Did a body pump DVD today. Afterwards, went in the pool at the Y fora bit, then Aldi, came home and put yogurt in the IP, went in the pool, made icing for the cake I made the other day, took Ganon for a walk (I used a halter they got but he did not like it at all. So we came back, I got the gentle leader, and he didn't give me much of a problem. I'm starting to give him an extra good treat — today was leftover meatloaf — when we get back so he'll associate a walk with a pleasurable experience), had dinner, then ceramics. It’s waaaayyy to dark to take him for another walk.
Terri – what a lovely flower
pip – great job
Unfortunately, sounds like Jess is getting frustrated at ceramics because they don’t have much poured for someone to buy. It was never like this. I suspect that M who is now in charge is just sitting around. She has a budget and it looks like she’s spending it on things like a new refrigerator, a new microwave (the old one worked fine), she didn’t order any new paints. Well, that just means that we’ll have to buy our bisque somewhere else.
Jess and C went to the store. She’s going to have lasagna tomorrow night so they bought Stouffers lasagna. Get this – they also bought toilet paper because they said that ours is cheap (well, it is, it’s Aldi brand). Well, their money.
Allie – so glad no nausea

One where the food and exercise diaries are and one here in community.

Looking at the painting projects you are doing, makes me want to get back to mine. Lisa, 🤩, gouache is such a fun medium, lovely colours, but I almost never use it. I use the white to cover blobs in watercolour. It makes me think of Edie, who loves the word! I'm itching now to have a splosh around. I'm tending to larger works these days, so it's a bit more of a commitment.
Great project, Pip. You are very creative.
I woke up early, but I've got my exercise regime done, so all is well. I might venture out for flowers. We've had torrential rain here the last couple of days, so the cricket was abandoned. John dashed out, and just made it back before the next downpour.
John's going to make cauliflower cheese, with bacon, tonight, and I'm going to put a jacket potato in the oven. It's a very small cauliflower. 😅

I put in 2 days of work in the office this week (and 2 days of work at home). I was so exhausted when I got home on Wednesday that I immediately went for a nap. Thursday was a little bit better. But last night I slept almost 12 hours.
However, I am better than I was last week! So there's hope!
I tested twice and it's not COVID, RSV or the Flu … it's something else. There's something else going around. I'm not the only one with the mystery illness.
Tracey — I quite like being a hair model and she did a great job. 😊 I'm thinking I'll do it more often. I've noticed that they put up requests for people they can try their braiding and styling skills on too, so I might go for something like that.
Long ago, I thought I might like to go to hairdressing school and learn it as a skill. I didn't, but it still interests me. It's fascinating watching the various students doing different styles and things on the practice heads.
I have today off and have had enough energy to do a little bit in my home office. I'm almost finished the first sort into major categories.
And last night I was awake and alert enough to work on some cycling club stuff.

Good Friday,
Yesterday was apparently a rest day. After 16k steps on Wednesday, I only got 6k yesterday. We slept in, spent time with friends, then shopped, then more friends time looking at cars. Today is walking day.
Allie- Add me to the glad you are feeling better, but wish you would get doctor's opinion. You are important!
Pip- Remind me why you have to run faster, please. You do so much already. Love the puppies!
My new boot/shoes. Won't wear much down here as I don't think they are made for walking 3-5 miles a day. I can wear my cowboy boots all day at work, but walking the pavement here is not doable. I walked a mile in my socks once because I got blisters from shoes. Now I just wear my trusted white tennis shoes if walking.
Breakfast done. Still need to stretch, but ready to see what this day brings.
We do see the coolest things on the strip!
Much love,

Kylia- I keep telling myself I don’t have to run faster. I am beyond the point of having to prove anything to myself or anyone else. I was looking back in my records and I found that in 2014, I was 55, I did a 7.29 min mile at the jingle bell run in Seattle and that run has 2 or 3 good inclines. That was the same year I did my first marathon (26.2 mi) here in Fresno and that was a 10.14 min mile. For the longest time I was usually running about a 9.30-9.40 minute mile. For me this is slow jogging for me lately. I’m not pushing myself. That’s why I label it a slow jog because I’m not trying to run it faster.

Mo - the taller one is my grandson, Jonah. He looks so much like his mother though, he gets called a girl a lot.
Heather - it will be nice to see G, I bet you will have a great visit.
When is the cruise? Is it October?Rebecca - is it $84 for a cut only?
Pip - great job on the pups in the wagon. If you aren’t satisfied with the colours you can try drybrushing other colours over it. That’s how we get the colour and depths in ceramics. I’m sure there are YouTube videos. I really think they’re cute though.
Machka - I hope you get some rest on the weekend and feel much better by the start of the week.
I had a colour, cut and perm done at the school. I think years ago, I had a friend taking the course and she used me too. I don’t mind it at all. If the school here was more accessible I would probably be a model for them more often.
It’s downtown Edmonton and parking and traffic is crazy.Kylia - where are you again? Where is the strip? I’m picturing you in Pigeon Forge, I don’t know why.
I didn’t get a chance to check in last night, I left from work and immediately drove an hour to meet Kaitlyn to go for a sail in her newly refinished sailboat. She has a story on IG about how she was restoring the boat and her soul this summer.
We didn’t do a lot of “sailing” as the wind died, but we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. It’s the first time I ever sailed. This morning I am sitting at the car dealership while they detail my car. It was part of the purchase package, this afternoon I have a doctor’s appointment and tonight Jonah will be out.
Sunday, I am having the twins and their mom over for a visit.I don’t think there are any plans for my birthday tomorrow.

