Carol It is a Maytag my old dryer was a 20 year old Kenmore. My old washer was a 40 year old Maytag and new washer is a Speed Queen. The quality of the metal in the new washer is similar to what I had. The new dryer not so much. The washer did cost quite a bit more than the dryer.

Lanette - Thanks for checking on me. We are safe and flood free. We have gotten about 5โ of rain at our house over the last 36 hours. There are devastating floods about an hour from us.

Machka - I like the 2L bottle metaphor. It makes sense.
Youโre doing a great job.Annie - According to my map, I am approximately 4 hours from Cold Lake.We do see the CF-18โs as they take off when theyโve been in the area where I am occasionally, they shake the whole house.
The grands and I went to an air show a couple of years ago. The Snowbirds put on a demonstration. I would love to see them again.
I have been to Montreal and Quebec and lived in Scarborough one of the suburbs of Toronto. Vancouver I have visited a few times as well.
Could you buy a very small ice cream cake for your dad to enjoy over a couple of days.Lisa - Michaela does have a room lighting smile. I love having her visit.
Thank you - the owl wind chime was more difficult to put together than I expected, but Iโm happy with it now. The bonus is Iโll be able to see my nephew open it! I rarely get to see him open a gift.
I hope you had no side effects to the new dosage.Itโs good to check dosages no matter who gives them in my book.
Beautiful Afghan.
I can understand Kelseyโs guilt. Iโm sure Corey will just have to keep telling her itโs ok.Barbie - it sounds like the visit with your daughter is good for both of your souls. So happy you were able to be chauffeured for a change.
Lanette - Iโm with you on the plants. Although I was thinking I should buy some plant food to try to save a couple of mine. They may be too far gone already.
I do have to say Iโm proud that my bleeding hearts survived me trying to break them apart to have two instead of one. They are blooming.I am so blessed to have my Grands handy. I donโt talk about Jonah as much right now because he is a teenage boy that comes out every week to mow our lawn. I see him when he comes out for food, or to tell me he loves me, both are frequent.
He is officially taller than me! Probably 1/2โ - it made me sad, we measured around Motherโs Day and he was still 1/2โ shorter. He will be 14 on our birthday.
I didnโt realize you were in Olympia!!! Itโs one of my dream trips. I read a book by Nora Roberts that was set in the Olympia National Park and have wanted to visit since.Tina - what type of music is it that you wont like?
Barbara - Sorry to cause such a mess๐คญ
What is open dance? Is it just not a formal class?Heather - I am irritated at tv lately too. We pay so much and there just doesnโt seem to be anything interesting on. Sorry John missed his Cricket, but good that he got home in time.
Flea - What wonderful news!
Ginny - what a run around! How many more days do you have before your last day?
Lanette - I donโt know think thereโs anything that could convince me I had fun at the dentist. ๐ณ

Lisa - I hope today was a much better day for you. It sounds like a win that your body gave you time.
Carla - Iโm sorry for your loss.
Rebecca - Leigh is thoughtful and sweet.
Rita - I thought the new recommendation was that a dog goes through heat once before spaying. I know thatโs what the vet recommended for our Grand-dog.
Beth - Your the second person in two days that have mentioned seeing a firefly. I miss them so.

KJ - so good to see you drop in.
Sounds like a war zone outside. Has for the last half hour and probably will for another 20-30 minutes. Waiting to take the dog out until it quiets down. So far all critters are doing OK. Horses are a little jumpy and goats are hiding in their shed.

Annie think youโre right about the vicious cycle of anxiety/forgetfulness/anxiety. ((hugs)) Hooray for Murphyโs Oil Soap!

Carla โ"Mrs Coop! What are you doing?!?" "Just my chair exercises, kiddos!โ LOL! ((hugs held extra extra extra long) for the loss of your beloved Sherri. She looked like someone Iโd love too.
Heather that movie โI know where Iโm goingโ sounded familiar so when I read the Wikipedia synopsis I realized I had seen, and loved it. Thanks for the memory.
Michele I am so jealous of your good corn guy. Was v. disappointed in the corn I got today at Grocery Outlet, almost half empty or shriveled rows.
Lisa I so admire your ability to be grateful to your body for giving you time. Love the meditating dog ;)
Lanette that cat video was hilarious!
Tracey youโre right. Open dance is no teacher, no instruction. One of the gals has a Spotify playlist and we just dance one song after another. Itโs quite a workout!
Uh oh, just heard the fire whistle. Really hope itโs minor. There have been quite a few booms from fireworks tonight but the dogs calmed almost immediately. Yesterday a preliminary BOOM shook the house. Living in the woods, in fire season, I much prefer watching fireworks on TV.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

