Quick update on the fridge- worked great yesterday, got up this morning-ice is melting again then freezing so- called the repair man- they are refunding our total amount we paid because it didn't fix the problem and we went to Lowes and ordered a new one- It is coming tomorrow morning so I have spent this afternoon packing up everything that is in the hall way so the fridge can fit through. I am not done yet but needed to grab a snack before zumba- I will work on more tonight then be up early to take the last of the stuff out of the fridge. Thinking I will be dumping a lot more and start out with an almost empty fridge which is fine with me.

Ugh haven't eaten anything today ,and I go to sit on the pot,and upchuck all over..this is getting rediculous

Rebecca – what beautiful grands. Eli is ALREADY 2??? Doesn’t seem possible. But then again, I remember when Athena was born
Yea Pip!!!!!! You rock
Barbara – how wonderful you can get to the hosp earlier! Hope you don’t have to take the long way home. Do you have to keep all your loyalty cards? I have an app, Key Ring, where I take a picture of the card so I just have to have my phone with me, not dozens of cards J bought pizza today (guess who paid for it?). Honestly, getting it at a pizza place cost $53, then they wanted a tip, and the minimum tip was 15%. To have one gal just ring it up and another guy hand the pizza to us? I think not. It would have been so much cheaper to have bought it at WalMart. Plus, at least it would have been warm. By the time Jess got home from work, the pizza was cold.
Oh, guess what! We went to the organizational meeting for the winter league for bowling. Guess who got “most improved” bowler. Honestly, when she called my name, you could have knocked me over with a feather. But I know that all that means is that at the start of the season I really s***ed, and at the end I didn’t s*** as bad.
Barbara – for some reason, whenever I go into the lady’s locker room I have a reaction. To what I really don’t know. But I know that I start to cough and then my throat closes up. Who knows? It may be someone’s perfume, someone’s deodorant, the humidity, I have no idea
Loyalty cards: if you are traveling to some place where you don’t have a loyalty card; most store have a store card that you can ask for and still get the discount. Did you know?
After work stopped at Food Lion to get more cabbage before it goes off sale. I know it doesn’t go bad fast.
Last night C showed us the results of his sleep study. When Vince saw C’s (is it?) AHI number, he said “hold s***”. C’s was something like 45. It should be below 5. In a sense, I think Jess might be trying to embarrass him into using a CPAP. It WOULD be better for his health.
Bras: I can’t wear ones with a wire, digs into my chest and hurts. The only time I don’t wear a bra is when I have my work clothes on. I’ve stopped wearing sleeveless tops, but I don’t mind (really, like) the ones with a small cap sleeve
Took Ganon on two walks today. Poor dog was never treated as a pet for the first 5 years of his life so we need to work with him. For example, he won’t jump in the car to go somewhere.
Deb – glad you are getting a new fridge.

Today we ate at a local restaurant and I had the Monty Cristo sandwich with a small bowl or clam chowder. Also a diet soda which I haven't had in MONTHS! Everything was good. I ate the bowl of soup and 1/4th of the sandwich. They had 4 pieces all skewered nicely with a small container of strawberry jam. Crazy that I can only eat so much these days but that is appetite correction right there, at work. Dinner was leftover roast, a potato, and some carrots. I had an 11 oz protein shake in the afternoon. Also had 2 skewers of my sandwich. So I just have 1/4th of it as a snack tomorrow. My sodium is off the charts in my diary but whatever! Its hard to fit restaurant food into my plan! I don't go out that often so I won't worry about it.
My mother in law called to wish us Happy 41st Anniversary. She is so sweet at 92 years old. We chatted a long time. Love her to bits!
Talked with my eldest sister as well! Today was touching base with family day!

Welcome, join the conversation wherever you like! We do avoid religion and politics, but we talk about our whole lives as we try to get healthier.
Terri - the Danube cruise sounds wonderful.
Happy anniversary, Rebecca!
Hang in there, Allie.

I love my tank tops too. Especially when walking or zumba. Arms are not great but I am ok with them.
Bras- even at home I wear one- at home they are light cotton and comfy- otherwise it is sports bras- in class- extra support sports bras. If I don't, I tend to get a heat rash under the girls which is very uncomfortable.

Heather - you are right, we don’t get to have a vacation when we go home together. He wants to spend more time with his family, I want to spend more with mine. We either end up doing our own thing or we argue and neither of us are happy.
Your Grands are adorable, I agree Bea’s outfit is best.
Carol - I hope everything went well for your DH today.
Bras - I have not worn a bra at home since I was in my own home. Rodger’s mom used to tell me that I would regret it and it would make me sag terribly. I actually do sag some but not terribly. A few years ago I read a thing about bras actually causing sagging. 🤷♀️ who knows!
I have gone out without one with a hoodie on.
I also wear tank tops all the time.Lisa - I really like the vinyl plank flooring, that’s what we have in our bathroom.
Machka - pretty flowers
Lanette - we do well taking trips here together. He doesn’t have enough vacation time to take off what that trip would require, also he doesn’t want to go back to NB
We are actually taking the Grands to the mountains in a couple of weeks. He usually drives, but this will be in my car so I might take over.
You’ll be thankful this winter to have the furnace working well.Barbie - I would love to drive across the states too, I’ll wait a bit for that though. I have seen a lot of it from the windshield of a truck, I would like to visit some of the areas too
Terri - it sounds like a wonderful time to have a cruise.
Debbie - at least you’ll have some peace of mind with a new fridge.
Allie - do they have any ideas of what is causing the vomiting?
I’m late to bed, I’ll share pics tomorrow of Kaitlyn’s sailboat.

