What Snacks Do You Recommend While Trying to Lose Weight?

Hey everyone, good morning!
As I start my weight loss journey, I'm looking for some snack ideas to help me stay on track between meals. I’m hoping to find options that are either ready to go or don’t take much time to prepare. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Two ways to think about snacks when losing weight, IMO:
- Things that are low in calories
- Things that might have more calories but that contribute well to all-day nutrition
I'm assuming we want things that are filling, tasty, and not crazy high calorie.
Some I like: Lowfat string cheese, cottage cheese, fruit (including some dried fruit, but consume with fluids so they're more filling), crispy lentils/chickpeas/broad beans (commercial or home-made), hard boiled eggs, dry-roasted edamame, raw veggies with sensible calorie dip (again, commercial or home-made), mini Kind bars, plain nonfat Greek yogurt mixed with chocolate peanut butter powder and frozen mixed berries (still frozen), Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars.
Most of that list is under 150 calories, many under 100; most has protein which is filling for me, or a good amount of fiber (ditto), or both.
There are people who cut out snacks as part of their weight management strategy, which is also fine if it suits. I learned I was better off if I didn't let myself get tooooo hungry, so I should fit in a filling snack sometimes or I'd be more likely to go whole-hog on the next meal. While losing, I kept shelf-stable small snacks in my purse, backpack, or car just in case I was out and needed something. (Balancing act: Tasty, but not so craveable I'd eat them just because they were there and yummy. 😉😆) Now, in maintenance, in the rare case of that, I'm more likely to stop at a convenience store for a cheese stick or hard-boiled egg, maybe a lower-sugar Greek yogurt.
I'm vegetarian. Probably someone who eats meat/fish would consider jerky, maybe flavored tuna or chicken in pouches, that sort of thing.

Hard boiled eggs, fruit, or a half sandwich.

Generally speaking I snack infrequently but when I do most of my snacks could be found on a charcuterie board.
For example, prosciutto, bresaola, capicola or any leftover cooked protein like steak or chicken and fresh mozzarella, blue cheese, cheddar, hard boiled eggs, pickled veg like olives, cornichons and onions and veg like cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and carrots, also some pates, I do like a good pate. I make keto crackers and always have some available and I do make a few dips like aioli, garlic or lemon and I always have a romesco.
When snacking I might grab a few items but sometimes it's a meal when I put a big plate together. These are in my fridge most of the time and I'm on a keto diet and why these snack items might seem a little strange by some people.

Apples, oranges and bananas.

I eat lots of fruit and veg each day and don't count it as snacks. I do have at least one real snack each day, usually a small chocolate/wafer bar or 100ml of custard because I'm worth it.

I snack exclusively on fruit, veggies, or a small daily handful of nuts. I also have a lot of herbal tea if I'm feeling peckish but not genuinely hungry.

to help with my sweet tooth. I mix 1 cup of nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of zero sugar instant pudding mix. I like the cheesecake or pistachio flavors. Put it in the fridge for an hour and it tastes just like cheesecake,

I’m celiac so it’s hard to find snacks on the go. I bring a few things with me or just have them at home. I like little individual packages of hummus and rice crackers, 0%greek yogourt with a bit of maple syrup and raspberries, sliced (deli meat) turkey with a bit of cottage cheese on the side/cut up tomatoes, also liking canned salmon (nothing added to it) on rice cakes with pickles . I liked this canned chicken or leftover chicken breast shredded with grapes, celery, onion, bit of seasoning and greek yogourt mixed and eat it in salad wraps. I guess that is more lunchy though. I find I am gravitating towards cut carrots, grapes, berries, piece of gluten-free toast with almond butter.
