Interesting about the high calcium as producers of kidney stones. Now my one kidney has two large stones in it, but the kidney doctor said they aren't going anywhere. If they were created from calcium, it would have been when I had a hyper calcium producing parathyroid in 2018. The markers for that were high numbers in calcium, and low numbers in Vitamin D. So I had the parathyroid removed and all was well. My kidney with the offending stones has atrophied so its not even working. So I'm part zombie with a dead organ inside me!!😂. My other kidney has taken over just fine.

Kay - you blessed the man with $20. Nothing wrong with that as Barbara noted. I've discovered that sometimes FB accusers are wrong about scammers, too. People can proclaim "scam" when they don't know the whole story. I agree, these stores can test a person's patience.
Ginny - hoping the doc has the magic touch in figuring out your leak. Super glad you are heading over there today.
Allie - good luck at the doc today! We want you feeling better!
Tina - oh no, your poor husband. Doggone leg. Glad to hear you are still planning the trip with your niece. Also glad no major damage from the earthquake. I've experienced a couple minor ones here and a major one when I worked in the courthouse - headed for a doorway. I remember it sounded like a big truck!
Well, for some reason my back was pretty sore yesterday. Did my stretches, or most of them. Was going to do more pruning but contacted my landscape maintenance guy and they'll be out this afternoon to finish the job plus tackle other things on the list.
I also tried out a new sleeping position - on my left side, small pillow between my knees, right arm "hugging" a large firm pillow, firm small pillow beneath my head. I love side sleeping but my right arm would always go to sleep and/or become painful. Keeping it elevated seems to have solved the problem and back feels much better today. Credit goes to a recent Bob & Brad YT video.😉

Excellent pick up. Bea was very hyper, but her acting in the park was very amusing. She had to go off for swimming later.
John played Monopoly with the girls. Max came home having come third in the area 4k race!!!! He is not sporty and has done zero training. He just followed someone he knew was good. Clearly a natural.
Edie started cooking cookies for sale before we left. She sells them at the track race on Wednesdays. Part of the money goes to charity, part to herself, part to pay her mum for the ingredients, and part to Bea who sells them for her!!!! She hates selling, but loves baking. They always sell out.
Because my son could not take us home, we headed off to the boutique brewery and then on to Shandiz, where we had our usual delicious meal. Such a nice thing to do ❤️ We always have a lovely chat. 😍
Caught the bus home and now about to watch some favourite TV.
I've booked to have my hair trimmed tomorrow.

Heather - you are very welcome!
So, right this second, I can put 14 minutes in on the elliptical, or I can do an allover workout by getting some more walk-behind mowing done, or by loading trash into bags to put in the clean dumpster that was dropped off this morning… decisions, decisions. Still aching from the mowing I did yesterday…
For a change, I think I'll do the wise thing and stay in the house, do the elliptical and give my body a break. Better than straining something and getting myself laid up for days. Back to the hard physical stuff tomorrow. Have to mow tomorrow anyway, as its supposed to rain Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thinking about Allie and Ginny, and those with husbands with issues, and Rita - really hope things are going better for you, darlin'. Thinking about all of y'all.
Love from Arkansas,

Went to water exercise this morning. Missed yoga yesterday due to having to talk to credit union about fraudulent charges on my credit card. I got an alert but was not sure it was authentic. Turns out it was and they have cancelled my card and are sending me a new one. Glad they caught it.
Beautiful day today. Got some yardwork done. Need to get geraniums planted. DD got some really nice ones at Costco.
Allie and Ginny take care of yourselves.

