    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 308 (my 238th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round, will be difficult with hotel food all round!

    Soooh, in 5 hours we fly out for our annual holiday; in that time I want to eat at maintanence & not overindulge, but I am on holiday so will relax a tad, I can do it if I use my will power.

    9/7 141.6 – (trend 141.8) 11.64 miles walked. Can’t say that I’m not disappointed with this number especially after Friday’s goal weight being achieved, I was under calories yesterday, but over on carbs, I’ll blame the pizza for tea. Oh well, it is what it is!

    9/8 DNW - up at 1.30 am to travel to airport, good food yesterday.

    9/9 DNW - kept as much on track as possible. Buffet food at the hotel & all inclusive, kept portion control and made sensible choices, but so tempting! One adult beverage on arrival & one with dinner.

    9/ 10 DNW - 7.98 mile walked.

    9/11 DNW - 8.34 miles walked, still exercising portion control & sensible choices, 2 adult beverages. It is so relaxed here, first time for many years we have actually lay on the beach for a couple of hours and swam in the sea which is so warm & clear, wonderful to see all the fish big & small swimming!

    9/12 DNW - 8.4 miles walked. This is such a small resort that walking is limited, but we are managing to go 6 miles in the morning & make it up in the evening after dinner.

    9/9 132.4 🏆🎾🚶‍♀️💗👣🤸🏼Tossed & turned all night. Of course. I’m too groggy to figure out today but I WILL fuel my body & move. Full court press today -for tonight’s meeting. - I’m keeping up pretty well.  I need to 💦🏋️‍♀️. My two ✅ non-negotiables today.#HSF #MindBodySoul. 

    NSV: I’m in a MUCH better place (head) than I was 2 yrs or even 6mos ago. I’ve learned NEW habit formation for me is REALLY harder than I ever imagined. I have some new habits that I’m extra proud of (💦📖👣🚶‍♀️💗& 🥩P:E) but ohhhh soooo far to go. Some old /current habits (like self-talk) are still forever-present & destructive. Quick to realize but always there. Must be thankful for the awareness so I at least can change directions. 

    9/10 132.4 🏆🚶‍♀️💗👣🤸🏼 We lost. No regrets only sorrow for my town. I will need a few days to get through this… But I’m ready to embrace ANOTHER new chapter and move on. Very proud of the consistency on this #HSF journey during this emotional time - at least this morning anyway. Maybe I have indeed created a few dependable healthy habits. Counting my blessings. Onward!

    Hospital /City Hall - local politics is too dysfunctional- we lost on every possible meaningful improvement. The design process is now over. Five story, 400+ parking garage/helipad in a residential neighborhood -I kid you not. It’s over… Construction will begin ASAP. We’re fortunate that this battle exposed who should NEVER be reelected to hold public office again. We have their numbers!

    SW 214 Round 308 (1)

    9/8 - 214 - I just signed up for Caroline Girvan's new Iron series on her app and it officially starts today. I have done some of her Iron workouts on YouTube (free) and over the weekend, I saw a FB post about her new next level Iron series that starts today and just the idea of starting something, anything with other people makes me feel a little bit more motivated. Starting today, I am going to stick to a new plan and see it out for the next ten weeks. It is fitting that this round also started today. The Universe is telling me that today is the day, lol! About to go start Iron, day 1, now. 

    9/9 - 211 - Looks like I lost the water weight from eating some non-healthy food on Saturday. I did my first Iron Pro workout yesterday. Even though there were a LOT of lunges, it wasn't too bad because this series has a longer rest period between sets which I found very helpful. Because of that, I was able to complete all of the sets. I have upped my daily step goal to 7,000 each day but it has been very rainy here for the past couple of days that I haven't been able to get in a long walk. I did take a short walk yesterday in the rain while waiting for my daughter's bus so that helped me get to 5,500 steps for the day. I didn't eat over my planned macros either so I say my first day was a successful one! 

    9/10 - 210.5 - Half a pound down, I'll take that, lol! Even with more rain yesterday, I was able to meet my step goal of 7,500! I might have even gone over but once I hit my goal, I take my watch off (it's usually the evening anyhow) just because it's so heavy and bulky and I really don't care about wearing it. It does help keep me on track with my steps and helps if and when my daughter contacts me because I am usually not on my phone for most of the day. I also completed day 2 of Iron Pro! Just have to keep going!! Happy Wednesday!!