I hope you have contacted a doctor about this!

Good morning!
Sport bras most of the time for work. I now understand the belly shelf. A real bra for some dresses. Bra is usually second thing off when get home. Shoes are first!Been going bra less more lately. I am a member of the IBTC. Some sag, but it's all good!
I just bought two tanks with bra inserts. They look awesome.
Healing thoughts!
Proud of all of your independent activities. I love powerful women!
Yes, we Americans need to be more thankful for the many shapes and sizes of our bodies. Less self judgement would be great..…
Carol and Allie- added prayers.
Gotta get some breakfast. Much love,

Barbie! That's just too sweet. I have a coordinator now who really does appreciate me and man that feels so good. Thank you so much. It is a lot of paperwork, even if it is online now. We just found out yesterday that all of our school coding is changing, effective October 1st!!! to common code. That might not seem like a big deal to most people, but it's huge. With school codes, we're able to specifically separate between us and everyone else and say to insurance companies (which we have to ask for denials) "do you cover T1018 codes" and they immediately knew they didn't. Now we're going to have to go into great explanation that we're education services, using common codes, with education modifiers. It's really going to be a huge CF. I'm SO glad I'm retiring! And they've decided to give us three weeks notice! So typical.
Love and Blessings

Kylia — some of my tank tops have shelf bras too. They are good!
When I wear double tanks, the inside one is usually fairly snug to kind of hold things where they belong and the outer one is a bit looser.
I've got a double tank situation like the one I just described going on here! That was about 2 years ago, I think.
Today, however, I'm wearing a tank top with a long-sleeved top over it because winter is having another go here.

Rebecca ~ Happy 40th Anniversary!
Debbie ~ So glad the frig repair place refunded your money and hope you enjoy the new one.
Beth ~ Sad to hear that your new mattress is sagging. That brand is supposed to be very good. Maybe they will replace.
Kylia ~ Beautiful photo of you and DH.
We got to the hospital yesterday for DH's procedure to check for lung infection. They had him prepped and ready to go when the anesthesiologist came in and sent us home. He checked all of his records and said that his heart might fail if they proceeded. Why in the world would the pulmonologist who ordered this had not checked his records from the hospital visit over Labor Day weekend. I am so worried and just wish his cardiologist (who is supposed to be very good) would be more proactive.

Carol …. I'm sorry to hear that your husband wasn't able to proceed with his tests. It is so frustrating when the different medical disciplines can't get their act together. Praying it gets worked out soon. Hugs.
Rebecca … Happy Anniversary!
Allie … what's going on? Praying you soon feel better.

Carol son bought a couch that did not last a year from Slumberland. They did give him a refund that he used to buy a different couch. It is still in great shape and a great couch five years later.
Allie are you still on a weight loss drug? One side effect can be vomiting. I know you have tons of doctor appointments already but do they have you working with a nutritionist. I wish they had had my DH working with one while he was ill.

Terri - I love that you and your DH are so active and energetic. You are such an inspiration. 😉 That cruise sounds wonderful.
Debbie - so glad you'll be getting a new fridge. Wish they could make appliances that last like they used to. I guess there are some really high-end appliances made in Europe available over here - Germany produces the Miele. I understand they are expensive but can last decades with minimal repairs.
Kylia - what a nice photo of you and your DH, hope you are getting some good relaxation in. I haven't had good luck with sports bras but need to look at them again. I see some ads on FB for supposedly comfortable ones with snaps in front and wide straps. Think I'll see if reputable catalogs like Land's End and established stores offer something similar.
Medicare doo-dah - This past weekend I caught up on some possible Medicare Advantage and Supplement premium increases for 2026. One of the YouTube presenters I watched gave an in-depth analysis of how the insurers keep afloat. If he's correct, some of them aren't going to be in business, or their plans will be changing coverage and deductibles. October 15 thru Dec 7th is the annual enrollment period for most states. (In WA, I can switch Medigap Supplement plans any time during the year.) I'm going to schedule an appointment with my insurance broker and go over things in detail. Might be time to switch to a high deductible plan.
Collette will be here shortly. After this, I don't have anything scheduled for the rest of the week except the retiree's BBQ on Thursday evening that I may or may not attend. Love that I can wear gardening clothes and fit right in, lol. Not sure if T and her DH will make it this time. FIL passed away on Saturday and they've been busy tending to things at his house and with arrangements. He had requested "no services" and some of the boys wanted to respect his wishes with that. Looks like they've decided on graveside service for just family (there might be 200 attending just that! Big family!) and Celebration of Life at a later date for friends and acquaintances.

