Lisa - The cushion cover is great. I can see that fitting in to a lot of different decor styles. Are you going to put it in your online shop?

I woke up this morning, ready for a change. I'm feeling the call of my new book, and I want to do more painting. I've had enough R&R now. The sap is rising! 😀

Plus, I would like to drop half a stone before the cruise. Doable, I think. I did my half hour of exercises, but I need to get more active in general. A small start is getting out this afternoon with John, on a date.😊

I woke up this morning feeling frustrated with myself, and then realised that was a good thing - the first sign of change. I've been in a chrysalis stage for a while. We have to pay the balance on the cruise next week. Maybe that's getting some shift going. I always had faith that this chrysalis stage wouldn't last forever, and I feel that I'm now moving in to the hatching season.

The sun is shining straight into my bedroom. I love my new bedroom, it brings me such peace.

Listening to my co-workers, I think they have a melodic accent. Californians don't have an accent. My DH said that when I am talking to my bestie, we have a Torrance, CA accent. Some people say I have a mixture of a Chicago and Californian accent.

Mo — everyone has an accent. 😊

We just have trouble hearing the accents we've become used to.

I don't hear most Australian accents or most Canadian accents. I know they are quite different, but to me, they sound the same … just normal.

Oddly (to me), many Australians mistake my 'Canadian accent tinged with Australian' as Irish!! Apparently I have a lilt.

Lisa: I had noticed that you hadn’t posted in a while, but assumed that you were otherwise occupied with all the outdoorsy activities.

I have been writing most mornings this month. It’s very relaxing and therapeutic.

Already put laundry away this morning and did some strength, flex and cardio.

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Lanette ~ I am sure T's FnL is a great concern for her with so many health/mental problems at age 92.

Annie ~ Hoping that rowing machine will be easier for you than you seem to expect.

Accents: Every time I hear myself speak on the answering machine I cringe. My voice sounds whiney and nasally. Ugh! 😣

Lanette I have taken Quercetin for two nights now. I was having trouble with leg cramping early in the morning 3-5 and planter factitious in my right heel where it that disturbed my sleep. I was becoming crabby during the day. All the projects was also effecting my nerves.

First night less cramping and foot did better. Second night bed by 11 up at six with minor cramping and foot feels much better. I have been wearing a type of boot for planter factitious too. Trying to due more calf stretching too. It is part of my root cause for my foot problem.

I looked up side effects and it does say be careful if you have kidney issues. I am only taking a small amount and if it helps me get better sleep I figure that is a big win for my kidneys. I also did not have to get up for two nights in a row for a bathroom trip.

Quercetin iis a a natural anti-inflammatory found in plants. I am just trying an extra dose to see if it helps with the root cause of my problems.

I will say regardless of what you are taking to look up pros and cons of whatever it is. Learn if it can be taken with medicine or supplements you are already taking. Even natural supplements Vitamins included can have negative side effects if over done or mixed with other medicines or supplements.

I am not sure how Quertin would interact with the other things you are taking. I do know ibuprofen can have an effect on your gut.

If kidneys are not filtering the toxins out of the blood coupled with dehydration it can cause the behavior you describe your DFIL. Sometimes people become quite toxic when their bodies are not working properly. It doesn't make it any easier, but it helps explain their behavior. Best to do something very positive for yourself after having to help someone in that state.

Night noise ... I wear earplugs and an eye mask when I sleep to cut both noise and light.

I can sleep with white noise like a fan, but not much more than that.

Anti-inflamatories ... although my feet (and sometimes other parts, like my hips) ache when I am trying to sleep, I won't take anti-inflamatories unless the pain is keeping me awake. I won't take them during the day either unless my arthritic joints are screaming in pain. It has to be pretty bad before I take anything.

I usually try to do other things to ease the pain.

Awe, I'm sure you sound fine! I sound like I am 12, though I do try to lower my tone so I can at least be taken seriously in this world! I will send you an audio howdeedo on Messenger.🤗😁💖👍🏼

😱 Annie, sorry to hear about the rower. My bike turned out to be less than I wanted but I made it work for me and now I can't live without it. I don't worry about apps or statistics. I just keep track of time that I'm on it. And while I use it, I watch tv or listen to a podcast or an audiobook. Now that I'm alone, I don't need to use headphones but when I didn't live alone I used headphones and I enjoyed the exercise plus diversion. Best wishes as you navigate this new challenge.

thank you!!! I will try doing that- I think I will take the breast off and roast the rest like you do(legs and wings-not sure if there is any meat on duck wings-
I do know to render out the fat in the breasts- just need to double check a few videos on that one.

dh and my mom both tend to keep the volumn up on the tv.mom has hearing aids but still keeps it turned almost all the way up. Dh keeps it loud but not as loud BUT, the shows he watches, I do NOT want to hear, especially things like The Walking Dead- I don't like all that screaming, etc. That is one show I will not allow on in the living room or bedroom if I am in that room. Another of his favorites is Supernatural.
He goes in extremes- Watches those, all the Star Trek shows AND the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.

I mainly watch HGTV and FoodNetwork, some National Geographic type. I do watch Survivor and Big Brother when they are one. (have only missed one episode out of 48 seasons of Survivor-back before dvr's and it was the season finale)

    Mo, thought of you and Vicki and all our health care professionals today when an ambulance went by. Always say a prayer for the patient, caregivers and family. Today added you to the list. Even earth angels need prayers ;}

    Veronica conVERY grats on the couple pounds gone. Night time snacks are one of my (many) challenges ;}

Rita can’t open the blob links, changes url to “unsafe:blob…

Kylia “still nicotine free” Tremendous accomplishment. You GO Gal.

Sue hooray for looser jeans, and for not being ready for the O route yet.

Lanette envy your good posture, I slump even when carrying nothing. “Art Bell,” oh does that bring back memories! Pain relief, imho nothing beats aspirin. Know it’s hard on some folks’ stomachs, but ibuprofen is hard on the liver and Tylenol is VERY hard on the kidneys. For me it’s aspirin mostly and ibuprofen when things are really bad.

Flea yours to Debbie. Truth. Thanks for the Nick Martin PG Wodehouse YouTube suggestion. Love the Harley pic.

Debbie and all you farm gals, I so admire you. This 4th generation wimpy city gal just couldn’t butcher chickens…

Lisa that granny square pillow is inspired!

Heather thanks for the crispy duck recipe, wondered every time you mentioned it. Yum!

Annie “… can’t punish a dog to make him come” So very true. I think Joe is getting it, he’s tried hard to be kind to Mooch and as a result is less frustrated with him . . . Would your Dad wear TV headphones?

Carol there’s no way you could sound like anything but a honey sweet Georgia peach.

Margaret what you said about researching supplements and prescriptions. Combinations can have unintended consequences.

Only part way through pg 10 but it’s time to scoot to line dancing, I hope.

    Action for happiness

    1-check out chair yoga
    2-can’t eliminate sugar yet, but can reduce by substituting smokehouse almonds for the dark chocolate covered ones I ate yesterday ;}
3-ask for help let T drive to lunch
4-looking forward to Highland Games in August with goddaughter
5-basics, substitute iced tea for Coca Cola. 10 mins BB&B/PT, go to bed on time.
6-pause, breathe, feel your feet firmly on the ground…
    7-mood shift: line dance class
8-wanted (not must or should) to do morning exercise to keep trend growing.

    Later, lighter, lovelies!

July focus: Just one thing from the OMG room. Really.
2025: Chose NOW: to move more than yesterday (see action plan), fuel better than yesterday (hold that after dinner sweet down to two pieces of dark chocolate max), open heart and mind before mouth
