Hi, I am a 62 year old man that just went through a calorie deficit to lose a total of 50lbs. Now trying to maintain my current weight with continuing to track my food.

Congratulations on the loss! That's about how much I lost around 10 years ago. I'm using MFP for maintenance now, as you're planning to do. In my case, so far, so good: I'm still at a healthy weight, still in the same jeans size. It can work, and IMO it's a lot like weight loss: If we commit to the process, we can make it happen.
