    @musicsax Your motorbike event sounds fabulous. Glad DGD got to ride! Love the pics!

    @_JeffreyD_ Due to my invisalign, I have had those scans a number of times these past two years. It is amazing to watch. Regarding flossing, I am hooked on the cordless water pics. It is interesting to see what gets what. I have mixed up the order of dental care at times, and each flossing and water picking are effective in different ways, and are great in combination.

    This is the year that I finally get it done 🚢 I steer my own ship
    Destination: Healthy BMI at 50

    I was happy to see the scale down this morning! It flickered on 154.8 for a second and I got excited. I lifted heavy last night so I wasn’t sure if that would cause inflammation but it didn’t. Was on the treadmill twice/20 min yesterday. Walking on the treadmill is harder than outside, I have to be upright and more aware of exact position but I will get used to it! It’s quiet and easy to use, so far happy with it. (GoPlus 2 in 1)

    4/21   132.5  A good day with granddaughter #2 yesterday. We went over to the pool. I have the beginning of a tan. Steak and broccoli for non-traditional Easter meal. 

    4/22  133.0  Dinner with fam last night at In-n-Out. We wanted Yonutz for dessert but the area location is permanently closed. Went see the  Consrervatory and fountains at Bellagio.  Taking granddaughter to Juan’s Flaming Fajitas for lunch today

    4/23   132.5  DGD#2 flies home to KC at noon. It’s been a good visit. No extreme activities. I behaved myself food wise except for chips at Mexican restaurant yesterday but even then, I didn’t go crazy.

    04/22 – 194.2 ✅ (Trend Weight – 196.3) Dr appts today, lunch out, then I’ll likely be outside burning more of the storm damage mess in the yard. It’s a bright sunny but cool crisp day. That should burn a few extra calories!

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/23-194.2 💠- (Trend Weight: 196.1) After lunch out yesterday and a bit too many healthy snacks last night, I’ll take it! I’m quite sure TMI helped as well as the raking and burning I did for several hours yesterday. Possible rain today. I have a lot of projects inside too so I’ll be watching the skies to see if I’ll be working inside or outside. Dr. appointment was disappointing. My blood sugar A1C went back up to 8 point something from 7.0 as tested on Dec. 18th. That is putting me back into some very bad numbers where lots of other health issues start coming along. I can’t afford the GLP-1 meds for diabetes he is recommending so if I don’t turn this around, I could end up on insulin. I’ve fought hard against it. I’ve got to get my *kitten* together and get this done!

    4/21 DNW – yesterday we rode the motorbike to Sheffield on the annual Easter Egg run to raise funds for the children’s hospital; our youngest DGS received treatment in there as a 6 month old before his liver transplant, so the charity is dear to our hearts. We do it together with our DS, but this year was a little different, instead of our DIL riding pillion with him, his oldest DD,(aged 6 ½) rode with him now that her legs are long enough to reach the footrests. She was so excited! Three generations took part this year! A total of 827 bikes turned out! Not heard yet how much money was raised.

    Well, there is my .4 inflammation from Tuesday’s workout. My Mom always said this and I am the same: I have a one day “lag” on my body’s reaction to a good/less-good day. If I overeat on a Saturday the weight shows up on Monday. If I do really well on a Wednesday my weight is down on Friday. Crazy but I swear it’s true…

    You all have me thinking about habits. My non-negotiables are: morning stretch/meditation, daily walk, meals are based around protein, drink tons of water. These four things are so automatic but it took me years to get there. And yes a 7 day holiday can completely mess them up 😆

    @stephanj - I agree with your mom and have often said here that it can take 2-3 days for the scale to reflect what I’ve eaten. My increase today is quite likely from the Mexican lunch on Tuesday.