Good morning my friends!
Lisa glad you were okay leaving the house. A step back, but hope things will get calmer.
Heather Yay for getting the washer fixed. Mine could do with a cleaning. Maybe when my sister is here.
Margaret thanks for the water lily!
Rita Yay for DH quitting drinking! The transition may be tough, but so many benefits!
KJ hello! Missed you!
Beth happy birthday! Yay for the new mattress!
Michele Yay for walking hills!
Okie so glad you are safe. I keep thinking you are in Oklahoma though you clearly say Texas.
Lanette those are some tricky cats! It gave me a smile.
Tracey I am irritated at the TV too. I gave up on news before. Lately the sitcoms seem to be about being mean to each other. Nope.โฆWhen I went to Cold Lake, there was a big mall by the Airport. I think that must have been Edmonton!
Our house has lots of Dad's projects to undo before we sell it. He did great work on the wood trim, but it needs a little scrubbing. And the walls need paint. And the hand railings need to come down. And the carpet replaced. But the roof is new and the windows were replaced. The kitchen cabinet handles have dirt spots. Not too shabby overall. Just stuff everywhere. I have sixteen books on my chair here and more in the other room and more upstairs. Marie Kondo just had a heart attack!
May you all have a wonderful day! May you be happy, healthy, safe and free!

School holidays is on, so my next set of swimming lessons don't start again until July 22 or so. Meanwhile, I'm taking opportunities to practice.

๐ฑ We got through the fireworks with the help of music played on the phone for about two hours. The biggest noises were from the city sponsored fireworks display only a few miles away.
๐ I am fortunate that my TV choices are streaming from Amazon Prime, Brit box, PBS Masterpiece, and Acorn. I have found so many quirky characters and series that appeal to me. Getting rid of cable and network TV was a good choice that Jake and I made a few years ago. I am able to watch Jeopardy and highlights of the Seattle Mariners games on You Tube.
๐ Tracey, I live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. I can see the Olympic Mountains when I walk in my neighbourhood.
๐ Terri, I enjoyed your poem.
๐ Barbara, my Friday dance session with my friend is like the open dance you described. We dance the same dances every week. No instruction needed so we just dance. Even better is that we dance only to music we both like. When I think of going back to teaching I realize that I'd have to teach the dances and teach dances I don't like in order to please students.
๐ My sweet dog, Annie, has 14 orange balls that are nearly indestructible but that didn't keep her from finding a dryer ball mixed in with the clean laundry and ripping it to shredsโ-I looked up and suddenly there was black fuzz all over the carpet.
๐ I have had my low moments when I think I'd like to living a small apartment with lots of services and then I remember that in order to do that, I'd still have to finish sorting through all the remaining stuff in the house. That's when I realize how grateful I am that I don't have a daughter that insisted that I move closer to her. Several of my neighbours have been pressured like that and it was horrible for them to have to downsize in a short time.
๐ Someone told me that no trip is complete until I you figure out what you forgot to pack. I asked daughter if she had everything and she was sure she had checked everything. Later I found Jake's hat rack, one sock, two sticks of butter, and a bottle of ranch dressing.

