Why are you getting Sean's clothes? Did something happen? (I know he got hit while on his bike, but I thought he was mostly fine.)

Barbie — Good for you for going to the BBQ and having a hot dog. It sounds like fun.

I hope everyone's evening is going well. Much love to all.

I bought some lovely asters from the flower shop. They were one of my grandmother's favourite flowers. These are British grown (unusual) and very natural looking. It brought back memories of my grandmother and her garden. She used to teach me all the names of the flowers.

Drizzly out. I made it home before the rain. John did the veg shop and got a bit damp.

G has booked to go to Marrakesh at the end of August. She was tempted because it was very cheap, for flights and a 5 star hotel. I pointed out that it would be extremely hot! Fortunately, she is happy to just relax, be pampered, fed, and go in the swimming pool. :-)

After surviving the two storms we now have five days of unhealthy air from the wildfires. I bought extra N95 masks when it hit the last time.

I wore my mask at the outdoor concert I went with with my son. Loved the music it was music from Peru, Columbia, Bolivia, and Ecuador. I was one of the few who wore a N95 mask. We did not take DrewB because I didn't want her out in that air.

I continue to run my air purifier at night. It is a small one made for the size of my bedroom. I also put a smog filter on my son's furnace/AC unit. We have hot water heat so no vents. I am keeping house closed with minimal in and out. I am going to start looking into ones for other areas of my home.

Thunder, lightning, and pouring rain. First time in months! Spectacular!

Lisa - So sorry about the vertigo. I'm amazed you can do the Epley manoeuvre by yourself. I always do it for John, and he is screaming and trembling. Then he wears a neck support for the rest of the day. It definitely works though.

Got an email back from my ex. He doesn't remember which bands we had for the street parties in the 70s. But he is having dialysis 3 times a week, has a bone on bone knee they can't operate on because of a hidden infection, and now has really bad cataracts and can hardly read at all. He is waiting for a NHS appointment, but I told him to just get it done privately. And quickly! I had principles over my hips, but screaming pain soon gets you over your scruples. Everyone I know has had their cataracts done privately. B is having her second eye done next Monday. I feel very sorry for him. He is younger than John. The family are going up to Scotland to see him for the last week of August. They stay in an AirB&B petting farm nearby. I would love to visit, but I'm not sure his wife would be thrilled.

Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Lanette ~ All I found out from visiting the dr was that I will be getting an MRI. I have never had one so this will be an experience. A part of my mind keeps asking: Is it my hip or is it my back?

Michele ~ You have been given good advice regarding J & C and eating. I know you will end up doing what works best for you all. You have been very good about being there for them whenever they need yourhelp.

Lisa ~ WOW! I like your fake hanging baskets. They really look pretty with your front porch.

MO ~ Sorry Rosie got sick. My DH fed our Pom off his plate and the Pom got to the point that that was all he would eat. It was not good for him at all so I hope you can get Rosie to start eating her kibble.
