Did you cut caffeine? This is usually a symptom when you do it.

I agree with the caffeine. Not that beign addicted to caffeine is good ( i too am an addict) but the sodas kill your day. Drink some tea......

I would say YES. Decreasing caffiene is #1 headache causer! I was so happy to get those over with. I also remember getting headaches as I was cutting calories. Keep up your good work, it will be worth it

I did the same thing too. Don't cut too much too soon. Plus I looked like a teenager and started having breakouts. I was getting all the toxins out of my body. Hope your headaches get better.

Ditto on the caffeine. Caffeine constricts blood vessels in the brain. If you abruptly cut off your normal dosage of coffee, the vessels dilate and cause headaches. They'll last a few days.

Or it's your body screaming for junk food. Let it scream.

I agree with the post above. It's normal to get headaches. It's your body's reaction to the change you're putting it through. Mine lasted a few days and I haven't had them since. Don't worry about it. Keep doing what you're doing and pop an Advil =)
  • ok...i drink soda maybe once a week. i don't keep it in the house. all we drink is water. i was a dental assistant..i know and have seen what soda does to teeth. i drink a lot tea (de-caffinated) of course. but i used to use a lot of salt and butter when cooking. now i don't.
  • and when i do drink soda....i water it down. and it's usually diet.
  • i have never gotten these headaches but i hear they are normal

What did you remove from your diet? What did you add to your diet? Is it just migraines or "brain fogs" and gastro issues, too?

Watered down soda?? Sounds strange...but I guess the same thing happens if you put ice cubes in your drink and they melt down....

When I started doing this (SERIOUSLY) on MFP, I remember having incredibly bad headaches. I just took an ibuprofen, drank a bunch of water and tried to rest. They have definitely subsided, but I still get them sometimes (usually when I haven't eaten much), so I'll have a small snack.
