4/21- 168.94/22- 168.54/23- 167.54/24- 167.54/25- 167.84/26- 168.54/27- DNW4/28- 170.4 -4/29- 168.4 - This is delightful! I'm not quite back down to my lowest weight over the last few weeks (167.x) but considering this is a 2lb difference overnight, I'll take it. Today I'm over calories by 34 as of now and I don't have an afternoon snack so I'm going to have to muscle through until dinner. I'm over by 18g protein and 24g fat but I have 62g carbs left which is helping offset things. My primary goal is to meet fiber (which I've met my minimum of 25g) and protein and to stay relatively close to my caloric intake (which I'm within 50 cals) and therefore acceptable. So long as I can stick to this plan, I should be okay as far as continuing to see progress. I need to start looking into meal plans for next week today so I can input them into MFP or MacroFactor to determine if the macros can be balanced. So long as my fat intake isn't so ridiculously high for a single meal (dinner) I can manage. The key will be to input the recipes to determine what dinners will be so I can then select lunch options to best fit. I didn't do that this week, hence my macros being so far off. It's all a learning process, especially with BF alternating keto and having to balance his food with mine to limit meal prep time and food waste.5 -

SW RND 294 ~ 230.2 Goal this round 228.5 (less than end of March)
4/21 230.2 ~ Had Easter at my DH's Mom's, so no leftovers…a good thing. Working on a good water day today!
4/22 230.2 ~
4/23 230.0 ~ 🚶🏽💧🚫⬇️ good on protein but over on carbs (seems always). Great exercise day yesterday. Was good on calories until after dinner. I had settled in at about 1400 calories, eating small meals through out the day… but I was still hungry, even had all of my water. I intentionally allowed all the snacks to disappear so there's nothing really bad to consume. I did find some chicken strips that put me over my count. I think I'm going to grill some chicken breast and put in the refrigerator for these times.
4/24 229.2 ~🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️ ok!
4/25 229.0 ~ 🚶🏽🍎✅💧⬇️ late check in but morning weigh in.
4/26 230.6 ~
4/27 232.6 ~ Seriously? Great, long workout on Sat. Felt good and this is how the scale rewards me. Never mind…looked back at my tracker. We ordered pizza ….4/28 232.8 ~ No idea what this was about
4/29 230 ~💧⬇️Headed back down…..not even sure what was going on so I will just pretend it didn't happen!
4/30Welcome back @MSWDiet We are here when you need us! :)
@AR10at50 Happy Belated Birthday to Karen's horse!
@Chapter_3 ~ Interesting!! I had a puff of marijuana in my early twenties. It just put me to sleep. I think the laughter was probably great medicine for your soul, but not feeling like yourself would be weird, for sure. Hopefully, it's out of your system and you're back to your natural self.
@Skyleen75 ~ I love your honesty!

Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

EW RND 293 – 140.6
SW RND 294 –
4/21 DNW – yesterday we rode the motorbike to Sheffield on the annual Easter Egg run to raise funds for the children’s hospital; our youngest DGS received treatment in there as a 6 month old before his liver transplant, so the charity is dear to our hearts. We do it together with our DS, but this year was a little different, instead of our DIL riding pillion with him, his oldest DD,(aged 6 ½) rode with him now that her legs are long enough to reach the footrests. She was so excited! Three generations took part this year! A total of 827 bikes turned out! Not heard yet how much money was raised.
4/22 140.8 (trend 140.4) No structured waking; travelled back home.
4/23 141.8 (trend 140.4) 9.33 miles walked.
4/24 141.8 (trend 140.7) 3.6 miles walked, with little DGD (3), after a craft morning at her local library we took a picnic up to the peaks. She loves to step up & across the rocks up there. Update on the Easter egg run; it raised £68,000.
4/25 141.8 (trend 140.9) 8.89 miles walked, must stop indulging in the Easter chocolate today.
4/26 DNW - came away for a weekend to Bridgnorth. 9.07 miles walked, resisted the Easter chocolate until 2.00pm 😕 , then.... Left it all at home & only brought healthy food & 0% alcohol with us! So glad MFP behaved to allow me to post this second attempt 🤔
4/27 DNW - 9.27 miles walked.
4/28 141.8 - (trend 141.2) 6.09 miles walked before we headed for home. Today is MIL's Celebration of Life.
4/29 141.8 - (trend 141.3) 6.71 miles walked after all the celebrations of the day, would have been so easy for both DH & I to have just sat at home, but at 6.30pm I motivated myself to make the effort & DH joined me, it was a good chance too to mull over the events of the day.
4/30 141.8 (trend 141.3) 7.72 miles walked. 1.2 pound increase this round; need to have a successful next round.

