Egg automatically selected as cups in recipes, turning off alerts for some macros, weekly trend view

I really enjoy the app. 3 things I'd love to see:
- I build my meals around recipes (I work on a recipe and split it into 6-9 portions). For some reason if I type in 3 eggs in the ingredient list, the app automatically presumes it's 3 cups of eggs. This is a small irritation. Just like it presumes it's cooked oats when I mean raw, or cooked chicken breasts when I mean raw.
- I really try to be balanced overall. Most times I'm below on quite a few of the micro things (sugar, sodium, fat…) A few occasions I will indulge. I'd like to be able to turn off the "Be careful! You've exceeded [nutrient] for today!" alerts. I'm in maintenance and I'm really trying to develop a healthy relationship with food. These alerts stress me out sometimes.
- A weekly view would be awesome. Sometimes one day is a bit more indulgent (or one meal). But generally I even it out. Knowing that the average for the week is good is helpful. It would help developing a healthier relationship with food. (I'm thinking something similar to when I check my Resting Energy/Active Energy average on the Apple health app… I like to look at my weekly trend versus stressing out on a daily basis and being able to say: 'ok, I didn't move as much this week'.)
Thank you.

Are you typing "raw" into the search box when you look?
This isn't something that is really fixable…the database is 99.9% crowd-sourced and you have to do a bit of looking before choosing an entry. There ARE good entries in there.
The other thing is that in the Admin-entered database from the USDA, they use every possible measurement in a drop-down list and so you'll get "cups" for eggs, since they are technically a liquid/volume food.

What I mean is that I click "create a recipe", then in the bottom half there's the 'ingredients' box where you can type your ingredient list and they'll be matched with food. It's the most convenient way while I'm building the recipe.
If I type each of these, each on their own line:
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups oatmeal raw
- 1kg raw chicken skinless
Ok. I can see that the oatmeal is selected as raw oatmeal, and raw chicken as a strange funny character raw chicken (I must have been unlucky when I tried the other times, or typed it differently), but the eggs are definitely automatically selected as cups.
Just as an example. These are just irritations. They don't keep me from using the app. But they are irritations.

But that is the way that (whoever) entered them. If a member such as yourself said, "Raw" in the description and there are multiple "verifications" then it's a more favored item in the search. You CAN select a different one.
I think what happened with Eggs is that you got the Admin-entered item, which like I said is from the USDA and it will have as one of its choice (often the FIRST choice) - Cups. Just change the measurement - it's in the dropdown.

I understand what you're saying @cmriverside but that's why I posted this in the "Feature Suggestions and Ideas" part of the forum. These are just suggestions that would simplify and improve the quality-of-use of the app. At least for me. I'm guessing not just for me?
Typing ingredients in a recipe, I feel like it's nearly a given that that means raw ingredients? If I type 3 eggs in a list, it's a given that it's not 3 cups of eggs or I would have typed 3 cups eggs? It's a search on a string?
I'm basically saying that improved string matching would be nice.
That's all.
