Ideas for at home beginner strength training workouts (free)

Hi all

I am at a good weight, I keep active with steps throughout the day, I do not have a gym membership and not ready for that yet

I want to start strength training daily, I know I can build the habit in the evenings and know all the techniques to make it stick, I just need a good free programme to follow whether via YouTube or netflix preferably as I don't know where to start and don't have time to design my own workouts. I have weights and equipment and want to avoid any jumping due to living in a flat.

Has anyone tried anything that works from home for weights?

Would appreciate any tips or feedback

Check out the links in this thread, which includes plans for fully equipped gyms, home gyms, zero-equipment bodyweight work, etc.

Also consider what your aim is with exercise. Do you want to build strength? Build muscles? Become fitter? For the first two you don't really need videos, but a progressive lifting programme tailored to your needs, and enough weights. If you want to reach either of these two goals by means of bodyweight exercises you increase the difficulty of the exercises instead of the weight, and here you don't need videos neither as progress is individual. For a fun class videos there are masses of videos around, but likely not in the thread that nossmf above linked to as those are really for the first two categories.
