Coffee Lovers..Any Luck on this one?

Have any of you had any luck in finding a substitute for milk or cream in your coffee that you like. That doesn't fee like a sacrifice?

I have gotten to a point..where paring down little extras could make the difference between losing and maintaining. I think it is my milk in my coffee addiction could be tripping me up.

I've tried to drink it black.. I just can't. Almond milk doesn't 't do it.. or maybe it is the brand I've purchased. Any ideas would be appreciated.. thank you.

    I'm happy with lots of hot nonfat milk. If I'm extra fancy, I froth the milk for the luxurious mouth-feel. Yes, there are calories, but they add a meaningful small bump to my protein goal. (165g milk, 56 calories, 5.7g protein).

    Plus - most important - I enjoy it. YMMV.

    That's a hand frother next to the mug of coffee.

    Ha.. well. maybe I am worried about nothing. for this is what I do.. I use frothed steamed skim milk in my coffee everyday..but have three cups.. two in the a. m.. another in the afternoon. I thought perhaps the 100 or so calories of that could be keeping me from losing.

    What the lady said! 🤣 That said I believe my personal experimentation led to unsweetened vanilla cashew "milk" as my preferred balance of taste and calories. But in my books it did not provide meaningful nutrition by contrast to milk and was relatively high in sodium. Eventually I simplified my life and weaned to black though I do occasionally pull a frothy similar to Ann's. (Then I went bonkers and tried to make the black so black that a spoon can't sink!🤔 Didn't ever get there and I'm now heading in the opposite direction 😹

    I just work into my calorie count one teaspoon sugar and three tablespoons half and half

    Those are great finds from your experience. Good stuff. What I did this afternoon.. I used lite coconut milk with Allulouse sweetener ..( which is amazing better than Splenda by far).. in my afternoon coffee.. and it was full bodied and satisfying .. and I can pare down the calories by far and have satisfaction. I'm gong to use some of your other tips in my diet. .. Thank you.
