Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
to have a totally 10-day binge free round.

10/17 DNW – 3.85 miles walked after we’d arrived on site for long weekend break. Can’t say I’m not disappointed at the “lack of progress” this round, need to work harder next.

10/18 DNW – 13.32 miles walked yesterday along the canal towpath to Melksham, today we head in the other direction to Devizes.
10/19 DNW – 10.68 miles walked, it was a wonderful walk along the tow path at the side of Caen Hill flight of locks in the magnificent autumnal tree colours.
10/20 DNW - a very wet day, so we visited Lacock Abbey & village, very pretty, use as film sets for Harry Potter, Cranmore, Pride & Prejudice & more.
10/21 DNW -13.01 miles walked, we donned our waterproofs and braved the rain, luckily there was not too much!

10/20 DNW10/21 173.2 I’m fighting the good fight to make my last round just a blip on my graph. It stinks, I’d rather eat cider donuts.
I did get a bit snacky after dinner but kept it to a small serving of trail mix. I have ingredients prepped for protein packed big salad dinners the next few nights.
As the temperature drops I made a game plan to finish 90% of my clients within the next two weeks while squeezing in two small projects I couldn’t say no to. I’m not ready for the season to be over this year but it’s coming quick!Boxing tonight, only one more week until we break until January. It’s hard to get there after a long day but I’m always so happy I did.

10/18 got up too early this morning & then forgot to weigh. (I raced to turn on a tennis match and got lost in the match!) Enjoyed 🚶♀️💗5 mi WV trek. Tucker, soccer, late burgers (no bun). Positive day. Inexplicable ailing shoulder & wrist so I did not 🏋️♀️. Will try today. A celebratory dinner tonight – planning ahead. I’m trying not to beat myself up for not being able to lose 2 to 3 pounds… What gives? 10/2024 @ 128lbs for a solid few mos . 10/2023 @ 131lbs same . Now is the time. I realize that it’s not that big of a deal - it’s more the mental gymnastics & challenge just to “BE” where I am the most comfortable & confident. Want to reduce BF% and building strength on this journey. Good luck to everyone this round!
10/19 same as yesterday.… I got up to watch a tennis match AGAIN at 4AM and DNW. Yesterday: only 🚶♀️7k - perfect nutrition until dinner. Splurged & ordered butternut squash risotto with brown butter. At least I ate only half. Divine. Reminded me of how much I love food. I really, really LOVE FOOD. ok, ok…Back to mindful discipline. Ready to nail the next eight days!
*** saw an interesting take yesterday on how to “reframe” “goals”. Instead of, “my goal is to lose 2 pounds… “ or “goal is to work out twice this week”. Think of it as: I have DECIDED to lose 2 lbs and work out twice this week. Reframing “goals” as “decisions” changes your mindset & actions. I’ve “decided” to implement this “nuance” moving forward! Yesterday was almost a complete failure when it came to proper attitude about health. I didn’t log yesterday’s food until this morning (I think I remembered it all.) Portion sizes fell into the “this might be my last meal” category. I mindlessly munched the candy at the barber shop (as is my custom for 30 years. UPF foul.) I did get some really good exercise in. And to top it off, my digestion system is asleep at the wheel.Welcome to a new round!

Amazing what can happen with effort.Confession: I am surrounded by (and judgmental of) family members who are paying a high price for their poor health decisions. They are thriving rent-free in my head as I think about ways of taking control of their situations. What a fool I am! How about if I just keep my eyes on the mirror and take control of THAT situation?
P.S. I will avoid the rear-view-mirror.

10/21/2025 - 207 I redid my workout and food plans over the weekend and yesterday got my first workout in. Before Covid, I used to go to the gym and workout with heavy weights about 2 to 3 days a week and do a fitness class (Les Mills Body Pump) every Tuesday and Thursday evening. When I look back on pictures of me then, I can't believe how in shape I was but I didn't see it then. I would love to get back to that! Once Covid hit and the gyms shut down, I bought a squat rack and weights for my home and started working out in the garage. I also signed up for Les Mills on demand so I could continue the body pump classes. Unfortunately, I never stuck to it and the weight slowly came back on. It gets really hot in my garage (Florida here) so I haven't used it much but am determined to get back at it! Yesterday was my first heavy weight session and I am feeling it today and I know it will be even worse tomorrow, lol! I miss working out and I have let the length of time and extra weight I gained intimidate me from starting again. Today is Tuesday so I plan on doing a body pump session once I get home from work.

10/19 – 195.8 – wow, didn’t see this coming. Yesterday was a good day. Ended up chatting with an old co-worker, we agreed to keep in better contact. I am so happy with myself. I didn’t have any junk food yesterday.
10/20 – 194.8 – wow again not sure that I believe that this is real. Last night I worked the Halloween Spooktacular. Had a good time watching the young kids run and laugh at all the displays. I will be working it again on Friday night.
10/21 – 195.4 – up today but still down for the week. I worked the municipal election last night as a counter. We were down by midnight. I didn’t sleep that well after getting home so today is going to be a very chill day.

We finally are getting some rain—yay! Good day to make the soup I’ve been threatening to make for a while, but it just wasn’t soup weather. Going with veggie soup with lots of veggies and some red lentil rotini for protein. I like to freeze & bag “soup muffins” to pull out and microwave for quick, low-cal lunches. DH and I planted about 80 bulbs yesterday for our friends—wasn’t too bad with the drill bit made for that, although we were both whipped when we got home! I hope you’re all having a great weekend!

10/20-183.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 183.7) I’m shedding most of the all-you-can-eat buffet bloat from the other day. Hopefully I can string some days together this week which always makes such a big difference. Tonight is this month’s book club meeting. Other than that 90 minutes of sitting, I plan on getting a lot of movement in doing lots of needed housework.
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 10/21-185.2 ❌ (Trend Weight: 183.8) Dang, dang and triple dang! Last night at 6:00 pm I went to the book club meeting and a birthday girl brought dinner and cupcakes for us all. Another brought cute little boxes filled with home baked goods. The meal wasn’t any bigger than a “normal” non-dieting person would eat. However, way to many calories and carbs for my plan right now. It’s amazing how I can slide up & down between 181.X and 185.X so easily. I truly hate that a “regular meal” can do this much damage although I know all the reasons for it. I’m not stepping out of my house today (except maybe to plant a few bulbs). No stores, absolutely no restaurants although I must admit that I have a dinner date with a friend tomorrow for a restaurant with something new on the menu that everyone is raving about. Nothing fancy but something I haven’t had in years. We’ll see how I feel about it after weighing in tomorrow. I hate to cancel last minute but I will reschedule if that scale doesn’t go down some in the morning.

10/18- DNW10/19- DNW10/20- 169.510/21- 168.6 - Very happy to see this! I was off on macros but kept my deficit nonetheless with mindful choices and minimizing processed foods. I'm really trying my best to make my diet 80-90% whole foods and only supplement with processed as needed. With that said, this month has been challenging to keep whole foods since I'm trying to include volume eating and much of that is fruits and veg AKA perishables. Not ideal when traveling frequently. After my trip next week, I'll focus on making sure my grocery trip has plenty of fruit/veg and volume snacks to help me keep deficit. For now, I'm relying on frozen fruit/veg to take the load making it hard to snack if I haven't already planned it and thawed the appropriate portion. Gym this morning and feeling good about today's food/water intake.2 -
