So I have to ask... maybe some of you have ideas;

I've been doing the same old thing... 1200 Calories, working out extra. But lately my usual routine of eating every 2- 3 hrs hasn't worked... instead of having breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack... I've been soo hungry that is more like: breafast/1/2 hr snack, usual snack time snack, lunch/snack, usual time snack, dinner, snack. Then last night even doing this (upped my calories to losing only. 6 lbs a week) I went to bed early because I was so hungry.

The only things different are: I started eating a yoplait light ff yogurt for breakfast and I I've been working out the same total amount of time but more spread out. (instead of weekend workout marathons with the occasional mid week workout- I've been doing 30 Day Shred 20 minutes work outs 4 times a week.)

??? Any ideas. I just cant seem to stay in calorie range even with the added exercise calories and I used to be able to do that no problem and have some to spare if I felt like it.

    Try drinking more water, it makes you feel fuller, or preoccupy yourself with something distracting
    so your not thinking about eating. Or try eating foods that are healthy but make you feel fuller. =):happy:

    Seriously! This has me worried! I'm so close to my goal... and it is so hard to do what I used to do to get there that I'm afraid I might just have to go to maintenance or slip into my old ways ... before i get there.

    HELP :frown:
  • You are probably getting in too many atrificial sweetners, simple processed carbs and sugars. Yoplait is loaded with articial sweetners that your body is recognizing as sugar and therefore releasing insulin giving you a feeling of increased hunger. Try more protein and less carbs- you will maintain more muscle and be more satisfied at meals. Again beware artificial sweetners they can throw a monkey wrench in weight loss! Splenda and stevia are best for sugar substitutes. I hope this helps, and congrats on all your hard work! I can't wait to get it done myself!

    being that you're so close to your goal weight, you shouldn't be eat just 1200 net cals a day. Think about it, your body just doesn't have those fat reserves to sustain you anymore. You NEED more food. Try lowering your goal to 1/2 lb a week, it works. I'm only at a 400 cal deficit a day and I'm still losing- but I get 1400net cals instead of 1200, which actually makes a huge difference in how I feel.

    Are you getting enough protein? I find that if I add even a little bit more protein with each meal, that I stay more full for longer. And, if you bump up your calories like Kerri suggested (I also bumped mine up a while ago from 1200), it will not throw you over your daily allotment to add it.

    Thanks for all the advice. :flowerforyou:

    I did bump my calories up to lose only .5 lb... I had to because I was eating that anyway. I'm just bumbed that it does just that... I only lost .5 lbs and it will take me so long just to lose the remaining two lbs I want to lose (minimum). Oh well :ohwell: I'm just worried that I will start going the other way... (that is what has happened in the past)... I'm enjoying shopping for and fitting into smaller clothes too much for that. :grumble:
