Why do I do this?!

Going along really well for past few days (only joined last week).... and then I have a reasonably healthy lunch of homemade chicken soup.... but there are those lovely big fluffy italian bread rolls I bought for my son.... so I have to have one with the soup.... that's not too bad..... but then I have to have ANOTHER one!
Now I feel disgusting..... stomach bloated out and feeling really horrible.
Why do I do this to myself.... I KNOW I am going to feel awful afterwards, I'm not even hungry by then so why do I stuff myself like this and sabotage the past few days.

We all do it sometimes :P just try to keep those sort of things out of your reach, like serve enough for your son and keep the rest away somewhere, that will help a bit0

t takes time to figure out all your triggers. You will learn how to best control. For instance - I found that freezing my bread works best for me - and I have it individually portioned. This is how we learn - take measures to control the triggers!0

EVERYONE does it. And I know the feeling of feeling gross and weird afterward but just like anything else (that's challenging to you) in life you really should take things one day at a time and don't beat yourself up over it. It was one day there will be others! And your only starting...plus no one said don't have a roll next time just to kick the want just have half. It's hard at first but you'll get the hang of it. I haven't had a flavored drink in 4 months! I was dying...now I look at soda and don't even want it!0

i guess that's where this forum will really help .... great to be able to actually tell someone what I've just done and get support rather than feeling guilty and being too embarrassed to tell anyone in person.0 -

I bought Hershey Kisses to potty train my 2 year old. She gets a 'potty treat' whenever she goes on the potty. I bought the 'party size' bag. What a mistake. One for her and 5 for me. I need to find a potty treat I don't like. I find that when I want to indulge on something I don't normally eat, I tend to OVER indulge. It's best for me to just not have that stuff around0

Great in theory but a bit too simplistic in reality ..... my teenage son is super fit and athletic and there is no reason for him not to be able to have things he likes in the house.... I'm not talking chocolate, just a bread roll ..... and I think I need to learn to do this even when there are temptations around otherwise I will be fat forever.0 -