Just think what I could do if my weekends aren’t a mess and the weather co operates to let me work every day.
I have high hopes for May. Today is another busy, busy day. I agreed to take my younger friend to the movies this afternoon. I will probably fall asleep but that might help me resist popcorn.
I even more stupidly agreed to stop and consult with a friend of a friend about their garden. Sigh, old ladies and their gardens will be the death of me but one day I will be one and I hope some young 50 year old whippersnapper will help me.

@_JeffreyD_ If you want to know exactly how every inch of your body looks from every terrible angle just do a tick check.
It is humbling.
I had Lyme (huge bullseye) almost 30 years ago. Luckily I had every symptom very quick and treated within 24hrs of discovering the tick. I have had no complications since.
But I take ticks seriously, hence the full length mirror and bright light of my garage bathroom…
5 -
@quiltingjaine I had done some reading and saw that. That would change my life.
3 -
@Skyleen75 Lyme is my number-one concern regarding ticks.

This is my posting format….Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed. (Calories-In yesterday)/ Comment
4/20/25 : 228.2 SW a day before.
4/21: 230.0 (feast)
I expected to go up, but this actually surprised me a bit. Maybe it will slap me in the face and wake me up.Having said that I need to give myself a bit of grace. We had our traditional comfort Easter foods yesterday with candy mixed in all day. DS brought cheesy potatoes, green been casserole, and home-made baklava. I smoked a spiral cut ham (with maple syrup brushed between each flap with a sprinkled salty dry rub) and we had a few other sides. Sugar cookies for desert.
I am “out of the woods” for a bit here and can concentrate on making some real progress. I will start logging again. Might take a day or so to “detox.”
4/22: 229.0 (1784 CI)
We are officially in the “mow twice a week” phase of lawn care. So that is a guarantee of at least some movement. I should get a bike ride in this afternoon too, if the weather holds.Yesterday I had my teeth scanned for the purpose of making a custom fitted “night guard.” I am a teeth clencher/grinder at night which is bad for the teeth and TMJ. In the old days they would make a plaster cast of your teeth. It was awful. I am sure some of you have had that experience. Now they just wave a little wand around inside your mouth and voila! A digital model of your teeth shows up on the screen, in color.
Now if I could just floss digitally! 😊
4/23: 226.8 (1905 CI)
I don’t know what I did to deserve this drop.Yesterday’s exercise was to go morel mushroom hunting with DS and DGS. We found one lonely mushroom about 5 minutes before it poured rain. But we kept hunting just like we didn’t care. If nothing else, it was a good memory for DGS to put in his mind. The world offers too much crud trying to crowd out what is really important… real experiences with real people.
4/24: 227.6 (1706 CI)
Really good exercise day. Spinning class kicked my rear end. And Cubs won 4th out of 7 games for the year against the Dodgers. (my brother-in-law is a staunch Dodger fan, which makes this extra sweet)4/25: 227.4 (1979 CI)
Very nice day so I had an 18mi bike ride with a friend. Seemed like we were riding against the wind, both riding out and coming back. HA! (no, it wasn’t uphill both ways.)I had about 500 unnecessary Calories-In yesterday. My trend weight is really messed up by the indiscretions of Easter weekend.
4/26: 227.4 (1974 CI)
I had a brief meeting with a friend (HS classmate) yesterday at his studio. He will be my Rotary program in a few weeks. He is an “automotive graphic arts designer.” In the simplest of terms he is a pin-striper, but he is much more. He can paint just about any image on your hood, fender or tailgate.4/27: 228.2 (?)
I did not log my CI. It wasn’t pretty because we went out with another couple last night and I didn’t give my fitness a second thought.4/28: 227.4 (1438 CI)
Pretty good recovery. I need to confess that I didn’t log my CI for yesterday until this morning. I must be forgetting something. I was more mindful yesterday though.I am getting a lot of exercise this ten-days, but the Calories-In overpower it. I am not even close to paying attention to carbs.
4/29: 227.6 (2028 CI)
A crazy amount of movement yesterday saved me. Exercise class followed by a long tromp in the woods with DS. We found 36 Morels this time even though it was kind of dry. It will rain for the next three days and we will go out again on Thursday. Two bad things about the hike,,, Poison ivy and ticks. I walked through tons of ivy with long pants but low socks. No Symptoms yet. :/ As for ticks, after I got home I found two crawling on me. I looked it up, they were Lone Star Ticks. At that point I woke DW from her nap (which is more dangerous than a tick) and had her give me the once-over. I am sure that was a sight. No bites.4/30: 225.2 (2119)
This weird drop helped me maintain the same ten-day average as last round. And it indicates an undeserved 3# drop from the starting weight of the round. Oh well, a bank shot counts the same as a layup. The bad thing is I must use 225.2 as my starting weight next round. HA!!! Maybe I can capitalize on this.See you all next round.