Happy Birthday, Beth!
Annie - Apparently, even Marie Kondo has quit being quite so twitchy about having mess in the house. That would be due to having a couple of kids! ๐ The world does tend to intrude on all our younger ideas of what life is supposed to be like, I think.
Lanette - No, my sister is due north, but nearly 400 miles away, in southwest Oklahoma, in the area where the Texas Panhandle meets the Red River border of Texas that runs all the way east to Louisiana. The Guadalupe River is notorious for flooding, and there are dozens of church camps near its banks, all across the Hill Country. My family does have roots in that region - my grandfather owned and ran an RV park in Ingram, Texas, right on the river, in the 1990s. The news coming out of there right now is awfully grim, and worse, of course, because dozens of children are missing still.
Last night felt like sleeping in a warzone, not least because Egg was losing HER mind because Patrick was here. We don't usually let her in the bedroom, but she was soooo twitchy, we left the door cracked for her. So she came in and did her Snoopy impression and loomed over me from the bedpost for awhile.
Then she came down on the bed and patted me on the lips with her paw. I cannot even describe that feeling with any justice when it wakes you up from a deep sleep. Then she breathed in my ear for a while, and then she laid on me and purred loudly until she got a terrible itch and had to scratch it, when I finally gave up and pitched her out the bedroom door and told her I hoped that Patrick ate her for breakfast.
I didn't mean it. Really.
Butโฆ life is back to normal. Egg's outside bothering the birdies, giving them something to squawk about and stalking the gopher, who's bigger than she is! Patrick has gone to work to get some things done and get in a little overtime.
Corey finally emerged about 7:30, never even heard Patrick start the motorcycle to leave. He's ensconced with a cup of coffee and his laptop (Corey, not Patrick! ๐) and I'll be nice and take him his second cup in a minute.
Hope the news gets better coming out of central Texas. ๐ So many parents terrified right now.
Later, y'all,
Love,

Terri - Loved the poem - especially "our 40 shades of green." Was just talking to my DBIL about it yesterday, that Arkansas is the closest I've ever seen to the green land that I knew when I lived in England. Ireland is even greener from all accountsโฆ Good memory for me, thank you!

I tried to share the firework video I made of the fireworks up the street. I could share on Facebook but wouldn't allow me to share here because it was not in the right format. DrewB handles them well. I just go up there for about 10 minutes enough for me.

So you're an Independence Baby, Beth!!! Well Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed it yesterday! Glad you had a beautiful day over there.
It was MISERABLE here. I was inside most of the day. HEAT and HUMIDITY. In the 90s, but felt like 100+. I can't take that. Poor Harley was driven nutz by the fireworks, which started about noon (yeah, not kidding) and went until about 2am... grrrrr, some "children" do not know when to quit. I'm sure there was alcohol involved. He's not afraid of them. They PISS him off! He BARKS incessantly!!! We've tried everything, including CBD, but nothing works except ultimately putting him in his kennel, in our room, with music on quite loud, lights low, under a blanket. (and he still lets out a little yelp once in a while) smh.... does the same during thunder storms, but not so bad. So, probably our circumstances for the rest of the weekend. (and month, knowing our neighbors) ๐
At least we had rain last night and a break in the temps today. The week ahead looks nicer too.
Love and Blessings

Happy Birthday Beth!
Lanette, how about a huge class A camper so we have a bathroom? And food available, and a fridge for whatever! LOL BTW how do your girls handle loud noises such as firecrackers and thunderstorms?
Tracey, I think it depends where you live. In TN, they did it when you wanted it. In CT I had Wicket spayed at 6 months. She had not had a heat. Maybe you grand dog had the same issue as my Lucy?
Terri, loved the poem!
I have to work today and tomorrow too. Yesterday the Ranger supervisor asked me to work 3 days a week in the Visitor Center for 3 hours (10-1) M-W-F I told him ok. When I told DH, he told me if I do that, I shouldn't work the weekend in the pay booth. I will see how the coming week goes and if I can do it without getting over tired. I'll have to adjust I suspect. We will see what the future couple of weeks bring! The booth is only until Labor Day.
Thought for today?
Watch what you say around the egg whites. They can't take a yolk.

๐ Lisa, Thanks for the article about Marie Kondo. I've long believed that at the base of tidying and clutter clearing, and minimalism, is sorting out your values. Then you can sort, clear, and minimalize so you're left with the things that fit your values or "spark joy" or whatever you want to call it. Same goes for shopping.
๐ฑ Cats, whenever our beloved Bernie, the Maine Coon cat, acted in any annoying way, Jake would ask him what he thought about cat tacos.

Tracey-The music was metal core. There is a โCookie Monsterโ voice along with usually a nice, melodic voice. Most of it is too hard and loud for me. But the people watching was unmatched.
To those of you in the UK, can I buy over the counter diclofenac/Voltaren gel there?
Canโt recall who asked, but Iโll heading to Ireland next week to meet my niece. Sheโs already in the London area for a study abroad program.
Made it through the 4th without the canyon catching on fire. I could do without my tax dollars paying for giant fireworks displays though.

