oldest DD,(aged 6 ½) rode with him now that her legs are long enough to reach the footrests. She was so excited! Three generations took part this year! A total of 827 bikes turned out! Not heard yet how much money was raised.
4/22 140.8 (trend 140.4) No structured waking; travelled back home.

I was on point yesterday and it felt good. I have a busy week which helps me stay on track. Of course unless I forget to eat all day and then make terrible choices especially by eating cookies in the car instead of a meal at home.
The victory is I’ve learned these pitfalls and I do know how to avoid them. I can do this.

I expected to go up, but this actually surprised me a bit. Maybe it will slap me in the face and wake me up.Having said that I need to give myself a bit of grace. We had our traditional comfort Easter foods yesterday with candy mixed in all day. DS brought cheesy potatoes, green been casserole, and home-made baklava. I smoked a spiral cut ham (with maple syrup brushed between each flap with a sprinkled salty dry rub) and we had a few other sides. Sugar cookies for desert.
I am “out of the woods” for a bit here and can concentrate on making some real progress. I will start logging again. Might take a day or so to “detox.”
Apologies if I posted this twice. I thought I had already posted it but can not find it now.

We are officially in the “mow twice a week” phase of lawn care. So that is a guarantee of at least some movement. I should get a bike ride in this afternoon too, if the weather holds.Yesterday I had my teeth scanned for the purpose of making a custom fitted “night guard.” I am a teeth clencher/grinder at night which is bad for the teeth and TMJ. In the old days they would make a plaster cast of your teeth. It was awful. I am sure some of you have had that experience. Now they just wave a little wand around inside your mouth and voila! A digital model of your teeth shows up on the screen, in color.
Now if I could just floss digitally! 😊

04/21-195.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 196.5) Easter was very simple this year due to the ice storm issues at each family members houses. Of course, we made sure that all the grandkiddos got their gifts from the Easter Bunny. Dinner was simple but, as you might expect, salty. I plan on drinking lots of water today. Weight is down today on the scale. I’m very pleased as I was extra thoughtful of my partaking yesterday and it looks like it paid off. However, we all know it sometimes shows up a day or two later so I’ll be keeping a watchful eye. Tomorrow is family dr appointments for son and I. We will go out to lunch afterward as is his habit. They will be checking our glucose numbers. It won’t be pretty. I expect a scolding. Good luck this round everyone. I’m rooting for you all!
🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰04/22 – 194.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 196.3) Dr appts today, lunch out, then I’ll likely be outside burning more of the storm damage mess in the yard. It’s a bright sunny but cool crisp day. That should burn a few extra calories!

My new mantra is “one pound per round”! Did soooo much walking this weekend - 90 mins on Sat and 150 mins on Mon, so Easter was barely a blip. 4/22, F48, I didn't dare get on the scale. Lets say 219.4, same as yesterday.
This morning I finished tracking yesterday's foods, and was horrified at the calories in some of those few times a year foods I make. I think I HAVE to throw away the left overs. Which is difficult because food is crazy expensive. However, if I want to make progress in this first 10 day challenge it has to happen. But I did track! I did choose smaller portions! I did do this and I started a CBT weight loss book/workbook. Oh and I did write out a "sort of" meal plan. Today I will be more cognizant of those calorie bomb foods. I will log every bite. I will drink at least 8 cups of water [looks at water bottle and pick it up to drink].SW RND 294
4/21: F48, 219.4 lbs, 5'6" Goal weight 155
10 day goal is to: stick with it. Not be on a mission to finish the easter leftovers. If they spoil they spoil! Increase my water. Track my foods, even if my intake exceeds my MFP goal. I know my first week will be an adjustment.
I'm nearing my all time high weight. This is my first day on MFP. Last week I knew things had to change, but the holiday was going to set me up for first week failure. I signed up for MFP today, found this challenge and thought, "I can manage this for a win."
I used to be quite fit. I lifted daily and worked out 1.5-2 hrs a day…had abs and all that. My self esteem is in the toilet right now. I'm a 48 yr old gran, who feels like an 80 yr old gran. Hopefully future updates will be more brief…lol

