Problem with adding exercise in the myfitnesspal ap

What kind of problems exactly? What kind of exercise do you try to add?

Yes, on Android app, started with a recent update.
On the diary day, under Exercise - Add Exercise and then any selection, has no response, the App just ignores it.

I found that if on the diary, if I use the "+" , then pick Exercise and then any selection, the App will let me add the exercise.