Well, they asked me to work Mon, Tues, Wed. Fri, and Sat. My guess is that they’re going to have W do the prep on Thurs. I felt so sorry for her. Sat. It didn’t look like she had much to do. There’s just so much bacon you can make and so many eggs. Besides, what do you do after they finish serving breakfast?
Last year we had some trees removed. The stumps were just now taken out. So we had to go and put the dirt back in the holes. Well, we got the three biggest ones done completely and three more (smaller) ones half-done, then started mowing the grass. Then it started to rain. I guess I have about ¾ of the weed wacking to do.
Katie - $20 is only money. That was a generous thing for you to do. You can look yourself in the mirror, he probably can’t.
Ginny – I do hope the doc helps you. That must be so frustrating, you never know when it’s going to start leaking
Rebecca – you reminded me of the saying “laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you’re alone.” I remember hearing about high calcium leading to kidney stones
Sue – so glad for you that the credit card co. found the fraud
Vince promised this gal at ceramics that he’d sub for her husband while he recuperated from an operation. I reminded Vince that we have bowling Wed. night and this is Wed. afternoon. He said at the time that bowling 6 games in one day will not be a problem. Just now C (the wife) called to be sure he’d be there. I could see the look on his face that he really didn’t want to and he said “well, I’ve been bowling like crap”. As if they would care! What difference he thought that’d make, I have no idea. Well, he told her that he’d do it. So he’ll go there tomorrow afternoon and then we have bowling tomorrow night. Fortunately, that league only has 3 or 4 more weeks. But after J (the husband) gets back, C is going for an operation so she’ll need a sub. Ah...Vince made the commitment. I really don't like this league. To me, there are 4 people on a team and it seems like it takes FOREVER to get thru 3 games.

Heather - it sounds like a wonderful day to me. You and John do such a wonderful job of keeping them entertained, that’s hard to do sometimes.
Ginny - I think we all have the tendency to complain with health woes because they interrupt our life so much.
Lisa - I think your brother is a smart man.
I should call my brother this weekend. I have talked to him twice this year and think I should try to keep up on a monthly basis. I miss him. We were never overly close even though it was only the two of us. He enjoyed being at home with our parents and grandparents and I enjoyed being gone. I still would go do something every night if I only had me to think about. I moved out for the most part when he was only 12 and I was 16.
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned the last few years is to not push so hard. It’s made a huge difference in how I feel overall.Margaret - I read everything you write and I admire your dedication.
Rebecca - I would have enjoyed your Mom. My grandmother tried to teach me good posture. I really wish I had listened.
Lanette - it’s so amazing how just the smallest changes make us feel better. I hug a pillow now too.
I went for a walk tonight, first time in almost two years. I only did 21 mins, but thought I would start a little slower so I can keep it up.
I came back and made a card for a coworker. She is always telling groaner jokes. This is my own spin on a design I saw online.

Hello Ladies,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We ensured that all the kids on our unit received an Easter basket. One Kiddo said he wanted a stuffed bear and asked if the Easter bunny would know this. My friend Mary told him to go to sleep, and in the morning, he would find out. All we had were bunnies in the basket. Mary asked if I thought he would be disappointed. I remembered that I saw stuffed bears in the the prize room. So I gave one to Mary for her Kiddo. I gave my teen hers early, because she was agitated. It calmed her. I closed all my movement rings everynight.
I was swamped. I slept all day yesterday and today. I had migraines with all the thunder storms. I couldn't sleep well last night off and on. I took all my meds, then migraine tea and cold mask. Then I finally slept without waking to pain. This week I work Sunday(past), Thursday, and Friday. Saturday, I am off for a wedding in Hattiesburg. DH is flying in to be my date. We will then spend the night in the hotel and drive back to Jackson in the morning. Then I am off next Sunday. I will work on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and follow the same schedule the next week. My Friends daughter was in the hospital. I found out when I took her daughter's meds out of the tube station. I got to visit with her and her daughter. I was too busy to talk to them for long. When I got home Monday, my best friend Baby Suko's mom passed away at 9:00 am. I thought she had more time, but I am glad she didn't suffer long.I loved all of the Easter pictures and the beautiful green house of flowers that Margaret posted.
Michelle, maybe you should help "W" out by telling her what she could do. That way she can feel useful and apart of the team. You can point where she is needed. They should train her.
Heather I love the Easter decor and the painted cards.
Lisa, I hope your friend is doing okay during her time of grief.
Take care everyone. I hope you all have a great night rest.