    9/11 - 210.5 - I had a lot of work yesterday and wasn't able to come close to my step count but that's okay, I did stick to my nutrition plan and got my third workout in. Iron Pro day 3 was much harder than I thought it was going to be! It was more lunges and at this point, my toes hurt from doing them, lol! It felt like a very LONG 30 mins! Today is supposed to be a rest day per the Iron Calendar so I think I will just do some random exercises from some IG posts I've saved.

    9/12 - 209.5 - TGIF! Yesterday was a rest day in regards to the Iron program and even though I had planned on it being more of an active rest day, I didn't feel well so I just went for a short walk. Today is Day 4 of the Iron series and it's supposed to be a full body day so hopefully if it includes lunges, it won't be that many! My goal for this weekend is to not binge eat and plan out my food just like I do during the week. I usually spend all week going back down the scale from what I gained over the weekend. That may work in maintenance but not if I want to keep losing.

I honestly don’t know what was going on then but by the end of 2022 my husband had had both shoulders replaced, I’d had a big blow up with our older daughter, and he had been elected to our HOA board. All major stressors. and I started gaining. I need to get a firmer grip on my eating and hope and pray that he will “let go” of the board when his term is up in November. [/Spoiler]

    9/8  128.0 I think this is the result of sleeping 11 hours after finally going to the Urgent Care yesterday and getting on some meds for this whatever it is we all had to some degree after our trip to Hawaii. I hope I feel better every day. 
    9/9   128.0 I felt pretty good yesterday but had Carl take me to my mani appt. He wanted to try a different Walmart for decongestant - they were out also.  It seems lots of people have this “bug”

    @Chapter_3 Marathon Florida only recently got a hospital, though it is small and limited. It is more than we had before and directly across the small harbor from us. Well, it came with a helipad, and the flight path in and out is directly over our condo. Due to the limited hospital, high medical needs are all med-flighted to Miami. Every time I am annoyed by the loud rotor sounds I remember to be grateful I am not in it, and grateful that when I do, it will be there for me. I also throw in a little prayer for the patient in flight.

Yikes! 4.4 lbs higher than the before travel weight Monday morning just prior to leaving! Hopefully some of this is fluid retention that I have a difficult time shedding. I will take my water pill today like a good girl and hope that helps. DD and DGS will be back late this afternoon. I will not be derailed!

    🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/12-183.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.9)4.6 lb loss overnight although this was a later weigh-in than usual as I lay back down on Friday mornings after DGS school bus. This 4.6 lb loss explains why I will often not weigh directly after travel (food and sitting). The inflated weight is often just fluid my heart can’t pump through and I can’t take my water pill for that while on the road. The drastically lower weight after pill just puts me back where I’m really at, no fat loss. Both numbers are fantastical so I usually just avoid the scale until I’m home and can take my prescription. I often get people from all my different challenges say I should “weigh anyway” , “see what foods affect me”, etc. etc. etc. I even get private messages about it from well-meaning friends. While this may be good and true info for some, it is just not the same for me or others like me. I don’t need to know I’m bloated or affected by salt or sitting. I already know my body can’t pump it out without help. Anyway, just thought I would vent and share how frustrating this can be, this drastic gain & loss, as it does impede my information I could be gleaning. I did have an excellent day yesterday in spite of DD and DGS arriving. Very low calorie, moderate carbs and extra time on the exercise bike as I finished out watching a show while on it. All good. Now, to get back to 181.8 or lower!

    @deepwoodslady What is the contraindication for travel and water pills? Is it just the need for more frequent pit stops? I know nothing on this topic. Glad you are back on track! <3

    @SModa61 Yes, urinate about every 10 minutes literally. I try not to have anything back to back days since I need to stay home. Even local things are too much trouble. That's why I can't take them everyday but I try to take them as often as I can as they are prescribed daily.

