Get lean and build abs

hello, I am Dia, i am new here, started a few days ago. I have never kept a diet in my life and have never been overweight but i could never build my abs. I struggle and have worked out all my life. I am 45 years old, 55.2 kg and 158 cm tall. Body fat is at 22%. I work intensive 120 min per workout, 3 times a week, Hyrox plus resistance training. I lose around 700-800 calories per workout day. I do not understand anymore how many calories, protein to eat anymore. Since 7 days i have kept my first ever diet, i mean eating JUST lean, nothing processed, no sweets or any snacks, i have kept the diet 100% , but i have gained 200 grams which my goal was to lose 0.5 kg per week. I eat 120g of protein per day, around 70-100 g carbs, 50g fat and i cant see any changes to my body when this is the first time dieting. I wonder what to do more than working so hard at the gym, eating 100% healthy and see nothing. Before, i was eating just bad snacks like shortbread, cookies, bad dinner. Now i was expecting to see a difference. I know it is too soon, to ask for changes, but gaining 200g makes me wonder if i am on the right path. Myfitness gave me a goal first time of 1700 calories per day, which i believe its a lot so i stayed to 1300 per day. I wonder what more could i do to see the belly fat disappear. I would appreciate if someone could help me understand or make changes that i reach my goal. Thank you

Hi Dia, welcome! Honestly, you’re doing great and training hard, eating clean, hitting protein. A 200g gain is nothing, that’s just normal water or food weight, not fat. With your activity level, 1300 might actually be too low, so don’t be afraid of the 1700 goal.Changes at your body fat level take time, so give it a few weeks and track measurements too, not just the scale. You’re on the right way, just stay consistent.

Based on what you wrote, you’ve made some pretty major changes to your diet and kept your physical activity the same. You need to give your body time to adjust to the changes. If you are eating at a deficit, you will lose weight.
You cannot spot reduce belly fat. The weight loss will be a combination of fat and muscle and the body sheds it from wherever the body decides to shed it.
