10/1, Sat: 7.40~ Walking & Jogging/Walking Intervals
Total Miles for Week 1 (10/1-10/9): 7.40
Total Miles for October: 7.400 -
10/1: 3 miles walking
10/2: 1 mile walking
Total 4 miles
I have shin splints in one leg now...GRRRRR. Trying to let them heal so not running for a couple days. Then tried to go swim today and the pool was closed. Seriously?! LOL story of my life. So I just walked a little bit then did strength training...hoping to get some serious miles this week!0 -
I need to take off a few weeks from running so my knee can heal :sad:
I would love to come back for November.0 -
Britta-That sucks! Make sure you get some rest and let your body heal.

i went for a long run today. it was only supposed to be 7 but i did 10 and felt awesome! i could have kept going, so maybe all i needed was a break. i feel more confident that i can do 13.1 now that i have broken the 9-mile-mental-barrier. my arch is still bothering me, but not too much.
great job on last month! second place is awesome!

I wore a compression sleeve on my hurting shin while I ran tonight & I've been alternating heat and ice this evening too. The run felt so good! Going to try to bike and swim most days this week to rest it though..0 -
1 mile run. i pushed myself and ran 6:08 minute mile. i felt like a speed demon.

30 minutes = 4 miles. no more runs until sunday. i am ready.

thanks for the well-wished. my first running attempt at a half-marathon is complete. i am looking forward to never doing another one. it went well, and i think the difference was in the numerous aid stations. i need to fuel better if i am going to run longer distances. i was slower than i was hoping for (my time was 2:26), but i'll take it.

3 miles to get back in the swing of things. legs felt very heavy, but it was a nice short run. i don't have a race lined up for november yet and i am feeling kind of adrift. i'm not sure how much i want to push myself, but not having a goal in mind is weird.