    9/12 - 167.3 - I'm happy with this unexpected drop! I realized that I was incorrectly adding up my water intake - I thought one of my cups held more water than it actually does! I was not drinking 100oz a day, but closer to 85-90oz. From here on out, though, I know better and will aim to hit the actual 100oz. Gym for my second lower body day. It was a success! Despite going much lighter on weights, I still broke a sweat and felt my self getting close to muscle failure which was delightful given my limitations. I missed a call for PT earlier due to work so I'm hoping on Monday I can get a hold of them to schedule my PT.

    Sept 8 -17, 2025

    63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida). 
    SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    8/8 – 126.2 I got through yesterday well. Was a very mixed day. It started with family visiting my mom so she could finally see DGS2 for his second birthday. She was totally blank. I have never seen her like this, to this extreme. So, the family together was fun, but mom’s condition/behavior was stressful. We’ll see what today brings.

    8/9 – 126.6 regarding the scale, the day ended poorly. I was wondering overnight whether it is easier for me to NOT start vs STOP once a binge has begun. Just something for me to contemplate. As for my mom, yesterday was as if Sunday never happened. She seems to know nothing about it and is acting “normal” (she is roughly stage 5 for “normal” reference). She apparently claims to not remember any of us visiting, and it was 7 of us for about an hour and a half. I would love to understand the “why”.

    8/10 – 127.2 yesterday, calories were good/fine. Maybe this was delayed results from the previous day. Was with mom again, and yesterday was like Sunday. Her healthcare provider is going to check her today, but zoom medical with her psychologist (for dementia) agreed that we may just be seeing a stress reaction to change (new bed and new aid added to her team).

    8/11 – 125.6 good day all around. Back into maintenance range. Got 5 out of 10 days in round 307.

    8/12 – 126.6 Over on calories. Dinner was at 4:15 (attended a wake), and just got too hungry later in the evening. Also, dinner and late night were “processed” items and overnight finger were tight. Theory is there might be salt and fluid retention showing her. I did try on rehearsal dinner and wedding dresses yesterday, and everything fits. Today’s food should be good and is planned out, and will NOT be a 4:15 dinner.

    8/13 – 126.8 a definite gift. Binge again. At least I know there is no time for a binge today or tomorrow, but still facing lots of foot. I plan to enjoy but be thoughtful.

    9/8  128.0 I think this is the result of sleeping 11 hours after finally going to the Urgent Care yesterday and getting on some meds for this whatever it is we all had to some degree after our trip to Hawaii. I hope I feel better every day. 

    9/9   128.0 I felt pretty good yesterday but had Carl take me to my mani appt. He wanted to try a different Walmart for decongestant - they were out also.  It seems lots of people have this “bug”

    9/8: 145.4. No explanation for another increase. Food was within goals, 4 mile treadmill run.

    9/9: 146.2. ?? TOM is coming up soon, so that may be making me a bit bloated. No TMI for a few days. But I don't know. Seems like weight is just ballooning out of control. I really haven't been eating crazy. Hopefully it'll go down just as quick when my body is ready.

    I've decided I'm going to try OMAD for a while. See if just a change in my patterns will force a bit of a good change on the scale.

    9/10: 144.4. I wasn't very successful at OMAD yesterday. I kept taking bites of random food whenever I was in the kitchen without even thinking about it. I'm going to keep trying though. I need to work on self control around food.

    Long outdoor walk and 4 mile treadmill run.

    9/11: 144.0. I did a lot better with OMAD yesterday. It still wasn't perfect, but I had a lot more self control. It is helping with awareness of what I am popping into my mouth. I'm doing fine hunger-wise.

    PMS got to me a bit yesterday, so I skipped running. I did a long walk in the morning though.

    9/12: 142.6. I'm happy to have released some water weight. OMAD went well yesterday. There was just one moment during my kids' dinner that I snuck a few bites of their leftovers but other than that, I stuck to it pretty well. Still working towards a perfect day.

    I went for a walk, but took another rest day from running. I was too exhausted from PMS again. I feel kind of guilty for taking a few days off, but I really just didn't have it in me. I won't be able to go tonight, but I'll be back at it tomorrow.

    9/13: 143.6. I thought my weight would be down today, I had a good day yesterday. I stuck to my one meal and didn't do any snacking. I did a 3 mile walk but wasn't able to get to the gym for a run. I need to get a run in today, I have missed 3 days mow.

