Well, the 5 mg dose injections did give me problems. But the 2.5 mg dose was fine, which I was on in the beginning, for the months of May, and June. No issues, so that's the dosage I am going back to. I do like the positive chemical changes like less food noise, lowers my blood sugar numbers, makes my liver and kidney work more efficiently, and lowers my appetite. I should be fine.

Michele NC,
I know right??? She definitely has many faces! One of the things they did first off was replace the roof. She also got the exterior repainted. The windows especially the long ones have all original glass and trim, so those need to be cared for. You can see bubbles in the glass, and wavy places. The home has had many add ons over the years. I will look for an original photo of the home so you can see what it originally looked like.

Lanette,
Since after my er visit, I have been taking 2 stool softener pills nightly, trying to get in 80-100 oz of liquids a day, and haven't had any constipation issues. Its been quite a relief! I average 60-80 grams of protein a day, instead of 100+.

Checking in. I'm teaching five classes this semester, which is an overload, so it's been a little wild. But I'm managing.
Sorry for the losses. Congratulations on birthdays, anniversaries, and visits with dear loved ones.
Hubby is officially finished with his current employer at the end of October. I am so thankful and see this as a blessing. He is still freaking out about the money situation. We went to a financial consultant last week and gave him all our financial information and he said we are in fantastic shape. Which is what I've been trying to tell hubby. He calmed down for about an hour then started say that the consultant must have made a mistake. Sigh.
Margaret has been on this tune for a long time, but I want to add my voice. Since I've been whole foods/plant based for a couple months now, and the food noise is gone. I have no desire or need to snack. I've lost nearly 10 pounds and feel great. People are noticing and commenting that I look healthier than ever, since my diagnosis. I am fully committed and won't turn back. Food is so delicious!
I need to prepare some quizzes. Love you all.

Michelle … my son was fed up with being overweight and wanted to change the direction of his life.

Well I have gotten past my little hiccup of a loss and a gain of having to go to ER.
Today I pick up new medication.
Husband wishes to go to Taco Bell, so I will figure out what to eat from there.
I need to eat up the leftover cheesy rotini and broccoli meal for dinner. I might cook up some sausage to mix in with it. Planning on protein yogurt with 1/2 pouch of a Kodiak granola protein bar. I need to also have my snack of raw veggies with dressing.
Lots to figure out!

Todays food. My normal go to of a Crunch wrap supreme at Taco Bell was like 1200 sodium and 530 calories. I am getting 2 crunchy taco steak supremes instead. Dinner is two pieces of cod with malt vinegar, and raw veggies. Plus the dressing I like to dip things in.
Lisa- quick healing for your lymphomas that were removed👍🏼💖. Anything with a stitch or two is an ouch!

You were smart not replying to that email. D related her email scam story at breakfast this morning and it's scary.
She got an email from Geek Squad (supposedly) that said she owed $350 for some services, if any questions call this 1-800 number. She called the number to protest the bill and the customer service rep - spoke perfect English, by the way, told her he'd process a credit, what was a good account number? She was on her laptop and pulled up her bank account information.
Well, things turned bad quickly - the rep told her he could see she had a LOT of money in the accounts he now had access to, and if she didn't want him to clean it all out she needed to go to the bank, take her phone, and transfer a chunk of it to him or risk losing it all! Plus she was to follow a script when she met with the rep at the bank, and let him listen in on the conversation to make sure she didn't deviate.
She did as instructed. The bank gal handed her a sheet of paper that identified what was going on with the scammer. She told D to just hang up on the scammer. D did - he called back, cursing, and the gal told D to hand her the phone. The gal listened to his threats for a minute then hung up.
The money was still safe, and the bank was then able to put withdrawal limits on the accounts, and told D to get her laptop to a computer place and get it scrubbed because the scammer had installed some kind of malware. She was able to find a shop which took care of it the following day.
Margaret has great suggestions. It's a shame we have to be suspicious of nearly every unsolicited email and phone call from an unknown caller, but chances are so great it's a scam these days. Delete the emails and don't pick up the phone.
D said she's now getting more scam calls on her cellphone. I told her to answer them "Sheriff's Office, Fraud Division." 😁

Rebecca, before you scare the golly gee whillikers out of people, I have to make sure I say again that my lumps are lipomas, not lymphomas. Lipomas are 99.99% benign, whereas lymphomas are usually not benign. There is no sense that my lipomas will be cancerous or malignant in any way.

