Yesterday afternoon was really busy and I never got myself in to the workout room until nearly 7:00 pm which was a drag. (but I got something done and that's better than nothing)

Since being on the elliptical makes my feet go numb after about 15 minutes I decided to go down the driveway and up the hill on our road. I would have gone farther but it was getting rather dark . My step count on my watch was skewed because I rode my horse for 20 minutes and my watch counted those steps .. oops.. I ended up with a total of over 12K steps total so I would guess I actually got 8-9K steps of my own.

    Happy Humpday everyone

I’m fasting today in preparation for a colonoscopy. It hasn’t been nearly as hard as I thought it would be. It makes me realize that I can survive hunger! Tomorrow I continue with my fast. I probably won’t be able to eat anything till about 4pm. I will let this be a lesson in discipline. If I can go for almost 2 days having nothing but broth and Gatorade and water and diet ginger ale, I can be disciplined about eating below my calorie goal.

I stopped taking rybelsus about a week and a half ago and have not experienced an increase in appetite. I am so relieved about that.

@HappyDonkey75 I used to get that elliptical feet falling asleep thing too. I found I had to wear slightly looser shoes on it plus keep my feet at the back of the pedals. I feel feel the tingling if they crept toward the front of the pedals.

Ok, still here and in limbo of sorts. 3 different kinds of chemo did not give the remission results hoped for to proceed with transplant so immunotherapy is next. The medical team will be making a plan next week. Nurse called yesterday with way too much info and I had to ask her to wait until we know a definitive option first. Otherwise, feeling good, spirits are up and still no issues with my appetite LOL. I weighed myself for the first time in a few weeks, 167.5 so I'm maintaining from last month's hospital loss.

Increase in weight part of the normal course of hormones, working on flushing the water out. @tishsmith101 good to hear from you although I’m sorry the results are not what you’d hoped. Wishing you strength in your next step

Hi all. I’ve been thinking about the holiday season because believe it or not the Christmas decorations are up in south east London where I live!! This seems crazy early to me. Anyways, I am considering whether to diet or maintain over the seasonal period. I’m thinking I’ll try and continue to lose. Has anyone else thought about their plans.

@tishsmith101 - ok I will try that tip next time with keeping my feet back further. That's interesting that foot placement would make a difference. I do keep my shoes tied tight so maybe will adjust that as well. i am sorry your treatments didn't yield the results you were hoping for but happy to hear your feeling well overall given what your going through. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

@Kupla71 - wow impressive that you aren't feeling hungry with that much time fasting. I am pretty sure I would die, even being on glp-1. (which I am starting to wean down on)Good luck with that not so fun procedure. I opted for the at home 💩 in a bucket thing.. but I don't have family history so for now it was an option. Less embarrassing overall until you have to walk into the shipping office and hand them a box of your own poo..💩💩 I mean its concealed and not obvious but still…🙈. The whole concept of it all had me in stitches. I laughed the whole way home after dropping mine off..

So yesterday's workout was a bust. Something came up and I had to help my hubby with a pre winter project here on the place before we lost daylight. I think I got 4 exercises in before I had to step away. I intended to come back and finish but our chore took longer than expected and by the time we got back in the house, it was after 7 and dinner hadn't been made. Luckily I did get time on my walking pad during the work day.

@tishsmith101 Sorry the chemo didn’t give you great results. Hopefully the immunotherapy will be the thing that works. Good to hear you’re feeling good and your spirits are up.

@HappyDonkey75 I mailed in my poo too! The results from that came back abnormal so I had to have a colonoscopy. I had my colonoscopy today. It wasn’t pleasant but the doctors and nurses were very nice. They gave me a heated blanket and afterwards I got ginger ale and cookies. I was completely awake during the procedure and could see everything on a monitor in front of me. The doctor removed 4 polyps, including one very large one! He’s sending them to a lab to get tested. I should get my results in a couple of weeks.

@Kupla71 - Yes, when you get those readings, its onto the big procedure..I am glad it went well.I don't think I'd want to be awake! Hoping for good results.

I have not popped on since I was gone over the weekend . It was a really nice time and we both enjoyed the time to relax.

Early last week I started experiencing some GI pain, thought it was just gas or something. Felt like a really bad side stitch to be honest. As the week went on it continued to hang around. I was not eating well (as I had no appetite and would get overly full after only a few bites). By the weekend, I was down to eating barely anything and couldn't even enjoy my lovely steak dinner sat night at the restaurant.

So the weight loss is now getting a bit concerning because its not for the right reasons .

LST, I went back into urgent care yesterday to see what is going on with this unrelenting abdominal pain, being worried about gall bladder or something more serious I have no appendix so that wasn't a concern. Anyways I spent the day waiting on labs and they ordered a CT scan in the afternoon. Mainly I was concerned about gall bladder because all the pain in located right in that area. The good news is that everything came back mostly normal. The bad news was that she really had no answers to explain my symptoms other than the CT scan results stated some indication of mild colitis.

When I pressed the PA ,who saw me and was handling my case, on why am I have such pain she really had no suggestions other than try taking omeprazole and stay on a liquid diet for the next few days to give my bowel some rest.

She said the only other thing she could offer was referring me to a GI. I didn't take her up on it at the time but over night, thinking about it and continuing to be in pain, I changed my mind and will be calling back. My sister who is a nurse asked me if they tested me for C. Diff. Of course, the answer was no and as we talked, I was like.. why the heck didn't they? I meet all the symptoms. I have been on two separate rounds of antibiotics , and have been dealing with the not so fun bathroom issues where nothing stays in my system which is why the weight is falling off. So now I am just annoyed. So I will be getting on the phone again and asking them to call in a C. Diff test kit. My sister thinks they should approve it but we will see if they give my trouble.