    09/12-183.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.9)4.6 lb loss overnight although this was a later weigh-in than usual as I lay back down on Friday mornings after DGS school bus. This 4.6 lb loss explains why I will often not weigh directly after travel (food and sitting). The inflated weight is often just fluid my heart can’t pump through and I can’t take my water pill for that while on the road. The drastically lower weight after pill just puts me back where I’m really at, no fat loss. Both numbers are fantastical so I usually just avoid the scale until I’m home and can take my prescription. I often get people from all my different challenges say I should “weigh anyway” , “see what foods affect me”, etc. etc. etc. I even get private messages about it from well-meaning friends. While this may be good and true info for some, it is just not the same for me or others like me. I don’t need to know I’m bloated or affected by salt or sitting. I already know my body can’t pump it out without help. Anyway, just thought I would vent and share how frustrating this can be, this drastic gain & loss, as it does impede my information I could be gleaning. I did have an excellent day yesterday in spite of DD and DGS arriving. Very low calorie, moderate carbs and extra time on the exercise bike as I finished out watching a show while on it. All good. Now, to get back to 181.8 or lower!

    🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/13-184.0 ❌ (Trend Weight:184.8) I hated putting that ❌ there today when yesterday was such a perfect day. Macros were fabulous. Calories & carbs excellent. TMI in order. Very good exercise. The only thing out of line was sleep last night. Just 3.3 hours. I can only guess that after such a late weigh-in yesterday and a huge water shedding after my diuretic, I may have been slightly dehydrated yesterday. I guess this number is where I stand and start my day today and which is most likely accurate. Today I travel about 100 miles to take my DD shopping and DGS to bowl a few games. Lunch will be out, her pick. I guess there may be another squiggly line on my graph tomorrow. We’ll see.

    9/8: 182.2 🤨+0.3 from Rnd 307 EW | NSV: Went on a 1.8mi walk this morning. It felt good. Full day of lessons today. I will be wiped this evening. Planning on a strawberry-spinach salad for dinner…with chicken, of course—so I’m not so hungry after dinner! Hardest goal so far is NOT eating after 8 pm!!! Any tips? Anyone care to share your best tip for curbing that monster? I am literally hungry—not just bored. I’m busy doing things with my hands and keeping my mind busy. 

    9/9: 180.4 😊-1.8 Okay, I’ll take it, but not counting on it to last. NSV: I closed my rings yesterday and had 621 calories remaining. However, I also have calorie adjustment ON??? I had no idea that I had it on or that it even was a thing. After reading about it, I think I shall leave it alone. Salad was tasty last night, and I made sure to have 6 oz chicken to stave off hunger. It worked! 

    9/10: 181.2 😏I’m up from yesterday but still below SW for this Rnd. Pretty jazzed about dinner last night. I made Risotto for the first time! In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever tasted it. The whole meal was a-mazing! Tonight is music bingo at a local brewery for a Meetup. I’m excited to go have fun but nervous about what to order. I’ve been studying the menu. Not only do I want low-cal, I also need GF. Ugh! 🤞

    9/11: 181.5 😔Okay, I know this is going to eventually go down for good if I stay strong. It has to!!! Meanwhile, I had a couple glasses of wine and GF tacos (meaning corn tortillas) at the brewery for music bingo last night. They were yummy. 😋So considering all of that, I think I understand why the scale was up a bit today. Now tomorrow?? That’s going to be interesting. Mexican restaurant out with the family for lunch today🌮, tap class started back up💃, and book club tonight📚. NSV: I did not go insane with the chips and espinaca dip today. I looked up the calories before having any and kept control. That was big! Plus, I was so careful today that I’m going to enjoy a cupcake tonight🧁. I’m so excited!!!🤩

    9/12: 181.8 🤨Had the cupcake. Am I being punished? 😔

    9/13: 180.8 😮Wonder if this is real??? I know I hurt from tap dancing on Thursday. I’ve had more wine this week, since you know, once you open a bottle, you have to finish it within a week. 🤣These incremental moves make me nuts!!!! Not sure what’s happening the rest of the day.