Tina - you can certainly buy Voltaren gel in England, but Ireland is part of the EU. If it's Northern Ireland, then that is UK. Google if it is available.
I am now at the kids house, tired but with a sense of accomplishment. Bea's performance was really excellent, and the day should have been fun, but it was held outside, and it was raining and chilly. Edie and I were not amused! Loved seeing her so happy to perform. Photos on my phone.
Our economical pizza plan did not go well, as the local shops had sold out of decent pizzas. John and Max came back with something, but in the end we scrapped those and went all out at Pizzzface. Max was delighted! They do gluten free for the girls. Then we caught a bus back. Max decided to run home, because he was feeling a hit of extra energy. It's just over a mile.
Everyone is watching the women's World Cup. England v France. Girls will be up late! I may go into the front room.
For those with Britbox etc, have you ever watched 'Rev'? They are rerunning it - 2010. It was one of my favourites. Early Olivia Coleman! They are also rerunning Joan Hickson's Marple. Many people, including my elder son, think she was the best Marple. I have often wondered why they hadn't rerun them. Now they are. Tonight is three episodes of The Body in the Library.
I will put some photos on from my phone.

Rita - yes, Class C camper sounds even better. Bathroom, kitchen, sleeping quarters. Room for a dog or two. Maybe chickens, lol. ๐ Hope your DH is doing better.
Terri - I love that poem! Thank you for sharing it.
Barbie - my next door neighbor's daughter keeps insisting he sell everything and go move next to her. She lives in Bremerton. John says NO WAY. He has managed to do a lot of cleanout and decluttering in the past few years. So if he changes his mind, he'll be ready to move. He's 92.
Heather - thank you for posting those photos. Glad Bea enjoyed herself even with the crowd under umbrella's. Neat picture of you and Edie. Thank you also for the Britbox suggestions. I put them on the list.
Pip ((((HUGS))) did you say where Yogi's final resting place will be? I have the remains of three dogs and a cat in little boxes or urns. If DH would have had a funeral with a casket, I could have put them all in with him.
Carla - sorry to hear about all of the noise in your neighborhood yesterday. For some reason "they" laid off the all-day banging yesterday in my neighborhood, but last night they really let loose. Rosie had high anxiety and the CBD I gave her did not help much, maybe I should have doubled the dose. I finally spent most of the night on the recliner with her in my lap under a pillow. Grateful she's only a 14# Schnauzer and not a St. Bernard.
Rebecca - a few days ago you pointed out how many grams of sugar you were getting. I've come to the conclusion that "sugar" which comes from natural foods that have protein and/or fiber don't count in this category although most "diet plans" don't agree and they say sugar is sugar. The eating plan I try to follow is for diabetes, developed by Dr. Unwin in the UK. Eating berries, apples, pears is OK because of their high fiber content which slows down blood sugar release. They are high in sugar. Dairy which has milk sugar (lactose) has protein, also counts as "sugar". So for me, I think of "sugar" as added sugars like table sugar. Maybe concentrated sugar like dates and prunes tho they are high in fiber. I rarely eat honey or maple syrup, they might be destined for the "sugar" column too.
Anyway, I wish the MFP food log differentiated between general sugar and added sugar.
Discount Pharmacy - Prices look better than Good RX on some of the meds I checked out.

Suitcase Carry - With my back getting better, I've started carrying heavier weights again - several YouTube physical therapists recommended the suitcase carry - just carrying a heavy weight in one hand, correcting posture because it forces the back muscles to get stronger. No need to carry them far or even for long. Something like 10 or 20 steps to start to prevent injury.
10# is now pretty easy for me. I went online to find heavier dumbbells, but I'd like to handle them first to see how they'd feel in my hands. One of these days I'll stop in at Big 5 or the gym and see where they get theirs. In the meantime I put water in plastic kitty litter containers - one 13#, one 15#. They have comfortable handles. I'm storing them in the master bath shower which I don't use in case they decide to spring a leak.๐

I haven't really adjusted my sugar intake on here, by going into the goals area and manipulating the numbers. On average I get 30-40 grams. Which is mostly from the coffee I drink (creamer and Truvia sweetener), then from the tea I drink in afternoon (with honey). I bought a couple small containers of berries, plus a box of individual pink grapefruit containers with low syrup. I need to incorporate those in my morning routine. Oh,v also have my 3 prunes every morning. Its interesting to be so regimented. I have been logging continuously since May 15th, so its just my life now. I have never stuck with something so long...Ever.