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 294
April 21 – 30, 2025
SW: 130.4 (travel scale 130.6)
4/21 – 130.6 (travel 130.8) I got through Easter well enough. I did go to the gym, but cut my workout short. Middle of the day, I got into some leftover tortilla chips from last Wednesday, but eventually got smart and poured them loose into the trash. The Easter meal itself was quite healthy. Fridge is clearing out. Today, after I walk needs to be a big packing day. We start our northward journey noon on the 24th. Would love to finish round 294 with a 129.X.
4/22 – 131.0 (travel 131.0) No reason. 5+ mile walk. Food and tracking were fine. Scale just loves to tease me.
4/23 – 130.0 (travel 130.0) I really expected today to be an up. I did do my last workout at the gym with my trainer (10 sessions total), but did was not perfect. Stressors were triggering my drive to grab things. I was not awful, but did not track everything and just accepted that today would be a new day. Today is last full day in the Keys. Going to do my walk, and continue packing and cleaning, and start loading the car.
4/24 – 129.4 It’s a miracle! This morning is last weigh-in in the Keys. (travel scale is in suitcase for next three mornings) I actually got to see a 129 number before heading north. The last time I saw this number, which was on the way up, was 11 months ago, May 25th. Waist measurement has improved since Jan. Went from 31 and now 29.25. Why does this matter? In Jan, when I took measurements and look at a dress chart, my bust was like a size 6, my hips a size 4, and my waist a 10. Of course that is just one chart, but the point is that there is/was a disconnect between measurements. I would like my measurements to match closer to a single size, any single size so at least clothing will fit. Got less than 4 hours to finish packing, loading and cleaning. Starting northward shortly!
4/25 – 129.4 MIL’s scale (129.6 travel scale) Stopped tracking yesterday after getting in the car northward, but tried to be thoughtful about my choices. No exercise yesterday other than going up and down two flights many times while loading the car. Will try and do something here while at my MIL’s but still TBD.
4/26 – 129.6 MIL’s scale (129.8 travel scale) Awake early. No exercise yesterday, and will be spending the next two days in a car passenger seat. Will continue to make best effort and see if I can somehow keep the 129.X. In the car in one hour. Next stop Stony Creek Virginia for the night.
4/27 – 130.2 (did not post this on 27th) Long day in the car. No exercise. Tracked first part of the day, then ultimately gave in, so was over for the day.
4/28 – 129.8 Home scale (129.8 travel scale) Now am home. Yesterday’s drive was never ending. We’ve never encountered so many separate slow downs/delays which added up to extending our drive by about 2.5 hours. Maybe not awful, but being in the car 13 hours starts getting really uncomfortable. In the end, I again gave in and ate a bit more than planned. I’m grateful that there is no real damage. Today should be good, despite the fact there is no food in the house, and my mom is expecting me to visit at 10 am today. But, I’ll get through.I need to get a gym membership set up up here quickly as well, as I want to keep habits in place. Each year, when I come back up north, I drop all the healthy habits I practiced in Florida. I need to stop that pattern.
4/29 – 130.2 Maybe a little consequences showing up. Calories were ok yesterday, but I have not exercised since last Wednesday. Going to head out for a walk shortly, and food for the day is pre-tracked.
4/30 – 129.2 Happy dance! Tracking spot on yesterday. Did a walk. Less distance than florida, but at my own faster solo pace and here we actually have hills. Last night I did my sign up for planet fitness, and intend to show up today to try it out. The biggest news for me is that I decided to risk mother-of-the-groom dress shipping. I actually looked really nice in a few of them. I have 14 more coming in the mail that I ordered on the car drive north, but after yesterday, I am uncertain if I grabbed the right sizes. Looking at my end of round final statement below, I actually beat the dress shopping by 1 day, so it should read "-1 days until dress shopping". :PEnd of Round 294 count down: 137 days until the wedding, 0 days until dress shopping