Mo - Thanks for the sentiment, I talk to my best friend often, and she's staying busily involved in the whirl of shutting off the rest of a life at the moment, social security, his military retirement, VA, etc. She's keeping his house, and all that entails. There is no real reason to keep it, but she can't let it go yet. I get that. Sounds like a tough shift, but not your worst. Busy days coming up, too. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too, my friend.
Tracey - Call your brother! 🤳🏻📞😀 The card's cute. Bet she loves it.
Lanette - I'm struggling with muscle soreness as well, especially my lower back. Getting on the big mower this afternoon, it's like one of those old jiggly belts you used to see in gyms, it should shake all the soreness out, not least because the moles have been having fun trying to rehab all this land… they're good for the soil, but hazardous for walking and for mowing!
Gardening stuff:
Picked up a bag of wildflower seed (I got it from Walmart, Michele, because I know you're going to ask… 😅) for shady areas mixed with soil improvement and a bit of fertilizer - smelled like a cow pasture when I opened it up, brought back memories. Decided to sow them in my brick bed out back that's in shade from about 10 a.m. on, want them there to give the pollinators something to work with. And because I'm lazy, I'm concentrating more on the front this year than the back.
We'll see if they work or not. The only plants in the bed that survived the winter were two hostas and the vincas, and I moved the vincas out in front of the bed. Not because they actually wanted to be moved, but because they would have completely taken over the bed if I let them. They spread quite well, and will provide a nice ground cover at the front and sides of the bed, and cut down on weed eating, if I can get them trained right by covering up the edge where the brick meets the grass now.
My overall philosophy on gardening is benign neglect. I have great hopes for everything I plant, but they have to survive a lot of "I forgot to water," days during most years. Luckily, this land will grow most anything.
Corey's decided to grow everything for his garden from seed, and got that all going last week. He won't put anything out until May, too many frosts have taken their toll in late April. Even so, he can do two full plantings if he wants, as the growing season doesn't really end until October here.
Up early this morning, will work on getting this week's video posted. Had to tape a short bit to insert, so am going to have to up my editing game. First time I've done this. We'll see if it works or not.
Later, y'all…

So I am gonna do a new thing. In my head it will be marvelous! So I am buying 5 containers and label them the days of the week. Weekends are whatever. I will portion out my things, then just take out a container to figure out what I am eating for the day. Anything that is in freezer and frig, I will just list on index cards and throw in the containers. I will take photos.😂🙃

😀 Dentist yesterday. Only a cleaning but the hygienist said that when I come next time she'll have the dentist take a look at what might be a cavity. She knew that I was too fragile to take on anything new today. I'll see her again in September. Annie was a good girl in the car for over an hour.
😀 Annie sunbathed while I pulled weeds. My neighbour is out of town and asked me to put her garbage can at the curb and since she was gone for so long there was extra space for me to put several bags of weeds. A win for both of us.
😀 My other adventure was changing the sheets while Annie lay in the bed and played with a ball and tried to grab the sheets.
🌞 From Outer Order-Inner Calm
"Your first instinct should be to get rid of stuff. If you don't own it, you don't have to organize it".
🌻 About gardening. I am pulling weeds in preparation for planting. The soil is generally not warm enough for planting until Mothers Day, so I have time. I have seeds for blue pumpkins, poppies, nasturtiums, and mammoth sunflowers. I'll get a tomato plant when they show up in the store I got one from the last three years. I found out the hard way that if I plant seeds directly into the ground, the birds steal them but if I plant in pots next to the house, they survive so my pots are ready. Later I can transplant the seedlings into the ground. For the health of my back and knees, I work for only about an hour a day. Since I walk for about two hours a day and ride my exercise bike for about two hours, that is plenty.

Tracey Love the HappyPea card. Have a HappyPea day!
I would add to that sentiment Barbie. If you don't own it you are no longer responsible for it. It was such a great feeling giving those boxes of research to someone who could use them. I just gave a neighbor some children's aprons that her daughter could wear. They were in a box of my school collection. Nice to see things end up where they belong and no longer in my sea of stuff.
Drank 8.5 glasses of liquid yesterday. Still waking at 4 as a consequence but no LEG Cramps in the morning that has been a problem for some time.
I learned that higher urea numbers could be a sign of kidney stones. Kidney stones can also cause UTI. I have no sign of a UTI. I have had one years ago so I know what it feels like to get one. I plan to do what I can to keep from getting one. MORE liquids and less animal protein more plant protein, low sugar, and yes you guessed it Fiber, Fiber, Fiber!