Rebecca, I can't see your diary either. I followed the directions that MFP gave. I'm doing this on my Windows computer. I get a SMALL list of friends I can see their diaries. (Home>friend= list of open diaries). On the list of friends I have most have their profile on private. I check my iPad and Rebecca, you are not on my friends list either. Perhaps we have to be friends on MFP for it to work? I sent you a friend request to test this theory. I couldn't as I don't have your email. That was the only way to add you as a friend on here. Couldn't find it on Messenger either.
Pip, Love the puppies in the wagon! Looks great!
Thursday: morning walk, meditation, and Lucy training all in one. Then MFP, lunch/dinner which kicked off my colitis again so stayed close to bathroom the rest of the day.
Machka, your kitty in the window reminds me of the black wooden shadow figures that are made here. So cute! My friend K has a black long fur cat too. She has to have it shaved once a year as it gets all matted up when she sheds.
Tracey, Happy early birthday!
Thought for today:
Did you hear about the kidnapping at school?
He woke up.

Tracey - HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
Some flowers for you! I would love to be there in person to give them to you.
What a wonderful sunset 'sail' you had with Kaitlyn. Precious moments.
Here it is autumn, and chilly! I'm resisting putting the heating on, but I'm in a thick cardigan and thermal socks. Lashing rain squalls. Neither of us went out today. It looks sunny one minute, and the next all hell breaks lose.
I've wrapped Edie's presents. At least she will appreciate the trouble I've taken to make it look lovely. I had a free half hour so I ironed my cloth napkins, the guest pillowcases and a t shirt!!! It's a rare thing for me to get the iron out, but I actually enjoyed it. I'm going to snaffle one of the guest pillowcases for myself, as it's an Oxford one, which I like on my bed. They look so nice ironed.
John's cauliflower cheese is made and just waiting to go into the oven with the jacket potatoes. Yum!

Tracey - Happy Birthday! Still 39, right? 😁 Even without the wind, being on a boat in the water like that is a joy. Good job Kaitlyn on the boat restoration. 😉
Rita - how's the Lucy training coming along? I bet well - she's a smart little pup.
Happy Friday ladies.

I get it shampooed, then cut, then she styled it. Yep it's $70 something for the cut but with the tip it was $84. Its a lot. But its a haircut that works right away, and its not a week fiddled with it like at Supercuts or some of the cheaper places I have been to here. Normally I am not this "high maintenance", but ah well!
Beautuful photos!

Recently, I'm seeing all of your names as possible friend requests. I sent requests to Carol, Allie, Mo, Kay and Margaret. Feel free to ignore my request btw. I saw you Lisa, but you said you were leaving FB, so I didn't send a request. I'm not very active on FB, but if I missed someone who would like to be friends on FB, feel free to send me a friend request.

Well finally Athena got to start First Grade. Her district was on strike for a time. She looks over the moon excited!
Today we went off island to finally pick up the back window privacy screen that just blocks people looking in and seeing the hatchback items. The dealership had our Chevy Spark out on the lot.💖. I went over and she looked so small compared to what we're driving now! She's got new seats but not much else changed. On the dashboard was the mark of where our native dancer used to be. I had hot glued it to the top of the dash, so I knew that would a pain to try to get off😂! We didn't attempt to get her off of there. There wasn't a price listed, we should've asked what they were selling it for out of curiosity. We then drove to Anacortes and went to lunch at a deli we wanted to try. Its been there forever. I had part of my Greek bowtie pasta salad, plus half a turkey on marble rye. When I got my half I cut it in half! I drank half my pint of Stella. Logging it was interesting, mentally dismantling the sandwich. The pickle was outstanding! Dinner is some yogurt, and an 11 oz mocha latte protein drink. Afternoon is lots of water!

Happy birthday Tracey- Hope you get to do something fun.
Dh and I spent over two hours cleaning behind and inside of the dryer because after it started making a terrible squeak-first time it did that. Pulled it out and found the vent hose wasn't attached in the back so all that lint was behind it. Got it cleaned, wall wiped down, the back of the dryer wiped down. He even opened the top and vacuumed inside around the drum. Took a long time to get the hose back on- VERY tight space but, not only does it sound better but we worked together and he didn't get irritated really- only a very slight time or two but barely noticeable.
Got done just in time to go walk before getting Ezie. Walked an hour around the wetlands. Have aqua zumba tonight and already at 8000 steps.
No plans tomorrow except getting a few more things finished for the show on Sunday. I have a 6' and 5' snake to finished cleaning. It will be great doing a show that is only 20 min. away instead of 2-3 hours away.
Week after next will be spent driving back and forth to my home town-an hour and 20 min. away. Monday to the lawyer to sign the last papers, Tues. morning to take mom to her MRI appt. and then Saturday to our class reunion. We will spend the night at moms and come home on Sunday
