Annie, your dedication to riding the bike is commendable! Great job! I eat about 40-50 grams of sugar a day still, but it's less than what I was eating before May. My joints are less achy yes. My complexion less blotchy or acne prone. Its interesting to not have food noise to want me to eat sugary things. I compare it to driving a car, but I can't read the dash, know if I need gas or oil, so I just stop now and then at a gas station to put $5 worth in. That's kind of how I eat. Gone on any sort of big meals, and that's ok.

Rori, you're such a wonderful mermaid! That's great you found a stereo system that works for you while you swim! I miss swimming at the pools at our old resort. On really hot days (112 or higher), we just went from the kids pool, to the hotels pool, to the main resort pool. When the sun went down we would go to the conversation pool (a long hot tub like thing with ledges on both sides to sit, and it curved around the circular traditional hot tub). All the while drinking lots of water, (some drinky-poos) and getting loads of exercise. Sometimes playing tennis, or walking around the lake, all with flip flops, boatloads of sunscreen and earrings. Days were water, life was water!

Annie: Great job on the bike riding.
    Lisa: 🥰 the Afghan.

We did our usual early grocery shop for the week this morning, which means that I have lots of lovely fresh options to eat. I had popped up a couple of lbs lately, so am redressing the issue by being more diligent in my portion sizes and choices. It is what it is!

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

    Hi there!

I had a good meeting and picked up some food on the way home. The morning was cool and damp, but it got hotter later.

Nothing on the TV at the moment because of Wimbledon and the women's World Cup. Neither of which I have any interest in. Only thing I want to watch tonight is Born Without Trace, about tracing foundling parents through DNA.

I think sport should be on a separate channel, not edging out all my favourite programmes. Grrrr!

Just before i set off for my meeting this afternoon, John left for the cricket. He had just got there and sat down when he realised he hadn't turned off the saucepan full of apricots he was cooking. I was on the bus already and didn't hear the phone. So he grabbed a taxi home to find the apricots well cooked, but perfectly edible! We had some this evening. 😁

On Sunday he forgot to put the rubbish out in the street. When he heard the bin lorry coming on Monday, he had to rush out in his dressing gown with a face full of shaving foam!

I'm hoping that this isn't the beginning of a trend, but just absent mindedness. I have been known to leave the gas ring on. Thoroughly charred some leeks not so long ago.

I find, with retirement, it's sometimes confusing as to which day it is, especially if something is done on a different day from usual. Sometimes, even if I know what day it is, it feels like a different day of the week. For example, Bea pick up is Tuesday, so, if it is changed to Thursday, it throws us out.

    Heather,

The fact that you notice some of Johns forgetfulness proves that you still got it all together💖👍🏼. We are creatures of habit, and any different thing can bring about a forgetful task. Lee has what he calls "his brain" a daily planner, in front of his computer. I have a calendar and he's got a calendar downstairs here. Every night before he takes his nighttime dose of meds, he crosses off the day. That's the only way we know what day it is really! Other than the garbage going out on Wednesday, the shopping and my injection on Thursday, and Sunday is biscuits & gravy breakfast for husband, we'd be lost!

    Hugs!

I am sitting, writing letters to my pen pals, in pants that are a 1X (size 18) so I'm happy about that. I have pants that are 3X that are in the donate bin. I need more of these 1X's and will donate the 2X's in a bit. I have finally lost a lb so thinking my stall is over. I had been 232.4 since 6-16. Then for a day I had gone up to 233.4. Now I am at 231.4. So 17.2 lbs gone. So, glad about that. Slow and steady! Still averaging 1100-1200 calories a day. Tracking my protein and my liquid intake. Most days are 80-90 oz a day.

Had to watch this video at BK after work. The store mgr knew it had nothing to do with my job, but she wanted to cover herself and have everyone watch it. Oh….I’m not saying anything to anyone because you never know what the future will bring. But another manager(hourly, but the mother of the asst. mgr.) told me that she’s going to be stepping down and go to nursing school and the asst. mgr will become the store mgr. But like I said, you never know what will happen. But yet, the store manager for a while was sort-of “on edge”. Now lately she seems to be relaxed. The (now) asst mgr seems more relaxed, too. But who knows if this has anything to do with it?

Annie – great way to look at a water lily (reminds of the beauty even in mud). Yea for riding that bike

Rori – good job getting the music in the pool

Tracey – good way to have a colorful salad...lol Thanks for the smile

barbie – I, too, have a box in my closet for items to be donated. So many “trinkets” go in there. And you know my philosophy on gardening...”if God means for it to live, it’ll live”

Lisa – beautiful quilt. I like all the different colors

Went to Spectrum and transferred our phones and tablets. Unfortunately, our tablets weren’t compatible with Spectrum so we had to purchase new ones. Came home, had dinner, then went for a walk around the block

Tina – congrats on the win, even if you won’t be able to use it

Annie – you are on a roll. Exercise also helps greatly to relieve stress, and you are under a lot of stress

pip – love the pic and frame for Yogi.

Flea – doing a real happy dance for you
