Nothing impressive here yesterday but Congrats Scott and MaryMary on the races! I think I am just like your niece Scott. I get panicked if someone runs "with me" when I know they really need to go ahead. It is PTSD from Army running formations I am sure. LOL.

Nice cheesecake Tarun and good for you getting a workout in before another flight. Looking forward to Panama photos. You know that CinabON was named after me right?

Great job on the tennis tourny this weekend Quilter. When I retire I am going to have to learn how to sleep in a little I guess altho running in the dark and dawn has always been my "thing" for some reason. I guess because people can't see the details of me?

Thanks for the Kudo Chris! I still think that streaking is a GOOD motivation to get me out the door for runs or walks but learning that I can NOT streak and not give up entirely is a whole nother lesson for me.

Kgirl I see a lot of people out in the dark in the street with no lights in the mornings and it is a little scary because well neighborhood and distracted driving etc… But what I don't like the most are the kids on bikes going to school with no flashers or lights. At least most of them have helmets tho.

Renner, Mack looks like a great companion for walking and jogging!

I am up to 81 miles walking and running out of 120 goal. I was just POOPED yesterday after a 5 mile run, 1 mile walk AND tennis on Friday so I ran a mile and took the rest of the day pretty much off. I did not even go out or talk to anyone all day I think. Got some chores done and gardening tho.

Still enjoying the Heavenly blues in the mornings. They should keep me smiling until the first frost. If that ever shows up.

it is fall in texas? How would I know?

Hi @polskagirl01 we were just mentioning you the other day and wondering how you were doing! They have been making a bunch of changes on the app recently but not sure what type phone you have. Probably the std glitchy stuff. Hope you are able to start logging again easily. I did not really like loseit when I tried it after the newsfeed went away,

    Great running @nossmf , @WarmJellyfish , @username301

@Scott6255 I think that is a great result and pace, esp. considering you held back the first 4 miles. So glad to hear that you brother is doing so well and walked the 5K! Amazing.

Thanks for the cheesecake picture @tarun_yadavA . I hope it was as delicious as it looks! I found out there is a cheesecake factory in Knoxville. We thought we would get to go there after some of the tennis matches, but never made it. 🙄 Glad you got a workout in, even though it is not fair that you burned 631 calories going 2.21 miles! I would have burned about 220. Great Panama City Run-See too!

Great running @kgirlhart . I'm glad that the cross country team is doing something to be more visible. I'm hoping my mileage will creep up without me noticing. So far, it seems to be creeping down without me noticing. 😂

Great running @ContraryMaryMary . Looks like a great spot for an after run recovery. As for yesterday, at least you got it done and didn't sit on the couch.

@SummerSkier "You know that CinabON was named after me right?" 🤣😂 Thanks for the kudos on the tennis. You know, if you enjoy getting up early, good for you. Sometimes I wish I did, but I just don't. Staying up late is my thing. Great mileage so far this month! BTW, we had our first frost (spotty) this morning. I finally turned my heater on.

Thanks @Teresa502 . You are doing great with your race prep! You are going to do great. Was the person screaming at you, or just screaming? That would be creepy in the dark. Glad you had a friend running with you.

I hope you can get out and run @angf0679 . I'm pulling for you.

@polskagirl01 I haven't had an issue like that. Wonder what that's all about? I'm glad that you have decided to try logging again and have seen on Strava where you got in some nice walks. I hope you continue to improve. Lovely leaf.

Well, I think I am all caught up after the weekend of tennis. I'll try to update my status with "all" of the details tonight. I'm working today…currently watching the kids sleep…so don't have all the info with me. You have all been doing great!

Awww thanks for thinking of me 😊 It's usually too hard for me to come in here and see everyone running and in such beautiful places - mixed with me being SO happy you're all able to do it. But I do miss you all and our fun conversations!

So I tried again later and it let me back into the app, and I was able to log and pre-log the main meals I've planned for the week. But WOW it sure is buggy. Took me a while to figure out you probably meant "standard" bugs and not that MFP has an std, hahaha.

I also found LoseIt OK for a while, but preferred to come back and try MFP. I had been periodically updating weight in both apps, so have my whole history in MFP, might as well stay unless the bugs get too bad.

They were just screaming in general. When we saw the guy, he was walking towards an SUV in a parking lot. After the run when I drove past that area on my way to work, there was a young girl who looked to be in high school standing outside the SUV talking with guy and she looked pretty happy and giggly. My guess is she told her mom she had to be at school early and then took a little detour to see the bf.😉

Looks like you are having fun in Panama @tarun_yadavA Enjoy ALL the food 😁

Hi @polskagirl01 👋 Welcome back. You've been missed!

Wanted to see if anyone is considering the College Station Marathon/Half Marathon December 14. In the beginning of the year I planned on running the full, but at best I think I could only do the Half, as my injuries have taken so long to heal and my cardio is 💩
    It's not cheap ($150/$135) respectively.