SW RND 294
4/21 148.8 this is salt retention from yesterday's ham Unfortunately it was delicious and we have a ton of leftovers so this salt is probably going to plague me all week. But my BS was 98 this morning, so that is a big plus for the week.
4/22 stayed the same, in spite of a calorie deficit and 20K steps. But the easter ham is almost gone, just a bit left, and throwing away food is not my thing. So long as I stay in a calorie deficit, I ignore temporary salt/water retentions. On the plus side, for this round I decided to start a 16/8 fast, starting at 11 and eating till 7. Starting at 11 is not a problem, though I have been snacking a bit on sugar free dark chocolate and almonds after 7. I am not doing this fast so much for weight as to have a normal blood sugar in the morning. Snacking at night is my hardest thing to give up. I have no problem staying within calorie goals but I always budgeted a few hundred calories for an evening snack and this is hard to move earlier or change. I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I fail, but I am going to try every day. On a plus/minus side, I had bought quite a few size 16 insect shield lee jeans in the winter, when they were on sale, and they are all so big that they look like elephant skin on me. I am almost in tens. Wondering if I can alter them. I never thought I'd get this low. So I guess that's a plus, but it is frustrating to not have them available during the worst of spring tick season.
4/23 148.4 Last of the ham was yesterday, so hoping tomorrow sees the end of water weight. I've been in a calorie deficit, salt aside, so hoping for a whoosh in the next couple of days.
4/24 took the dog to the vet early, did not weigh
4/25 147.8 finally back where i was before the easter ham And yesterday, before I ate dinner, tested my blood sugar and it was 96 So that was a plus!4/26 147.2 finally a drop
4/27 147.6 And I bounced back up but was expecting it as yesterday was a spaghetti with the family day. I eat less than a measured cup, on a bed of veggies, but I always see a carb water weight bounce the next day. Stayed well within my calorie deficit and I walked 20K steps as usual, so I do think this is just carb weight. The next two days should be better. I warned my family I am not cooking a sunday dinner and they'll have to fend on their own the next two days. They'll eat hamburgers and pizzas while I eat salads and low carb meals and we will both be happy.
4/28 146.4 !!! met last minigoal of 147 and I have only .8 pounds to be not overweight. And my BMI is 25.2 so only .2 to be at the high end of normal BMI. And I tested my A1c this morning, and it was 6.4, which may sound high, but it was over 10 when it was tested 6 months ago, so that is a big drop. And though my BS has been stubborn for a few days, it was 100 this morning. Not as good as 96 but still the high end of normal. New minigoal 145
4/29 146.2 !!!!
4/29 I came back from having bloodwork at the doctor (no breakfast) and weighed myself when I changed clothes after coming home 145.6 !!!!! :) Can I count it or not? hahaha
4/30 145.6
Total lost this round 3.2