Ladies, my breakfast with D turned out fine. The restaurant we chose had breakfast specials that were economical and something I don't cook for myself, so it was a treat. Even though I'd eaten breakfast earlier at home, I still managed to eat most of it. 😁 We will go there again.
Margaret's post earlier today about email scams was timely - D related one she nearly got pulled into this past month and a large amount of money was at stake.
She got an email from a well known national computer fix-it business, that she owed $350 for services rendered. She hadn't used them for anything so called their 1-800 number.
The fellow she spoke with - perfect English - said he could credit the bill, what bank account number did she want the credit to go back into. So she pulled up the accounts on her laptop.
Then his tone changed. He said he could see she had a large amount of money in the accounts (she did - it was her brother's estate she was managing) and if she didn't immediately transfer $100 k to him, he'd take it all. He told her to go to the bank, and read to them the script he provided and keep him on the phone so he could listen in.
She drove to the bank and did as he asked. The gal at the bank saw what was happening and handed her a slip of paper that described the whole scam! She told D to just hang up the phone. D did - the guy called back, furious, and the gal took the phone and told him he was persistent and hung up.
The money was safe. They immediately put very small withdrawal limits on all of the accounts and D was instructed to take her laptop to a computer service business in town and get it scrubbed for malicious software.
So again, the lesson here - just delete these emails as Margaret suggests. D said that had she checked the sender's email, it would have immediately been evident that it was not coming from the national computer fix-it business.
It's a shame that we have to be watchful of all emails and phone calls from numbers/callers we don't recognize. It's safest to presume they are scams. I still want to answer the phone "Sheriff's Office, Fraud Department" one of these days. 😁

Oh man the steak taco Supremes were excellent, and were gutbusters! So full but in a nice way.
I need to get sisters medical box so I can send her my unused 5 mg dose box I won't be using. Both my sister and her daughter are on that dosage. They can try out the injection pen method of delivery.

Whee we got a few spatters of rain! Stream is still trickling, cistern, though low, is holding steady, we just might make it ‘til the rainy season starts in earnest. Permanent crown went well, no pain. Blood draw this morning was a bit of a surprise, usually take two tubes, took SIX! Think Dr. P is getting greedy… ;{ Sciatica came back a bit yesterday, had to get out the cool pack again. Line dancing classes are cancelled all month as our teachers are either traveling or healing. Making the effort to walk a bit every day instead. Hope I can make chair yoga tomorrow for the first time since Aug 7.
Cut Joe’s hair (thank you April 101 on YouTube). Kinda botched a few spots but Joe doesn’t mind. Looks better than if he’d buzz cut himself as he said he’d do ;{ would be a terrible shame as he has striking platinum hair, with just enough wave to frame his face.
Carla good luck! Hope you get to stay in the ”temporary” office for the duration ;) Would you remind me what it is you do for the school?
Lanette, glad the goldenrod didn’t trouble you and Bravissima for the miracle of only 2 squares of 72% chocolate ;) Yours to Michele about two women in one kitchen. I couldn’t do it. What a harrowing experience D had. So thankful the bank employee knew what to do. Yikes!
Rebecca you take your chief’s creative arithmetic with better humor than I would ;{ Stunning pic of your sister’s property!
Pip gorgeous pic and lovely legs galfriend!
Beth so sorry about your mom’s confusion and tears. Not that I would wish diabetes on anyone but was grateful your family could guide you and DH about glucose monitor and tablets.
Carol ((hugs)) for that sad memory of your Mom. When Mama was in the hospice room at hospital she asked me to get her out of there. Unthinkingly I replied “I can’t. The only one who can get you out of here is God.” She passed soon after. :’{
@defiant63 Karen in BC checking in here is a great way to distract from the urge to binge eat . You can do this!
Michele good luck with Ganon!
Tracey 19 chicks?!? How old is Chase? LOVED the “out of shape” meme! Truth!
Debbie so sorry to hear the freezer is still not fixed. Frustrating! How exciting your DS popped the question! Try Mo on FB again, the "ADD FRIEND" button/link was back for me today.
Heather a book I’m reading said something that I took to mean that Waitrose was a more expensive grocer than Lidl? Would that be like the difference between Winco (discount, bag your own) and Safeway (full service) or Safeway and Whole Foods/Market of Choice (specialties, much more expensive). The mashup of John as Jane Austen made me snort my tea. Priceless!
Kylia hope grandson is ok after the accident. Getting “hit” again sounds awful.
Machka thanks ! Will put “Vera Wong’s Guide to Snooping (On a Dead Man) on hold.
Lisa “yes, I did ask him to go to urgent care. I did not get a polite response.” Are you sure Corey and Joe aren’t brothers from another mother? ;} “Sequined eye patch” Snort!
Margaret I really agree about not following food trends/fads. Your protocol reminds me of Lanette’s “eat like your grandmother.” Mama really did know best (except about overcooking vegetables ;} ) Oh bother indeed. Good on you for being so alert!
Rita hope your energy returns soon.
Kay belated happy anniversary wishes! How are things going with “foster grandparenting” your grand niece and with Possum?
Mo was trying to add you as FB friend but the :ADD FRIEND: button didn’t show on your profile. Now it does. FB friend request sent, belated best birthday wishes to your son.
Terri hope your tum has settled by now.
Barbie brava for thinking of what your friend who doesn’t use a computer would do. Well done!
Allie thank you SO much for checking in! Was getting worried.
That was WAY too much sitting. Time to get up and do "something" ;)
Later, lighter, lovelies!
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMODSeptember focus tidier: 5 minutes look for something that can be done in 5 mins or less… and just do it.