Hmm my new thing is grinding on my minimalistic mind. So will think of another way to organize my food.
This morning went to the gym with husband. Walked 30 minutes. Still getting used to my new med, spirolactone so keeping it easy. I also exercise fasted so another layer of carefulness. Side effects of this drug is blood pressure going too low, fainting. My blood pressure before exercising was 136/89. After it was 102/80. Keeping a log for dermatologist.

Good Afternoon;
Boy was I wrong about the weather. I took a nap and woke up with a searing headache. I let Rose out to pee, and I did so downstairs. Then, thunderstruck, Rose was scratching frantically to get into the house (I'm glad she got to pee). I washed my hands quickly to let her in. Then it was raining buckets of water. I saw these kids running home. Then we had hail come down. Rose is attached to me like glue. The weirdest thing was that there was a bumblebee in my on-suite bathroom. I saved one in my patio the other day. I am afraid of bees, but I appreciate what they do, so I try to save them from a distance. I hate the buzzing sound they make. My neighbors would watch me and laugh hysterically as I ran and flailed my hands. They thought I was having a mental episode, because they couldn't see the bee. Then I explained why I was doing that. We had a lemon tree in front of our house and they were atractect to them. In my backyard, we had orange, tangerine, lime, fig, plum, and peach trees. Many bees were back there. I almost got killed on Pacific Coast Hwy by a truck running from a bee. So forgive me for spraying him 😪🐝. There has to be a way to trap them and let them go. My mom use to do that for me. She had a bee farm in TN.

Barbie … I'm surprised your dentist didn't look at the suspicious tooth while you were in the office. Every time I see the hygienist, the doctor comes in and performs an exam. For little problems, he often asks if I want to take care of it then if my schedule allows. For larger problems, or if I'm on a tight schedule, we make an appointment for later in the month.
My scale has resurfaced and I absolutely have to get on it and face the music. I am very sure that I am putting on weight … my pants are tightening … and I need to get this ship righted ASAP. I've made enough excuses for my overeating and sloppy food choices.

A piece of one of my teeth broke off today. No pain, but I will have to get it seen to. Boo! I had my bi-annual check up and hygienist appointment earlier this month.
Had my car serviced today, and it needs a small part replaced. I was supposed to have my MOT on 30 April, but the repair shop couldn’t fit me in for the repair until 9 May, so I had to go online and change my test date. It was surprisingly easy to do. New test is on 28 May.🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Quick check in-
Going to mom's this weekend to finally get her green house planted. I sure hope they deliver the soil- she had said they were coming yesterday but I don't know.
Thought my nephew was coming on Saturday but she said he was coming Monday. Thought, great, I will have the whole weekend with her but NOPE- saw a post from him on FB- he will be there Saturday.
I had told her a few weeks ago that I would be bringing cash up to buy dad's coin collection from her beings I really wanted it(something dad and I did together when I was younger)- just to talk to her on Sunday and she had taken the whole collection to the coin shop and sold them. They gave her HALF of what I had told her I was giving her. She said she didn't remember how much I had told her. I was very upset with her but after a day, I just kind of let it go- just another thing gone. That was the only thing of my dad's that I really wanted. So used to being disappointed by most people that I wasn't even that hurt.
This is the second time that her forgetting that I wanted something that she gave away(my grandmother's writing desk) or sold.
Only comment I got from DH was " I told you so" because I didn't make a special trip up right away to get it. I did NOT need that right then. I walked away before I said what I was thinking.Update on MIL- On Monday, dh went over to the care home and signed the paperwork to put her on hospice care. They don't think she is going to die anytime soon but it is coming and she does qualify for the extra help. Medicare will pay for all of it- it means more personal care for MIL which helps the care home staff and they will provide all supplies, including diapers so that will save the care home person $$
Dh is slowly taking a day or two off from seeing her. He is starting to plan getting away for a day or two, even planning a trip or two . Something to look forward to.
We have not gone anywhere just for fun, in over 5 yrs.
Monday we have an appointment with the VA(took over 2 months to get an appointment) to see if there is any financial help to pay for part of her care home costs. Hopefully it goes well.Old cat still hanging in there- just gave her a bath. She weighs just under 6lbs now-still incontinent so lots of clean up from her. Dh will see just how much there is when I am gone for the weekend. He will have almost 2 full days of taking care of all the cats on his own plus on time doing the dog(son will do the other times)
Going to read and catch up here before feeding all the cats and getting ready for class.