04/29-192.6 💠 - (Trend Weight: 194.7) I’ve had the same weight 3 days in a row. Very unusual for me. Trend weight continues to go down so I’m pleased as punch. Today is travel for afternoon medical appointments for both son & I. Restaurant food. I’ll try to stay smart and adult-like. Kid-in-a-Candy-Store be gone!
🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/30-196.0 -❌ (Trend Weight: 194.8) Traveled yesterday but I really don’t feel I deserve this. Went to a steakhouse. I ate ¾ of the steak, ½ of the sweet potato and none of the pasta side (boxed up and given to son later). I shared about ½ the mini loaf of bread with unsalted butter. Water for my drink. After a couple of hours shopping, on the several hour trip home we stopped for a milkshake. Snack last night was a typical 1 oz of nuts. All water or black coffee all day. No breakfast, no lunch and only a little over half my dinner. I know I had that shake but 3 ½ lb gain overnight? And this was after the morning potty including TMI ! I’m disgusted with my body. I feel like, “what have I done to you?”, that I can have a shake, which, while out of my plan still should not make me gain almost 4 lbs! Thought I would be ending this round with my best round in awhile. I am feeling like throwing my hands up but I am pulling back and committing to making today a good day anyway. I can make it worse or I can make it better. I choose better. See you next round. I remain so proud of each and every one of you for your hard earned accomplishments.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

4/21 132.5 A good day with granddaughter #2 yesterday. We went over to the pool. I have the beginning of a tan. Steak and broccoli for non-traditional Easter meal.
4/22 133.0 Dinner with fam last night at In-n-Out. We wanted Yonutz for dessert but the area location is permanently closed. Went to see the Conservatory and fountains at Bellagio. Taking granddaughter to Juan’s Flaming Fajitas for lunch today
4/23 132.5 DGD#2 flies home to KC at noon. It’s been a good visit. No extreme activities. I behaved myself food wise except for chips at Mexican restaurant yesterday but even then, I didn’t go crazy.
4/24 133.0 I ate one meal yesterday which included some of my sourdough bread. Considering all of the eating out (and no TMI) since Saturday, I’m okay with this.
4/25 133.5 Had 1/2# Jesse Rae’s BBQ burnt ends, 3 waffle fries, 2T house made sauce (HOT - YUM!) That is everything I ate yesterday!
4/26 133.5 Community French toast breakfast this morning. DH says he’s tired of everyone and he’s not going. Still waiting for TMI
4/27 134.0 We both went to the breakfast yesterday and we probably BOTH should have skipped!
4/28 134.0 Today is Art Quilts meeting across town.
4/29 133.0 I enjoyed Art Quilts yesterday more than I have in a long time.
4/30 134.0 Panda Express OMAD yesterday. No noodles, no rice but way over on invisible carbs!

It's just carb weight, not fat. Carbs reportedly need to hold water for processing. In a day or two, it will disappear. There's no real way that i know of to get around this. I limit carbs to 20 or so grams a day, most days (not for weight, but because I am a T2 diabetic, or prediabetic). But on the days that I have 50 grams or so, or have a saltier than usual dinner, I expect to see another pound or so on the scale the next day. It's frustrating, but it just is something to expect and not let it derail you.

🚫 - No Wine
⬇️- Downward trend

4/30 230.4 ~ End of sad round. Felt good but the pizza splurge seemed to have tanked this round. On to 295!3 -
4/21- 168.94/22- 168.54/23- 167.54/24- 167.54/25- 167.84/26- 168.54/27- DNW4/28- 170.44/29- 168.44/30- 167.4 - Yippee! Another nice drop and I'm feeling comfortable with this number. From here, I hope I can stick to my macros and activity goals to see some real drops that aren't hidden by bloating or water weight. Tomorrow is another high fat day with identical breakfast, lunch, and dinner to yesterday so I can balance around that by offsetting the high fat with lowering my carbs. The focus is on hitting protein, fiber, and calorie goals since it seemed to work for me yesterday based on the scale progress this morning. I went ahead and pre-planned meals for next week that give me plenty of buffer for snacks. This is especially helpful since I'll do my check in and get updated macros on Friday morning and that's when I'll be grocery shopping and can adjust on the fly as needed. Things are looking up!6 -
Hi all,
Each day my goals have been to:
- Log my foods/exercise into Myfitnesspal
- Document my progress each day
- Eat healthier and reduce the intake of junk food
- Reduce alcohol intake
- Aim to go to the gym 4 times per week.
Over the last 10 days I've managed to log my food and drink in my diary for most days. I've been to the gym 4 times and have eaten relatively healthy. I could improve on reducing my alcohol intake... Despite only losing 0.3kg from 63.6kg (140.21lb), overall it's a good start and I'm happy I'm making small positive changes. Thanks for the motivation! 🥰

