My word for 2025 is "enough". I don't need to get more or do more, I just need to appreciate what I have.

Pip – absolutely stunning view. I almost always use a gentle leader. Really, the only time I don’t is when I just take him out for a pee break and we’re right back in the house. Now, Jess feeds him before we go on our walk so that it stimulates him to poop. The leash I use is shorter than the others that she has which are the retractable ones. Oh, she does have one other that I’ve probably only used once to just take him for a pee break. It just goes around the neck, doesn’t even have a clip to fasten to the collar. Personally, I don’t like this one. I’ve only used it once, and that’s enough for me. Now that she’s here, I only feed him in the morning on Sundays before I exercise. Guess I could give him leftovers (a leftover hot dog, whatever we have that isn’t real spicy, whatever I want to get rid of). Thanks for the suggestions. After a while wonder if he'll always want a treat?

Rori – I can’t think of anyone I know that would want to go on atrip. The only person I can think who might be interested is Jess, and we’d have such different wants (to do). I’ll have to keep thinking. I just wanted to reach out and bite into one of those peaches, they looked so good

    Barbie – thanks for everything

    MFP Weekly Check-In 9-1-2025

Debbie in Napa Valley CA - scale is still going in the wrong direction. 157.0- haven't been that high in over a year. I was hoping it would be going down after two weeks of extra exercise. Time to really start tracking my food again.

    1550 Calorie Goal

Lost 1 pound from last week. Ended the month with no loss no gain, which is a win in my book!

Barbara on the Southern Oregon Coast -

Week ending:    Aug 31   Aug 24

Avg WT             130.3      131.6    surprisingly down over a pound ?

Avg steps          3872      2413      baby steps better

    AF days            71%        57%      good!

Ps@2s habit solid again …. Still no line dancing, chair yoga, 10 mins step up/knee lifts, shoulder mobility and/or PT, split squats or dynamic balance foo.

Sue in WA - Weight slightly up to 233. DGS is here and starts work tomorrow so hopefully things will begin to settle into a routine again. Chair yoga will begin again next week at my usual Y.

Lanette in SW WA State - Weight s l o w l y trending back down a couple pounds from high a month ago. I think the key for me has been faithfully logging each day. Average daily steps this past week: 8070, due working more outside. Still getting a 15 minute sunrise walk on my private road most days and carrying weights for 10 minutes 2 or 3 times a day walking after meals. SWSY continues to go well 3X per week- I’ve noticed my balance has improved a lot. Very grateful.

My husband is prone to making some interesting creative math entries! I'm like how did you take this number, subtract that number to get THIS?? His excuse is that it was the calculators fault, or that he only does it to "give me something to do"!

Today I got my Amazon find of a mini small ice cube maker. I have it in the freezer right now. I will use if for my iced coffee protein drink that I will start consuming.