4/21: 10 day challenge
Hi there! I am ready to begin again in an effort to create sustainable habits. Currently on activity restrictions following hysterectomy on 4/17. With lifting restrictions, repetitive movement, and exercise off limit, I will set goals that are doable.
Daily meditation, adequate water intake of 84oz/day, no alcohol, avoiding sugary and processed foods.
Female, 47y/o, 5’2”. SW: 173.5 lbs, GW: 150lbs, LW: 138 lbs 1/24/2018
4/21: 173.5
4/22: 171.2 (I’m assuming this loss is from the IV fluids that I am continuing to get rid of). I did really well for the majority of the day. And then dinner time came around. I didn’t portion my meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans appropriately…and then there was that dang homemade layered carrot cake leftover from Easter, just yelling my name! I let my thoughts of justifying why I should eat a big piece overpower my resolve to stay away from the sugar. Why is it so hard just to throw it away!

@thistime716. I share the same struggle to log every bite! Why is it so hard for me to admit what I just shoved through my mouth, even though I am the only one that will see it?!? One of biggest goals needs to be staying accountable for my behaviors, by logging each of them (good or bad).

4/21 132.5 A good day with granddaughter #2 yesterday. We went over to the pool. I have the beginning of a tan. Steak and broccoli for non-traditional Easter meal.
4/22 133.0 Dinner with fam last night at In-n-Out. We wanted Yonutz for dessert but the area location is permanently closed. Went see the Consrervatory and fountains at Bellagio. Taking granddaughter to Juan’s Flaming Fajitas for lunch today. YES, they really DO flame!

4/21- 168.9 -4/22- 168.5 - Down a touch which I will take. I'm feeling very bloated today and my clothes aren't fitting as great as they have been. I'm focused heavily on getting extra water in today to try to flush out some of this bloat. Yesterday I woke up with a sore neck from sleeping funny and now it's my back, - the right lowest rib in my back. I was able to push through my workout without too much issue but certain movements and deeeeeep breathing does irritate it. Apparently I need to reassess how I sleep! Hah! Food all logged today and I went ahead and copied over yesterday's log to tomorrow so I just need to come up with a small snack to get my carbs within buffer. Despite the bloat and feeling rather heavy, I'm confident this is just a small blip and I'll be feeling better in the next day or two!2 -
SW RND 294
4/21 148.8 this is salt retention from yesterday's ham Unfortunately it was delicious and we have a ton of leftovers so this salt is probably going to plague me all week. But my BS was 98 this morning, so that is a big plus for the week.
4/22 stayed the same, in spite of a calorie deficit and 20K steps. But the easter ham is almost gone, just a bit left, and throwing away food is not my thing. So long as I stay in a calorie deficit, I ignore temporary salt/water retentions. On the plus side, for this round I decided to start a 16/8 fast, starting at 11 and eating till 7. Starting at 11 is not a problem, though I have been snacking a bit on sugar free dark chocolate and almonds after 7. I am not doing this fast so much for weight as to have a normal blood sugar in the morning. Snacking at night is my hardest thing to give up. I have no problem staying within calorie goals but I always budgeted a few hundred calories for an evening snack and this is hard to move earlier or change. I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I fail, but I am going to try every day. On a plus/minus side, I had bought quite a few size 16 insect shield lee jeans in the winter, when they were on sale, and they are all so big that they look like elephant skin on me. I am almost in tens. Wondering if I can alter them. I never thought I'd get this low. So I guess that's a plus, but it is frustrating to not have them available during the worst of spring tick season.

Newbie, F53, H 5’6” GW 150 (but any loss would feel like a victory right now) 🚫alcohol, 🏋️,🥛, 🛌
4/21 - 182.7, 30 minutes of exercise!
4/22 – 181. I know that looks crazy from yesterday but that’s my body. My weight swings a lot. Maybe it’s the hypothyroidism; I don’t know. I’m finding it disturbingly easy to stick to my new calorie limit. Makes me wonder just how horribly I’ve been overeating for the past several months. I did not eat the chocolate at work today! 😊

4/22- 179.14/23- 177.0 Thank goodness gardening season has begun. It’s making the Easter bloat deflate a bit faster. It feels so good to be outside.
The long cold wet Spring has my clients in a bit of a log jam. I’m doing garden triage just hopping from property to property doing immediate work that can’t be done late. Thank goodness for fall clean up!I’m just delighted to be back outside and in my element. This is why I train all winter!
@Chapter_3 I’m always pulling for you and your healthy habits! Oh and in another life I’m a modern day southern spinster witch who lives in your cottage.
