natural peanut butter and apples has become my favorite snack in the afternoons. I get these almond thins from Walmart that taste good. I grab a handful there when I need something salty.

I usually keep almonds at my desk.
love baby carrots! When I have time, I’ll roll up Genoa salami, maybe 3 slices and eat those.

try roasting spaghetti squash and use it in place of pasta. Snack on fresh veggies and Greek yogurt dip (easy to make), apple slices, yogurt, almonds, I also like low sodium V8 juice, mozzarella sticks

There's tons of different options for both healthy snacks and meals that you can use.

Read around, especially some of the meal posts and you'll find a lot of great ideas.

    In general:

    1. Add more vegetables to your meals. If you make 1/2 your plate nonstarchy veggies that are cooked without butter/oil (or not cooked at all) it will fill you up as well as give your great fiber, vitamins and minerals.
    2. Learn to cook with little to no oil or additives. We are used to fatty and salty food these days and you might need to decrease this little by little to help adjust your taste buds
    3. Same thing with sweets. We are used to sugary sweets, but fruit is a great dessert option instead. Try subbing out some of your sweets for natural fruits until you tend to like them more. I got rasberries on sale last week, and they have been my dessert several nights. I find that sugar sweetened stuff is actually too sweet for me now.
    4. Be a little careful with 'low fat' options of normal foods. Read the labels carefully, they might not be lower in calories - companies have to do something to make them tasty!
    5. Try to go for more whole foods instead of packaged ones. For instance, instead of premade marinara sauce, I make my own at home. No sugar, and I can control the salt level and change up the spices a bit.
