to weigh less at the end of the round than the start

be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    SW RND 294 –

4/21 DNW – yesterday we rode the motorbike to Sheffield on the annual Easter Egg run to raise funds for the children’s hospital; our youngest DGS received treatment in there as a 6 month old before his liver transplant, so the charity is dear to our hearts. We do it together with our DS, but this year was a little different, instead of our DIL riding pillion with him, his oldest DD,(aged 6 ½) rode with him now that her legs are long enough to reach the footrests. She was so excited! Three generations took part this year! A total of 827 bikes turned out! Not heard yet how much money was raised.

4/22 140.8 (trend 140.4) No structured waking; travelled back home.

4/22, F48, I didn't dare get on the scale. Lets say 219.4, same as yesterday.

This morning I finished tracking yesterday's foods, and was horrified at the calories in some of those few times a year foods I make. I think I HAVE to throw away the left overs. Which is difficult because food is crazy expensive. However, if I want to make progress in this first 10 day challenge it has to happen. But I did track! I did choose smaller portions! I did do this and I started a CBT weight loss book/workbook. Oh and I did write out a "sort of" meal plan. Today I will be more cognizant of those calorie bomb foods. I will log every bite. I will drink at least 8 cups of water [looks at water bottle and pick it up to drink].

    SW RND 294

    4/21: F48, 219.4 lbs, 5'6" Goal weight 155

10 day goal is to: stick with it. Not be on a mission to finish the easter leftovers. If they spoil they spoil! Increase my water. Track my foods, even if my intake exceeds my MFP goal. I know my first week will be an adjustment.

I'm nearing my all time high weight. This is my first day on MFP. Last week I knew things had to change, but the holiday was going to set me up for first week failure. I signed up for MFP today, found this challenge and thought, "I can manage this for a win."

I used to be quite fit. I lifted daily and worked out 1.5-2 hrs a day…had abs and all that. My self esteem is in the toilet right now. I'm a 48 yr old gran, who feels like an 80 yr old gran. Hopefully future updates will be more brief…lol

    4/21:  10 day challenge

Hi there!  I am ready to begin again in an effort to create sustainable habits.  Currently on activity restrictions following hysterectomy on 4/17.  With lifting restrictions, repetitive movement, and exercise off limit, I will set goals that are doable.

Daily meditation, adequate water intake of 84oz/day, no alcohol, avoiding sugary and processed foods.

    Female, 47y/o, 5’2”.  SW:  173.5 lbs, GW: 150lbs, LW: 138 lbs 1/24/2018

    4/21:  173.5

4/22:  171.2 (I’m assuming this loss is from the IV fluids that I am continuing to get rid of).  I did really well for the majority of the day.  And then dinner time came around.  I didn’t portion my meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans appropriately…and then there was that dang homemade layered carrot cake leftover from Easter, just yelling my name!  I let my thoughts of justifying why I should eat a big piece overpower my resolve to stay away from the sugar.  Why is it so hard just to throw it away!

@deepwoodslady. Thank you for the kind words! The boredom of recovery is now settling in. That’s a good thing, though. It must mean I doing well!

@thistime716. I share the same struggle to log every bite! Why is it so hard for me to admit what I just shoved through my mouth, even though I am the only one that will see it?!? One of biggest goals needs to be staying accountable for my behaviors, by logging each of them (good or bad).

    4/21 - 168.9 -

4/22 - 168.5 - Down a touch which I will take. I'm feeling very bloated today and my clothes aren't fitting as great as they have been. I'm focused heavily on getting extra water in today to try to flush out some of this bloat. Yesterday I woke up with a sore neck from sleeping funny and now it's my back, - the right lowest rib in my back. I was able to push through my workout without too much issue but certain movements and deeeeeep breathing does irritate it. Apparently I need to reassess how I sleep! Hah! Food all logged today and I went ahead and copied over yesterday's log to tomorrow so I just need to come up with a small snack to get my carbs within buffer. Despite the bloat and feeling rather heavy, I'm confident this is just a small blip and I'll be feeling better in the next day or two!

4/21 148.8 this is salt retention from yesterday's ham Unfortunately it was delicious and we have a ton of leftovers so this salt is probably going to plague me all week. But my BS was 98 this morning, so that is a big plus for the week.
4/22 stayed the same, in spite of a calorie deficit and 20K steps. But the easter ham is almost gone, just a bit left, and throwing away food is not my thing. So long as I stay in a calorie deficit, I ignore temporary salt/water retentions. On the plus side, for this round I decided to start a 16/8 fast, starting at 11 and eating till 7. Starting at 11 is not a problem, though I have been snacking a bit on sugar free dark chocolate and almonds after 7. I am not doing this fast so much for weight as to have a normal blood sugar in the morning. Snacking at night is my hardest thing to give up. I have no problem staying within calorie goals but I always budgeted a few hundred calories for an evening snack and this is hard to move earlier or change. I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I fail, but I am going to try every day. On a plus/minus side, I had bought quite a few size 16 insect shield lee jeans in the winter, when they were on sale, and they are all so big that they look like elephant skin on me. I am almost in tens. Wondering if I can alter them. I never thought I'd get this low. So I guess that's a plus, but it is frustrating to not have them available during the worst of spring tick season.

    Round 294, April 21 - 30, 2025

    Newbie, F53, H 5’6”  GW 150 (but any loss would feel like a victory right now) 🚫alcohol, 🏋️,🥛, 🛌

4/21 - 182.7, 30 minutes of exercise! And I stuck to my calories. I'm happy to see that my weight is down a little since the last time I weighed myself, which was a couple months ago. I've almost cut out alcohol entirely, just a drink here and there. I think that has to be helping. Right now, I think I need to focus on cutting out snacks at work - very hard for me to do.

4/22 – 181. I know that looks crazy from yesterday but that’s my body. My weight swings a lot. Maybe it’s the hypothyroidism; I don’t know. I’m finding it disturbingly easy to stick to my new calorie limit. Makes me wonder just how horribly I’ve been overeating for the past several months. I did not eat the chocolate at work today! 😊
