I am cutting myself off from posting myself anymore on this thread. I am trying to cut down on my social media usage and have replaced it with this as I keep checking for new posts on here way to much.

05/05 – DNW 💠 - (Trend Weight: DNW) Decided to go out of town with my son to go do a little grocery shopping at Meijer and Aldi’s. I was disappointed that Aldi’s did not have the Keto bread I usually buy. They opened up a Chinese Buffet in that town so I ate lunch there. Obviously there is lots of sodium swelling today. This is the only Chinese food within 100 miles of my home so it was quite the treat. I did make sure to bring home lots of groceries that support my plan. I also was able to stop by and see my two youngest grandchildren who were nearby. What a treat! I may decide to come back in a day or two and insert my weight a little late. We’ll see.

I am logging so even if it's a gain this week. At least I am trying.

The dog apparently believes she is going to be a mom. She is lactating. Not sure how to tell her that she should have had the puppies a fortnight ago if she had gotten to be with a male last time she was in heat.

Saturday will be 17th of may. The day Norwegians celebrates our constitution by eating ice and cake. Later years champagne has also become a part of it.

Hi, I joined last time. I think I will just keep track and post results all at once at the end of each month and then the grand total at the very end to make it easier.

    Best of luck all!

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hopped on this thread in January. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I weigh/check in on Wednesday and the end of the month.

    My Weekly Goals

    • 🥅 Stay under Ideal Weight (140)
    • 🎯 Work on buffer - (137) whenever I get there is fine.
    • 👣 115K Steps Weekly
    • 🥗 Under Weekly TDEE
    • 🚶‍♀️50 Miles walking
    • 🫀 3 Cardio (non-walk) weekly
    • 🏋️‍♀️ 3 Strength Weekly
    • 🥊3 Virtual Reality Type Boxing
    • 🧘‍♀️1 Stretch type weekly
    • ⌚ 800 Min of Intentional Exercise Weekly

    Starting weight: 138.6

April 2: 138.8 All previous Weekly Goals Met! A tough week for me - my daughter came home unexpectedly for the weekend, which led to three of the seven days over my daily calorie goal and salty! I did manage deficit this week - a whopping 30 calories.
April 9: 137.8 All previous Weekly Goals Met.
☔April 16: 138.8 Over a bit on my weekly TDEE (98 Calories), Met all other Goals
April 23: 138.6 - All Goals Met - under my TDEE 311 Calories
April 30: 139.4 - Over on my weekly TDEE (366 Calories), Met all other Goals

🌷May 7: 138 - Slightly over on my weekly TDEE (112 Calories), Met all other Goals
🌷May 7: 139 - Under my weekly TDEE (795 Calories), Met all other Goals

    Nutrition:

It was a great week for me, except for my usual Tuesday night sabotage. I swear I don't know why the craziness the day before a weigh in. Like clockwork, fantastic results on the scale, and then Bam - Tuesday comes and I binge. I'm up on the scale today (still within my range). I tend to binge eat if I get a bad nights sleep. When I wake up in the middle of the night, the first thing I do is raid the pantry! With that in mind, this week's nutrition goal is no eating at 8PM.

On the good front - lots of fruits and veggies this week - and every color of the rainbow! At least 3 fruits and veggies every day, with an average of five.

    Fitness:

Slayed my intentional fitness goal - it was an event weekend for the Hogwarts challenge that I am in, so was moving all weekend. Over 1,000 hours this week, and 140K steps. Phew! I met all my personal exercise goals. I made it to the 1,110 mile marker on my quest for 2,025.

    Other:

I am determined to get my house in order - so at least 15 minutes of cleaning daily. I read Sink Reflections the past couple weeks for my nonfiction book, and have made a modified version of cleaning plan to meet my needs. She breaks her home into five zones, and completely cleans once zone a week - 15 minutes at a time. I completed zone one, and am working on my second zone. It has taken me a LOT more than 15 minute a day to get it all done. Once I hit every room top to bottom, I think the daily cleaning schedule will keep it so I won't have to do much more than that a day. Fingers crossed it works.