Tina outside might not be safer depending on how tall and nearby other buildings are. In SF the Loma Prieta Quake falling debris crushed cars and covered sidewalks feet deep. You are right there is not really time. That quake sounded like an oncoming freight train.
Kylia what Tracey said about the work you take home. Hope you can get some rest/respite.
Ginny you have been very brave and uncomplaining throughout all this. ((Gentle hugs)) Tracey the HapPea card is cuuute!.Mo sorry for the loss of your Mrs. Hashimoto. ((hugs))
Allie what did the endocrinologist say?
Heather, Margaret, Rita lovely pics.
Lisa, Barbie, Sue your outside work is inspiring.
Rebecca “crazy person looking for a bathroom” LOL! I resemble that remark!
Lanette, thanks for the Bob and Brad reminder, will check them out for hip stretches.
Michele do you think Vince wants you to cover for him at the ceramics?
Beth is the snow all gone?
Terri hope the broken tooth stays pain free til you can get it taken care of.
Debbie ((hugs)) just ((hugs)) Papa told a wonderful story about Little Grandma and the drummer and how she ended up with the gold watch. As a child I played with that watch and of course, broke the crystal. As an adult I worked with a jeweler who was able to replace the crystal and give the watch a “tuneup” so I could give it back to Papa for Fathers’ Day. Later, Papa gave little grandma’s gold watch to my cousin Frank, because as a male, he’d carry the family name. He didn’t carry if very far, all his children were girls. I was devastated. Even more when Mama “organized” the family photo albums and discarded many of my favorites; her smoking a pipe, toddler me pouring “tea” for a friend, etc etc etc. So hard to try to conceal those strong emotions to avoid distressing the well-meaning parent. ((hugs))
Machka was it you who had a genetic predisposition to DVT? If so, are you on any long term medication?
My left hip has been aching ever since my marathon Medford trip. Afraid it might be another DVT, so dosing myself with aspirin, doubling up on my breakfast pineapple, increasing the turmeric gummies, snacking on crystallized ginger and drinking even more water than usual. Made it through BB&B this morning for the first time since the 14th. Pooped out from line dancing after an hour. Hoping the good weather hangs on through tomorrow, would love to play in the dirt.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

I so understand the pain of not getting what you hoped you get, of stuff of your Dad's. I was down in CA when my Mom passed. The terms were that she would let her husband live in the home for a year, then it would be sold. My step father did just that. During that year, I think I paid for about 3 trips up to go thru our childhood home, (some with kids in tow, other times without. My sisters and step father weren't "ready" to do it. Then I got a call from my eldest sister saying the house needed to be cleared, and what did I want. I got a couple things, my Moms rocking chair, a bowl that is really old, but my sisters got whole rooms of furniture. The downside of living away, is that you aren't really included. It was frustrating, but I have photos, and stuff in a hope chest, and that's all I really need. Over the years my eldest sister has given me odds and ends, guilt maybe? She knew I got the short end of the stick. The kicker was when the house sold, proceeds were split up into 4 payments. Each of us three daughters, and my step father. So I paid off some bills, and had a lot still in savings. Turns out by the time I got mine, everyone had processed their check and there wasn't actually the amount the check was written for. Some mathematical error on the executors part. So my check bounced. And for that amount, the bank can't just settle it, and run it thru again, it has to be reissued. I had $100 on overdraft charges, which my step father paid. Uuugh! What a deal!
I hope your dear husband can adjust to less and less visits to his Mother. It will take time. Hugs!