4/21 135.6 Back to basics. For real. Fell off the “habit” train so must not have been TRUE habits after all…
I often have fluctuations, but this huge swing is serious. Behaviors have been erratic since early February - will focus on “doing” and not “being”.
#ENGAGED! #HSF
I’m definitely more content when “routining”. No wading … jumping in! I have approximately three months to regain my groove for my two year JGMTD anniversary and a lifetime to experience the reward … My reward? Contentment.
Good luck to all!
4/22 133.6 #ENGAGED. Solid day back. good 💦but still puffy. Somewhat lethargic. Better 🥩 (110g). Will 🎾🏋️♀️& ⏱️ today. Mindset change leads to optimism. Claiming identity #HSF. Do vs Be.
4/23 131.2 Well I guess the scale lied to me Monday and/or it’s lying to me this morning! Nothing is real until I get well established into my routine.
After almost 2+ years of daily tracking (and 11 years pretty consistently) I can state with certainty (for me) that two days of home food prep and knowing EXACTLY what enters my mouth (Whole Food / single ingredient) is THE difference. (Hydration and IF 18/6). I’m sure the scale will bounce around as I continue moving forward.
Activity: yesterday was the first day I played tennis in 10 days & unfortunately, I injured myself. I am just beside myself… My right tricep was killing me as well as my neck, back and shoulders… (maybe aggravated areas from my fall last week). Must be a combination of all the physical work at the property and using unfamiliar parts of my body… I went to bed in so much pain last night. I could barely move and then miraculously I woke up after a solid night sleep feeling fine “almost” except for my right tricep… Some things are just inexplicable.
Puffiness and brain fog starting to dissipate. I’ll lay off weights today and will go for a very long, long walk. Maybe two. DGS Chauffeur time this week!
Property update: What a roller coaster! Nothing yet from the “We are going to buy your property” neighbors… Strange. The roof is going on April 30 and we will list ASAP.
4/24 I woke up, feeling no pain yesterday but as the morning progressed the pain returned. I decided to completely take the day off. Very little movement. 🚶♀️6k steps getting organized, errands, completing property disclosure statements, Listing agreement, etc. chauffeured DGS and went to the grocery. I’m better this morning, but I think I need to take another REST day from structured movement. We’ll try and get my steps in, pay attention to my posture, do some breathing work, 🙏, healthy nutrition, and plenty of 💦💦💦. 🙆♀️.
NSV: My body loves one ingredient, whole food, and plenty of hydration. The 4/20 spike is still a mystery… I guess it was a combination of eating unfamiliar restaurant foods over a stretch of time and lack of hydration, TMI, cortisol, sleep, etc. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made.
4/25 DNW this morning because I woke up once again WAY too early… Yesterday I was off track a little because I went to lunch with my tennis team. I was very good but had a handful of tater tots… Why? I don’t know they just looked so good! Very little movement yesterday and my back flared up around 7PM. It was painful sleeping. Ice works better than heat and I’m feeling better this morning. Will take it easy AGAIN today. I think all this came from the jolt of the fall almost 2 weeks ago… I have another landmine tonight with my high school friends and I’m planning on eating protein only.
4/26. I will catch up tomorrow.
4/27 the evening of 4/25 won’t be forgotten for a good long time… Never in my life have I ever smoked marijuana or a cigarette. That night I was telling my girlfriends about my aches and pains and injuries and one of them said oh you need a “Gummy”. One drink in and I said OK. The THC gummy did not take my pain away, but I sure laughed all night and then I got the munchies and continued to eat all night and all day Saturday… While the laughter was awesome the munchies were not - so here I am. It took a long time for it to wear off yesterday. I was more than relaxed - bordered on zombie-dom. I did not like the feeling of not being me so that was a very short story! I still don’t know if I’m myself yet this morning, but I’ll try to act like I am. Pain still around.
Will walk today, 💦and take care of myself! ONWARD!
4/28 up and down up and down. I’m not even gonna try and figure it out just that I’ve eaten nonstop since Friday night… some of it is real some of it isn’t… Today is the new day and a new week. It’s no excuse Monday.. Although I cannot lift weights, I can eat right, walk, and stretch.
ONWARD!
4/29 Must be the honest-to-God weirdest round I’ve ever experienced! probably the weirdest eight days of my life to tell you the truth!😎🎢 scale and & 🎢 behavior… And the two didn’t lineup! Yesterday, I was able to manage re-entering “the zone… “. Not easy. I will focus on “routining” the next two days for gaining momentum & control. Sleep has also been extra erratic - much for me to contemplate, adjust & adapt.
Over the next two days will be a full court press at the property. Roofers tomorrow. Photographer Thursday. MLS this Friday. We have a long but manageable punchlist.
My neck and shoulders are still quite sore but doing so, so much better. Taking it easy has been a huge challenge. Lots of heat and ice. I’ll extend my quiet time an additional 3 to 4 days once I feel healthy again… Never ever want to re-visit this!
Also, must make sure I’m getting enough magnesium, potassium, and sodium. The optimal trifecta!
(In Louisiana, the trifecta is celery, onion and bell pepper… The secret to all Cajun foods!)
Onward!
4/30 132.2. Thank GOD this 🎢🎢🎢round is OVER!!! Pain is almost gone. Need to stay still longer. Routine returning. Good 🙆♀️🚶♀️💓💦🏆 yesterday. See y’all in #295! Let’s finish 💪🏻!