I let him balance the checkbook for a couple months and then was like, aack! I had to subtract $22 for some apparent reason just to balance! Something definitely wasn't logged in. He also deducts Amazon purchases and our bank puts a bunch together, then there is the international charges for mailing that never get logged in. Its really a challenge!
Its been interesting watching my sister turn this house into a home that reflects her. Also nice to see her cement herself in the community. She belongs to a ladies group (been around 100+ years or so), of the farming community. She was a president for a time, probably every one of the ladies has been president many times! They do charitable work mostly. I would imagine its hard with most of the community knowing her husband that's passed, and now telling her stories of him when he was growing up. Its like meeting a part of her husband she never knew. The residents are eager to help with anything that needs done around her farm that she physically can't manage which I think is great.💖

- I saw an announcement on FB a couple days ago that Gmail had been hacked, it was advisable to change passwords so I did. Thought it was odd that it didn't come from Google, but it was time to change the password anyhow. Not sure if that contributed to any of the problems you mentioned?
Lanette — You didn't click on a link in that email did you?
You deleted the email, then went into your Google account and changed your password there, right?

Hello Ladies;
I didn't work out yesterday, because I was having tummy troubles and realized that I need to take my medication. Today, I did two-step aerobic sessions, which were both fun and challenging. I worked out for 1 hour and 26 minutes. I did the Jane Fonda step aerobics, but was disappointed that my heart rate only got up to 120. When I did it again today, the number went up to 140, and then it went up to 159 when I did Step Reebok. I was so happy to get my work out in. Then I dyed my hair a new color, but it is a little too dark. That is okay, because next time I will try a different color. I threw away the art project I was working on. Then I was going to order another mermaid to paint, but that one was sold out. So I had to take it out of my can and reassemble it with a glue gun. I ordered some Fimo clay from Amazon to smooth it out. Then I will bake it in the oven. My vacation is over too soon. I have to go back to work tomorrow. 😥 I am already thinking of planning another bit of time off. I've reached the point where I no longer check my emails. I have almost 10,000 of them. When I do check, most of the time, there are scams. One was about a package, and Dh said it was a scam. I received multiple crazy ones.
Kay, happy anniversary, 50 years is something to celebrate. I genuinely believe there should be a book interviewing couples on how they stayed married so long. When I was in my twenties, it seemed like couples were paying an exorbitant amount to get married, only to divorce six months later.
Allie, Delia's gums look like two teeth are trying to break through soon. Delia is a beautiful baby. Debbie helped me find you, and I sent a request.
Barbara, you must send a pic of your hair-cutting skills. I cut my patient's hair one last time before he moved away. I know he is glad. I shaved all of his hair off. DH refuses to let me cut his hair.😜
Lisa and Rebecca, I need to see the dermatologist, too. So does DH. I also need to go to the dentist and the eye doctor. The older I get, the more doctors I have to see.
I am going to make my own Lunchables. I did one today, and it was simple. The one at Kroger is really good, especially the Simple Truth brand. They sell out all of the time. So I decided to make my own with fruit and vegetables. I saw someone at work eat Sushi from the hospital Cafeteria. What a brave soul. I will get my Sushi from a restaurant instead. I eat the safe ones that are cooked. I love the California roll, the Dynamite rolls, and the crab and shrimp rolls. I will put veggies in my lunchable or bento box. I need to get the scale to move downward. I did lose 0.8 of a pound. I am tracking too. I will check my Facebook page to see if I have friend requests or messages.
Karen, I bought some 25-calorie sugar-free Outshine popsicles, and they've been helpful. I keep my protein bars with me for my sweet tooth. Barbell has a nice one, choco-caramel, it is so good. It contains 200 calories, is high in protein, and low in carbs. Also, I love the Double-Chocolate Built bar that is 130 calories but 17 grams of protein. I keep them in the freezer.
Well, goodnight, everyone.
XO,
Mo in Mississippi

Also, I have gone to multifactor authentication for many of my accounts, including Google, so it would be odd for me to receive an email like that.
Have you upgraded to multifactor authentication?
I follow Mal ware bytes blog to try to keep an awareness of what's going on. I don't read each article because that would be overwhelming.