    Soft 75:

I made it to day 44 of my soft 75 challenge without any pass days! Here's some pictures of my adventures last week.

🌺🌺🌺🌺 05/19 – 195.4 ❌ (Trend Weight – 195.2) It’s been a HORRID week. I’ve been Outside of my eating plan about every single day. My cravings have been uncontrollable and I even had a binge fest one night. The more I give in, the stronger the urges get. It’s a battle that can’t be won. I Absolutely must abstain from “just one bite” and “little cheats”. It does me not service Whatsoever. I’ve got to get strong and stay there! I can do better. Yesterday I tried a “shortcut” by practically starving myself. That only works for a few hours and then a binge ensues. It’s not the answer. Today I will try to just eat whole, clean, proper foods within my plan. There truly are no “shortcuts”. It’s a lifestyle, not really a diet, right? I’m about ½ lb less right now than the start of the month so that’s helpful to my resolve and spirit. I think I’ll take that ball and run with it! Holiday weekend coming up before next weigh-in. I may have a bad day but there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON that the other 6 days can’t be filled with Care and Excellence!

🌷May 14: 139 - Under my weekly TDEE (795 Calories), Met all other Goals
🌷May 21: 137.1 - Under my weekly TDEE (345 Calories), Met all other Goals

    Nutrition:

On the good front: I was able to stay under my weekly TDEE despite a couple of outings this week. Out to dinner with friends on Friday night, and family Mother’s Day/birthday celebrations on Saturday. I’ll call that a win. I also had at least three servings of freggies every day this week again this week. Met my fiber goal 6 of the seven days, also net my protein goal every day.

I did NOT meet my personal no eating after 8PM goal this week. As I mentioned last week, I tend to binge if I get up in the middle of the night, so I made my nutrition goal to not eat after 8:00 pm. I only met this goal three of the seven days. I didn’t binge, but I did have a snack in the middle of the night. Going to try again this week.

    Fitness:

Fitness continues to be my strong point. I had over 1,000 minutes of intentional exercise again this week. Made it to 1,177 miles in 2,025. I did NOT get in the interval training, nor did we did not get out on the kayaks like I wanted. But I made all the other exercise goals.

    Other:

I continue to make progress on the cleaning chores and completed at least 15 minutes every day. I finished reading Sink Reflections, which I enjoyed, and am now reading Body Clutter. Can’t say I’m that much into it but will finish it. I am still reading Goblet of Fire along with the Hogwarts Challenge, and The Way of Kings. Both are fantastic. I made it to day 50 on my soft 75 challenge.

    Weight:

When I was losing - I followed @deepwoodslady rule of the magic "7" and count getting to the next decade for me until I hit the "7" mark. That three extra pounds meant that no matter what time of day I weighed, I would probably still stay in the decade. Since reaching my goal weight - my new goal was to again get to that "7" mark - and whenever I got there was fine (as long as I didn't go over the 140 mark in the AM). I was so close this morning! But it still evades me! 137.1!

    Another week another gain...

I have logged for 3 weeks now since I had to buy a new pair of jeans. I had to buy them in that size that I don't identify as. Unfortunately just logging doesn't help when I am still up in that cashew nut treat dish like a starved squirrel everyday at 2pm.

On the 17 th of May I had 23 333 steps. Thank you Norwegian children's parade. But I ate enough ice cream and cake to stil be in a surplus. The dog has an environmental allergen reaction and today when there was hail she looked like she wasn't sure she needed to pee

183 today. Less than 185. But should be lower. I need to figure this out. 😃

@Cheery83 🤣 I have missed your entertaining updates. Glad you're back. Here's to better planning (and results) for the upcoming week.

@takinitalloff Dr. Gundry says that cashews are in the poison ivy family. I haven't researched this myself and I'm sure that it is made safe in the processing. However, I thought I would mention it to you in case it helps "turn you off" on the desire to eat them daily. Just trying to help….LOL

@deepwoodslady Thanks for the info but I was quoting @Cheery83 — she’s the one with the “cashew addiction” 🐿️

That might explain why I love cashews and they hate me.
