    • April 10: 195.4 - Pizza and beer for dinner (within calorie range, no significant gain - YAY!)
    • April 11: 196.0 - Mexican for dinner high sodium queso is a killer
    • April 12 - Forgot to weigh before heading out this morning. Will do better tomorrow.
    • April 13 - Didn’t weigh. Didn’t want to wake hubby to get the scale. It’s in the bedroom and I slept on the couch. Hubby was sick enough yesterday that even I didn’t eat…
    • April 14: 192.4 - Obviously didn't eat much over the weekend. Empty digestive tract. Will go up tomorrow once I get some food in me.

    • April16: 192.4 - Finally feeling human. Even ate dinner last evening

    Thursday night I started with a trainer to help me further tweak things and keep me moving forward in my goals to lean out and build strength. I had a good session but I am now having a bit of buyers remorse. It expensive and I feel guilty , it feels selfish and like I am throwing money away. I have three private sessions and then I can join a group 1-2 times a week. They want me to do twice a week but its $40 a session for the group Thats over $300 a month if I do twice a week. I don't want to spend that . I sort felt like I got a little sucked in , marketed to, but its partially my fault for not fully understanding the rates before I agreed. I guess I can try it for a month and then not continue if its gets too much. Seems the new fad with gyms is very pushy marketing, which is why I stayed away to begin with but I feel so stagnant with my workouts at home.

    I finally got an upcoming trip nailed down with a friend as far as dates and location. We are both turning 50 this year so have decided to go celebrate it together. More to come on that! But staying active and fit will benefit me greatly for that trip .

    Lastly I ate like a horse today.. I don't know what the deal was but I was craving a hot sub and got one at Jimmy Johns. It definitely hit the spot, then I got a small vanilla soft serve cone at mcdonalds. I have been craving icecream for weeks so I guess today was craving day. So , strike two and then had dinner at home, taco chicken bowls . I ate way too much food today so I am not expecting any happy numbers on the scale.

    Dang the weight is just not budging whatever I do for three weeks now. Some advice I’ve read says to stay consistent and it’ll start to move again and then other advice says to try a break where you eat more than usual for a couple of days. Maybe I’ll give it one more week and then try the “refeed” approach

    @HappyDonkey75 I know that feeling! Like you ended up spending more and committing to more than you thought. These gyms are so good at marketing and sales. But the group thing once a week sounds really motivating!

    I’ll need to take time to read and catch up this weekend. I took off weighing for two weeks while sightseeing in Europe! My DH and I had an incredible time.

    My Apple Watch tracked 4-5 miles per day and most days we had only a light breakfast with lots of cappuccino’s and a snack, then enjoyed a nice dinner with wine. Ate all the goodies too - croissants, crepes, shortbread cookies, patisserie goodies and French baguettes-divine. But ready for fruits and vegetables- I feel spoiled living in California with our endless fresh food.
    Now ready for reality!

    @HappyDonkey75 and @MercyRoth I know what you mean about the rates for gym trainers. My trainer left our fitness center and opened her own gym at her home a few years ago. Yes its an added cost $30 for a 30 min private strength session but group classes she offers a bulk class $100 for 12 classes. She's helped me so much.

    Have been keeping my calories below goal. My weight still hasn’t budged. Just to be sure I dragged out my old scale. I’m going to weigh myself tomorrow morning on that to see what it says. It’s not a digital scale so might be hard to get an accurate reading. My regular scale might not be working properly. I changed the battery and it still isn’t giving me a reading half the time. Makes me think that maybe when it does give a reading it’s not right! One can only hope!

    I’m going to hang in there regardless of what the scale says tomorrow. Must keep trying. To everybody struggling..You can do it!! We just have to keep pushing forward! Keep at it.

    @MercyRoth and @tishsmith101 exactly.. I didn't want to get into a huge expense . good to know that its not just me that got suckered in! I will finish my two remaining private sessions and go from there. The pressure to spend more is real and they use this " community and family" approach to get you more sucked in.. I already got a couple of text messages from the owner , telling me he will be sending these types of messages out to help keep me accountable.

    My thought?

    Excuse me sir, but I think I have already proved I am accountable given I have lost 35+ lbs on my own and stayed consistent on my workouts for a year now. I certainly don't need texts from you to keep me accountable.

    I just want to learn how to take my fitness to the next level with strength and start working on body composition. Those are my goals. Those are the things I want some direction on , once I get it, I will go back to working at it on my own.

    Anywho, I need to be ready when I tell them I only want to do once weekly group session. Any suggestions on phrasing that to minimize what will ultimately be pushback?

    I won't be weighing today but wanted to check in.

    Yesterdays food.

    Early morning breakfast- protein yogurt and low fat cottage cheese mixed in .

    mid morning snack-Whey Protein shake with green powder

    Lunch- another jimmy Johns Beach club sandwich (I am craving these lately!)

    Dinner - left over mexican chicken black beans over rice.

    My lunch was a bit on the oversized end of things but I was busy all morning with our horse event that also went long into the evening, so I guess I worked up an appetite. Hopefully it didn't do me in too much and my activity all day offset it.

    Got excused from jury duty by 10am so workouts happened yesterday! Surprised the scale was not up today, usually is on Tuesdays. Makes me hopeful that I'll end the month lower even if not at April goal.

    • April 6: 194.6 - Taught spin 4/5 
    • April 7: 196.0 - Probably a true number
    • April 8: 196.5 - Chinese for dinner, high sodium. No biggie
    • April 9: 195.2 - Taught Spin 4/8
    • April 10: 195.4 - Pizza and beer for dinner (within calorie range, no significant gain - YAY!)
    • April 11: 196.0 - Mexican for dinner high sodium queso is a killer
    • April 12 - Forgot to weigh before heading out this morning. Will do better tomorrow.
    • April 13 - Didn’t weigh. Didn’t want to wake hubby to get the scale. It’s in the bedroom and I slept on the couch. Hubby was sick enough yesterday that even I didn’t eat…
    • April 14: 192.4 - Obviously didn't eat much over the weekend. Empty digestive tract. Will go up tomorrow once I get some food in me.
    • April 15: 192.0 - Not feeling great
    • April16: 192.4 - Finally feeling human. Even ate dinner last evening
    • April 17: DNW - running late this morning, forgot
    • April 18: 193 - Equalizing after being sick.

    • April 29: 190.2 - Surprised it didn't go up. Had pizza for lunch and dinner. With exercise I was under calories, but I expected a bump up.

    Feeling pretty decent. I recommitted to an exercise plan a week and a half ago to give me energy. I was in a bad cycle of being too tired to exercise and not sleeping well but the only way out of that is just to suck it up and do it. The weather helps significantly. Have asked family to help me stay on track with it.

    Today is private intro session 2 of 3 with the trainers at the gym. Last week I came away just sore enough to know I did something .
