Many eons ago when my Mom was in the hospital (trying NOT to have me, I was too early), my Dad was on another floor getting a large lesion removed from his back. My Mom used a large Kotex as part of his aftercare wound regiment. My Dad was horrified😂😂! That's how the story went, anyways!

Carol agree with delightful picture of Grandkids!

    Allie cuter everyday!

The detective murder mystery was fun. They gave a clue the clue was in the name tag. I over thought the process and guessed someone else. Still he was the other part of the perfect pair. If you go back and see what name I suggested to my friend who got me the tickets at half price you will get the answer. If you don't care too I will reveal it tomorrow. It turns out she was the murderer another Clue. She sat right next to me and I had to pretend I didn't know her. I said at the end it is good I didn't guess her because I would have disqualified myself because I knew her. My friend who went by Lacey and and I (Cagney) had a good time. I did get up to use restroom near the end and some thought it was me because I was acting suspicious because of my relationship to my friend who was it. I think this was part of the plan to deflect guilt from her. It was fun to play that part! All in good fun! We were also able to walk to the venue because it was so close to my house. It was a good way to burn out the flour less chocolate torte they had for dessert. To live for. So yes I do allow myself an occasional treat. It helps me keep on track.

Another Clue…The person who was it has the same name as someone we dearly love here!

    MFP Weekly Check-In for April 21, 2025

Barbara on the Southern Oregon Coast - Ugh.  Combination of champagne, chocolates and constipation, weekly average WT up to 133.9 from last month's 132.9.  This morning's 135.6 was highest since last June!  That's enough: wine, baking, See's, just enough!!!

Lanette in SW WA State – weight 164.5, same as last week on “weigh in” day despite jump earlier in the week. Step average 7866, down from last week. Total activity minutes 255. Doing PT exercises, house walking with weight again, with modified light Farmer’s carry and suitcase carry - OK per physical therapist. Glad the holiday eating is done for a while.

Kylia – you sure were busy yesterday! Dandelion wine is REALLY good

barbie – yes, it WAS good to hear from PJ. Just wish we could have gone up there while he was on spring break. Denise said they were looking at buying a new house. A model home hasn’t even been built. Don’t ask me why we couldn’t come up during his spring break. She said a while ago that they were looking to move in July. I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Vince is talking about starting to mow the grass tomorrow. Supposedly it’s not supposed to start raining until noon so he figures he can at least get some done. Well, my feeling is that I’ll come home and help him, but as to time, that’s anybody’s guess. Update: Looks like it's not going to rain so we'll probably get the whole yard mowed. Which will be good since I'll be able to get the stakes put out under the power lines and start to paint the posts we use at Halloween/Christmas on the "fence"

Ginny – how scary for you!

Well, the 4th(and last) guy came here with C to look at the deck. He said that it’s beyond his scope. He’s built decks but not one this big. So he’s out, and the one with the quote that made me choke is out. Now Vince wants to do some more research and then we’ll probably make up our minds.

Lisa - love the review. Many, many, thanks. I always think the title looks so lonely without some stars after it's name.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Tracey, awe, well I try. Sayings come to mind, from my Mother growing up. She would tell me to smile often at the world, because then the world will smile back at you. It makes the world a prettier place to look at for you, and for them. So my resting *kitten* face I try to smile. Of course she also told us daughters to "tuck our butts" when walking. Then there's the "sparkle your eyes" bit too. Both were comedy bits to run with. We had a long hallway with a long mirror at the end. My Mom would have us walk doing those things and though she was quite serious, I looked more like a crazy person looking for a bathroom. She tried...😂🙃😂