Hello Faithful MFP Supporters 🙂
It's so good to know that no matter when I jump in and out you are still here for all these years. I'm trying again to get accountable daily. I fell of the wagon and it ran over me and backed up a few times but I'm working on things.
Getting my property back to "Before Hurricane Normal" has both consumed me and paralyzed me. By January many of us just stopped. We needed a break from the daily grind of clean up and red tape. Of course the rest of our lives didn't pause because crap keeps falling out of the trees and insects are nesting in the uncleared fallen vegetation. I'm back at it daily and trying to stay sane.
Thanks to all of you for help with my sanity. I rarely comment but I browse your stories and appreciate the camaraderie here.
Round 294 goal:
Finish these last few days after a late start AND be ready to start the next round
Return to low carb with consistency
Weigh in and post here daily
Update and follow through on my exercise plan

Consider a Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Center affiliated with a university hospital and research. They are the best at ruling out or confirming MS. They treat only MS and suspected MS patients and use methods that may include off lable prescribing to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
With telemedicine you may not need to I travel if the distance is a problem. You will need a willing, competent, open minded local neurologist for a long distance treatment plan. However, MS research is growing and finding such a facility is easier than it was a decade ago.
Most important, gather every scrap of your medical files as far back a you can find them. Varied presentations mean seemingly insignificant little things may be clues. Once I understood, decades of slight annoyances, things no one would see a doctor for, completed the puzzle.
Diagnosis or lack of one is frustrating, time consuming and expensive. MS is still largely diagnosed by elimination despite advancements in imaging. That's why MS only neurologist are so important. Yale affiliated doctors went back to my high school transcript for SAT scores and grade school records for my early IQ. The most relevant medical files were long destroyed but neuropsychology, physical examinations, school records etc documented changes over decades. MRI lesions do not tell the full story. Few lesions with little change cannot rule out advancing illness. Spinal taps are only valuable if done during the worst of an active exacerbation.
The first neurologists I saw basically looked at me and shrugged. Inconclusive and useless and expensive so I started digging. This was decades ago when I didn't need to bypass results optimized for placement on google. You'll have to do research not google it.
Whatever the outcome for both conditions you'll be glad you took control. No matter how caring and competent your physician is you are one of so many. Maximize those few minutes using the best micro specialist you can find for your needs and arrive organized with all of the data they may need and every question you need answered. I hope you get definitive diagnosis and effective treatment in the very near future.

4/30 actually 5/1…I didn’t weight. I did log. I’ve hated my big reach in closet that only has 2 tiny doors for the last 16 years. I ripped the wall off. I now have to figure out how I will finish it and try to source sliding doors…or some sort of folding or accordion doors