But I would consider it if others will be there 😉

Nice to see you making progress…I'm out on this race. It would be fun to see some of us gathering for a race.

    Canada? The UK? Vegas?

@polskagirl01 I'm glad you were able to get into the MFP diary. I hope you will hope on the forum every once in a while to let us know how you are doing….glad we are friends on other social media so we don't lose touch completely.

Great job hanging in there @TheMrWobbly .

Glad your run went well @yirara.

@Teresa502 Sounds like a teenager. I hope she doesn't get in trouble (lots of ways to do so with that scenerio).

I had thought about it @Scott6255 . Not sure I could be ready for a HM by then. Do you know when the cutoff to register is?

    40.90/80.00 mile goal

    Posting three uneventful walking days.

Saturday, I was early enough to the first tennis match, that I went ahead and did a mile on the trail that borders the courts before my first match. No running, since I was going to be playing tennis soon.

Sunday, I did a treadmill walk after I got home from the tennis tournament and a late lunch. It was surprisingly hard to do.

Today, I did a driveway walk after I got home from my annual doctor's appointment and work. I did run a little of it, just to get done quicker. I would have gone further, but I had some things I HAD to get done tonight, so didn't have time for more.

I will put a few details of tennis and the doctor in the spoiler so you can skip it if you want.

The doctor stuff is at the bottom in case tennis talk is a foreign language to you.

Saturday, after my walk, my partner for the tennis match was a different person than I had played with on Friday. I had played with this lady before, but it has been a while. She is ranked 3.5, but I didn't feel she was playing at that level…sometimes we all have a bad day. But, I am in awe of her getting out there and playing at this level because she is 85 years old and does great!!! We just didn't play well together (couldn't get it together) and lost 2-6, 1-6. Every court from our team lost this match. It made me feel better later when I found out that the team we played hadn't lost a single set yet.

The afternoon match, I got to play with the lady I played with on Friday again. She had a hard time at the beginning of the match, but I was playing okay, so we were able to hang in there. We got down in the first set 2-5. I told her, "they won 4 in a row, we can too." We wound up winning that set 7-5!

The next match we were both playing better and we won it 6-4. Our team also won the match…I think all three courts, but not positive.

It was hot for that one…80F (27C) at the beginning. The tournament ran out of bottled water. I thought I would need more, but had plenty. They did have a place to fill up a bottle, but I had just used bottled water and thrown my bottles away! All was good in the end.

At the end of the day we were in third place (for the 65 and over team) and had to play the # 4 team on Sunday in order to either stay third or go to fourth. We were scheduled for 11:30 on Sunday morning.

I didn't get up until 7 on Sunday, and when I checked my phone, they had moved our match up to 10:30, indoors, due to rain. I had to rush to get ready in time to make it there in time.

I got to play with the same lady again (the one that we play well together). We had to play short sets since they had to get everyone's games in by 3 pm. Again, we had a really good match and the people we played against were really fun.

Both sets, we were tied at 3-3, so had to play a 5 point tie break with weird rules. Fortunately, there was an umpire there to help us out with the rules for that…the written rules were confusing. We wound up being tied at 4-4 for both tie breaks too, so had to do the weird 5th point sudden death type point. (Spin for serve. Whoever wins decides to serve or receive. The team that serves can decide who is going to serve on their team. Then the other team gets to decide who receives that serve.) Unfortunately, we also lost both tie breaks! But, it really was fun and it wound up taking us almost an hour and a half to finish. A full match would have been fun, but really long, I imagine.

Fortunately, the other two courts won, both in a match tie break (which was a normal one). So we wound up in third place! We really weren't expecting that.

I was really pleased with the fact that I felt like I played well all weekend. Others that watched the matches thought I did too and said I hit a lot of really good balls. That's always nice to get those complements.

Now for the doctor's appointment today. Everything looked good. My BP was really good this morning. My weight was up just a little, but I think it was partly because I ate some salty stuff last night. I shouldn't have the night before seeing the doctor, but I was really craving salty food.

There was nothing he was concerned about, so I don't have to go back for a year, unless I get sick. He does want me to get the flu, pneumonia, and tetanus shots. I didn't get any of them today because I was am a little sniffly from allergies and just didn't want to chance getting sick from already being a little bit run down.

Good morning! I ran my usual 5 mile route this morning with a couple of friends. No screamers today.

Do you like Panama or Costa Rica best @tarun_yadavA ? Is Panama more "citified"?

@quilteryoyo - Your tennis weekend sounds like it was fun and glad you got a good doctor's report. Let me know what you decide about College Station!

@tarun_yadavA your purple shirt looks perfectly matched with that Panama sign in your selfie. And that food looks really good. Enjoy!

@quilteryoyo I love the tennis recaps! And I'll try to stop by from time to time.

    Happy running, everyone!