I wear cotton sports bras. Switched to those a while back when I got a really bad heat rash under the girls. I also add is a type of pad made special to go under. I used to have implants and after having them removed due to leakage, my girls sag and sweat underneath profusely. If I could, I would go braless. I only wear one now to control the sweating!
A couple years ago we replaced our expensive king size mattress with one from Sam's club of all places. Fit perfectly and haven't had any back or neck issues from switching. Goes to show that price doesn't always equal quality! We only had the expensive one for 5 years.
The refrigerator in our RV is just as old as the RV (1999 model) and still runs well. I expect it to die any time now because of the age. I will replace it with a house model if/when it does die. Too old to fix.
Thought for today:
How do you throw a space party?
You planet!

I wish they lasted like they used to too!!
There is a small fridge at what was my mother in laws house(now my son and his fiance's place) that FIL bought USED way back in '62. Still running great, never have had a repairman needed with it.Son talked about getting rid of it when he was first moving in but now is glad he has it. It is down stairs where they hang out most of the time so keeps drinks down there.4 -
Hello, my friends;
I wanted to thank those who accepted me into their FB community. I can't stay for long because I need to drop Rose off at Day Camp and pick up my mom for her doctor's appointment. Wish me luck.
Carol, prayers for you and your DH regarding health concerns. I take Robaxin when my back or legs act up from my bulging disk or sciatica. DH needs a full workup done. I am concerned about the blood he is coughing up.
Allie, I didn't see any pics of the baby you were speaking of. I am worried about you. I am praying for you to feel better. I hate feeling nauseated, so I know you feel awful.
Lisa, take it easy, you are doing too much.
Heather, I love that dress. John may not be able to keep his hands off of you.;). That dress would look good in some sandals, too.
PIP, I am proud of you !
Well, I am going to hit the showers now. Chow for now.
XO,
Mo in Mississippi
PS, Kylia, I am jealous, but you deserve time away. Don't worry about work.

Allie, I hope you contacted doc, and you feel better soon!
Thanks for the FB add Mo!💖👍🏼
Carol, big hugs to you during this stressful time with your husband! I hope the doctor gets his act together and come up with a solid plan of care for your husband.😥
Regarding bras: I did go thru a couple years during the "nudist resort visiting" years where I did not partake in wearing bras. It was weird, as I recall walking to school to pick up youngest, and my friend she started nick naming me, "flip and flop". Sighs, looking back it was pretty rude to call me that, but I just laughed and carried on. I didn't give one hoot. I also remembered not many moms talked to me as we parents all waited for school to get out, but all the fathers surely did. Ugh...did I say it was a weird time....🙄
I do wear bras 100% of the time now.
Today my foods are an iced coffee for breakfast with vitamins etc and also a hot coffee. Lunch is some raw red bell pepper slices with cherry tomatoes and the dressing I like. Then a half egg salad sandwich. Dinner is leftover roast, carrots, sweet onion bits, wild rice in the leftover beef juice. A soup! Snack is a granola bar. Low on the calories but acceptable. Getting 80 oz of liquids in.
Current weight is 213.0 Down 35.6 lbs. Slow and steady. My goal is to get to Onederland by Christmas. We'll see! It would be a nice present to give myself anyways.🙃

Did my good deed for the day (yesterday). We had finished walking our dog for their usual 4mi walk. Then I started walking to the gym. I was on foxhill drive and there was a lady walking her dog on a leash and there was another dog by her. As I came up she asked if that was my dog, she said the dog wouldn’t let her get close (probably because she had a dog). I was able to get the dog and we called the number on the collar. I carried the dog (about 15lbs) across the savemart and the owner met me there. Forest I guess is an escape artist. Lucky he had a collar with a name and phone number on it.

Carol - I was so sorry to hear about your DH's cancelled test yesterday. 😥 Hope the docs soon have a plan to safely get the testing he needs. You two have been through more in the past year than many of us deal with in a decade. Please take it one day at a time if you can. ((((HUGS))).
Rebecca - Eli is getting so big! What a cutie. Good job on your weight loss, sounds like you have your GI tract perking right along again. 😁 That Monte Cristo sandwich sounds delish.
Pip - good job getting Forest back home, yes you did your good deed for sure. Any idea the breed? 🐕️
I found the neatest inexpensive long sleeved tops at Walmart. Under $10 each, comfy and stretchy. I got one in each color. Something to wear under a sweatshirt when the weather turns cold or even as a PJ top.

the fridge is here BUT- dh was so concerned about the width/depth of the new one that he forgot to check the height- He is now cutting off the trim on the bottom of the cabinets that are over the fridge.
He is surprisingly calm about all of it- just got his saws out and trimmed it.
Letting the fridge cool down before putting the food(the little that was able to be saved from the old one) back in.
Going to go shopping in a bit.Debbie
