Michieb125 - I like your idea, rain tonight so baking apple cake. Light weights on hold, dr told me not to even bring groceries or laundry up the stairs LOL

HappyDonkey75 - Hope you're feeling better, recovering from travel is hard enough and getting sick on top of that is awful. Take whatever rest you can!

Kupla71 - I negotiate with myself to do things too, always happy when I make myself go but it is hard to make it happen.

Had a blood transfusion last Tue and have felt pretty darn good since. May have another Thur this week then traveling Monday to NYC for two follow up appts.

Missed yesterday because I was up most the night coughing the night before and was just having a rough morning

I finally did get started on some antibiotics. Its probably not related because I only havehad a day's worth of drugs in my system , but I think I am starting to turn the corner with this sickness. Good grief its a killer..going to call it the Iceland Death Virus because I have been been half afraid I was dying and half afraid I wouldn't.. :)

I really really need to get feeling well enough to get going with workouts again. I feel jiggly and gross..and I know I am losing muscle. Its maddening to not have enough energy at the end of the work day to do anything but lay on the couch for an hour before I muster the strength to get evening horse chores done. It doesn't help that I also doctoring on one of my horses right now who decided to injure his leg.The energy zap with this virus has been hard.

Mom and dad leave for the trip back to AZ in the morning so I will say my goodbye's tonight.

I had my sleep clinic follow up appointment and discovered I have gained 2 lbs since I went to the sleep lab. That’s not bad. I was expecting more. The doctor said I only need to see her again if I gain a lot of weight. Well, that’s not going to happen!

@michieb125 Thanks! I’m still lacking in motivation but I’ve been getting done what I need to.

@tishsmith101 My whole week has been not wanting to do anything. I’m happy too when I get things done.

I don't know what is happening with the scale drops. I am not complaining but I am not sure why its dropping when I am really not trying. I suppose I am still in a bit of a calorie deficit although I am trying to do better, but I am in one of those phases where nothing seems appealing so I am eating just to eat. Nothing tastes all that great. I honestly think I am dealing with some depression as much as I hate to admit that.

Yesterday was the first day since I have been back from vacation that I could say I felt like was feeling better from this virus. I am still dealing with coughing fits and a hoarse voice but I think the fog is beginning to lift.

Got to see mom and dad last night. They leave early this am. Mom was tearful , which breaks my heart, dad was holding it together. I hate to see them leave.

Hello everyone, I haven’t deserted the group 😊. So much that I’ve had going on. Due to a redundancy earlier in the year, needed to sell our beautiful rural property. Everything settled last week, we moved out, did a decent trip (road and across sea), moved to a new place and I started a new job, that I am so grateful for, all within a few days. The scale is packed away, in storage as part of the move. I am trying to manage my slight anxiety about not being able to weigh, as well as not being able to move nearly as much - I went from LOTS of daily walking to an office job with longer hours.

I’m extremely grateful though for what I have and am positive about this new journey that life is taking me on. 😊

I’m cheering you all on from the sidelines and hope to be actively involved again soon.

Lots of support and encouragement to you all - take care of yourselves and smash those goals!! πŸ’›πŸŒŸπŸ’«

@SuperMotivated56 Wow! You’ve had a lot going on! Congratulations on your new job! Take care of yourself during all this transition. It can be stressful even if the changes are positive. You’ll find new ways to be active. Did you move far away or are you in the same area?

I took the subway home from my art class and they missed my stop! I thought someone had screwed up but I watched the news when I got home and found out there was a stabbing at my stop! So I guess there were no stops at my stop while the police dealt with it. I ended up walking home from another stop so got a good half hour walk plus the half hour walk I got earlier.

@Kupla71 thank you for your support and encouragement. I have at least got access to a few staircases, so try and take the stairs when the opportunity presents itself - although not ideal in high heels πŸ‘  I have moved to a completely different area, so everything is entirely new and unfamiliar to me. I’m trying not to get overwhelmed by all the changes and just taking it one day at a time 😊

I feel good with all the weight I’ve lost and I feel great in my clothes, but the weight has been stuck for three months now and I honestly don’t know what to do. I’ve tried a few things that haven’t worked and I’ve met with my doctor and naturopath. I can’t seem to get unstuck.

@SuperMotivated56 - goodness, that is a big change! what part of the country are you in these days? (assuming your in the US but maybe not!) Sounds like you took advantage of some down time in between and now your settling in to all new things. Congrats on the new job and hope to see you out here again once your into a routine. Moving is hard and it sounds like yours was a big one!

@MercyRoth - I hate when that happens especially when you have tried multiple things that should do the trick and still don't. Hoping your naturopath has some good suggestions for you.

Now that I am consistently eating more normally and all my GI issues seem to have settled down I am not surprised to see things going back up a bit. Just hope they don't go up too much . Its a good reason to start tracking again and not let that get away from me. I did get in a 30 minute walk on Wed on my treadmill during a meeting and yesterday I did just a few legs exercises so I am easing back in. I could tell my quads were not wanting to fire on the leg extension machine and I had to drop the weight a bit. Motivation still lacking so its going to be a discipline mind set.

Mom and dad arrived safely back to their home in AZ yesterday evening. I miss them but I think in many ways they are glad to be back there . There are more people around for them to talk to where they live in the community then they had here.

    Happy Friday everyone

@HappyDonkey75 thank you for your well wishes and encouragement. I’m really trying to get into some new habits with regards to what I’m eating and when, particularly as I can’t do too much at the moment with regards to other factors, including exercise. I am actually not in the US, but lovely New Zealand and my move entailed moving from the South Island, to the North Island 😊
