Hour commitment - I won't eat again until after 5 pm. None of the same foods at dinner as at lunch. Can still have my dose of metamusal.

    JFT Sunday

Lets see, I did sleep in Sunday morning which was lovely. Then I did manage to get a number of things accomplished Sunday as well, including getting my mom a few shirts ordered online.

The guest room is ready to go , and much to the cats dislike, they are locked out since my sister is allergic . I even have an air filter machine ready to go for her.

I did finish getting the pool set up with the pump running and it is full of water, just in time for high winds and threat of rain beginning Monday night. We have had so much wind lately which delayed getting the pool up this past week.

I did not get my meal planning done as I hoped , nor did I get the fridge wiped down (and it really needs it) but I have ground turkey ready to cook Monday and plenty of salad fixings, along with a few other veggies. Had ice cream again tonight .. I really need to reach for something else.

    JFT Monday

Ground Turkey and veggies for dinner

    Turkey sandwhich for Lunch

Protein shake and Oikos Pro 20 Yogurt for Breakfast/mid morning snack

No chips, no ice cream, no cookies today

    Lots of lemon water

    Walking/weight session tonight

need to run in to do some banking at lunch

Get to see my baby brother as he flies in today, its been two years since I have seen him

    Get in the pool !

We are expecting high winds tonight about 6 pm potentially damaging with a big cool down, so hopefully no trees will come down. We have had so much wind this year (and last)

Hi there, my JFTers! Apparently my phone is so old I'm having all kinds of trouble with posting updates, and I haven't been spending much time on my computer in recent days.

@angf0679 Beautiful embroidery! I'm sure your "belated" wedding gift will be very much treasured.

@HappyDonkey75 Enjoy time with your sister, brother and parents! As for sleep, might I suggest the Calm app for relaxation. There's all kinds of choices for bedtime to calm racing thoughts. I used the app extensively when I was working, to keep me from losing my mind with certain people. I would sit in my office doing a 10-minute mindfulness break, and it was wonderful. Of course, there are other similar apps, but that's the one I'm familiar with.

JFT 7/14 M ~ Hot & humid today but 3-day air quality alert (from Canadian wildfires) has ended with change in wind direction. I actually woke up 15 min. before early alarm (so unlike me) and dog & I got in a walk before too unbearable. Stuck to neighborhood again, since more shade & can subtract or add cul-de-sacs depending.

    • Walked dog 2.28 mi 😁 happy dog & happy me / OT exercises
    • Pan-fried perch, potato salad & steamed veg for supper / 80 oz. water / limit snacks & sweets / log all food / net calories zero
    • Busy day already, not going to list all my stuff, except to say I finally decluttered the coffee table in the family room. And talked on phone with Dad, who usually always lets Mom answer. ❤️ TA-DA! 😁

WOTY 2025: Judicious ~ I just like the way the word sounds, and the meaning is right for me: having or showing reason and good judgement in making decisions. I can apply this word in so many ways!

interview went well, it was long, but the people were really nice.

Unfortunately, I just realized I forgot I was supposed to teach spin tonight. I totally let a friend down. I feel awful.

Also got my initial sleep study back. I do not have sleep apnea, but I’ll need to do more testing.

Today I will walk at least three times after a meal or snack for 10 times around the house. This should get me more motivated.

I like this idea cschmitz. Thanks for putting it up here.

Shot pool in a tournament Friday evening. Played well, not well enough to win, but better than I have in the past. It is a late night though it goes from about 9:00pm to after midnight.

Saturday: Soooo taking mom to the senior center for the carnival was a total bust. She went but she was rude and bitter. We left after being there a max of 5 minutes. It was embarrassing and hurtful. Went home and crashed for a bit and cried. Then pulled myself together and met friends at a new restaurant in town for dinner. It was sooo good, but crazy expensive. I ordered the seafood tower which was enough food for 4 people, and the lobster mac & cheese. Tim had a fantastic fried goat cheese salad and a ribeye (he wasn't impressed by his steak). Our friends ordered Wagyu Steak and a lobster tail and a salmon dish. Plus cocktails. The waiter was excellent, he got a pretty hefty tip. After dinner we when across the road to the "Speakeasy" it is in the basement of a fancy hotel and had live piano & clarinet music that night. It was a nice way to finish the evening.

Sunday: Skipped church, then got ready and met a friend to get pedicures. That was fun. Decided we may try all the different nail salons in town and finally figure out which is the best. After that we did the parent tour. Went to my moms and took her grocery shopping, then visited with Tim's folks for a bit. Went to dinner with friends and then called it a night.

Monday: Interview day! I had 4 one hour interviews. They use the STAR method S- Situation, T-Tasks, A-Actions, R-Results. The questions are always tough, but I answered most pretty well. There were a few that I just didn't have a situation that aligned with the question. That said, they sent me home with a copy of their benefits package to review. I don't believe I've ever been given one of those prior to hire. I still feel I'm the top runner for the job, but they are hesitant to pay what I'm asking. After my first set of interviews, they reposted the job on linked in with a salary range about 15k below my asking value and 5K lower than my current salary. We'll see. I can't take a pay cut, but would I take it if the pay is the same? Not sure. Anyway, I came home and took a nap. Also got my sleep study results back, but it was only to rule out apnea. Next step is inpatient sleep observation/testing. Totally forgot I was supposed to teach spin class at 6:00pm. Apologized to the instructor, but not much else I could do.

Today: Back to work. Playing catch up. After work may or may not go to Music Bingo. Really kind of worn out, but if I stay home and go to bed at like 8:00pm I feel guilty.
