hi @petragf6198 welcome to MFP
Consistency IS the way to being consistent. Create a routine. Weigh and log consistently, as accurately as possible and honestly. The only person your hiding that chocolate bar or Oreos from is yourself. It will get easier as you become more familiar with the app, and start to “populate” it with your favorite ingredients, which will start coming up as soon as you type the first few letters.
Also learn to use the “copy meal” function (the three little dots next to each meal segment in your diary). That way it’s easy to copy last nights leftovers to today’s lunch.
You’ll find lots of little hidden tools like that in the app to make your logging life easier.
And finally, find a form of exercise you enjoy. Yeah, it buys back a few calories but the mood uplift getting off your bottom will give is worth far more than a few calories. Doesn’t matter what it is. Walking, bouncing on a mini trampoline, jumping rope, swimming, dancing in the kitchen, whatever makes you move. During the pandemic lockdown, I spent several weeks doing laps on my stairs (much to the cats’ delight). It was actually a darn good workout.
also, read these boards, participate, ask questions You’ll find helpful “sticky” posts at the top of each sub boardMuch success to you!
