And… when I let the world work the way it's working, instead of pushing, things go better.
So, firstly, the two little dudes that tore the oven apart were both pretty obviously stoned, and had been smoking in the truck, you could smell it all over them. Not a path to get on my husband's good side, as he deals with that in his business already. The young men that work for the landscaping business, the ones who break all the equipment he fixes for a living, come to work to get enough money to buy their drug of choice, and call in sick half the rest of the time.
Secondly, it cost $44 for the "service call," and that was just them tearing apart the oven - they didn't hurt anything, they just spread it all over the kitchen. Then they gave us a quote for $160 for the new igniter (and even showed my husband online the price), cited it would be a week before they'd get it in, and $200 for the work to put in a new one.
Then I wrote them the money for the service call and he sent them on their (very) merry way, never to return. Then Corey swapped the igniter for the broiler, which we seldom use, for the one in the oven, which we use quite a bit, and put it all back together, and now the oven works fine. And I ordered a new igniter for the broiler from Amazon for $30. No joke. It will be here Friday. If it works, we'll buy a second one to have for when it goes out again, as they usually do.
The little stoned people never even thought of that as an option to get us through Thanksgiving - the swap with the broiler. Never occurred to them to check.
I'm not blaming it all, or even part of it, on the generation.
I am just incredibly grateful I married the man I married. Had I been by myself, I would, in all likelihood, have bought a new range and paid $700 instead of the total of $74 that it cost us, in the end.
Here's the deal, though. My comment to Corey was that we added a few dollars to the local economy and still got a working oven at the end of the day, even without their help. Because I am not beyond goosing him a little, I also bowed deeply to Corey, and told him "I am not worthy." 😂🙇🏻♀️🥰
Maybe he will think I've grown spiritually.
I have my doubts.
Later, y'all,
Love,
Lisa in AR11 -
Lisa … I'm confused. What was the advantage of calling an appliance repairman and why can't you just order an ignitor for the Samsung? I took a quick look and see them on Amazon and scores of appliance parts sites. My husband orders parts for all of our appliances now that they're out of warranty. (Disclaimer: he was an appliance repairman for years and we owned our on appliance repair company for a while). AI … not fascinating … terrifying. The jacket you're working on … I favor the second one and look forward to seeing one that drapes more.
Ceilings … the family and living room ceilings have popcorn ceilings. I painted over one of them and rounded the popcorn. The other has metallic sparkles which my husband loves and since it's in "his" family room they are still there. The ceiling I really dislike is in our bedroom where the former owner decided to do their own "stucco" treatment on the ceilings and walls. They were not professionals … let's leave it at that.
Tracey … so sorry you fell! You are overtired and now you have enforced rest. I'm sure you're doing this, but just a reminder … document every financial action you take for your MIL as her POA. Sadly, your in-laws appear to be the sort that might come after you when MIL passes. In case you haven't heard it enough … you are doing an amazing job for your MIL!
I tried to get too much done yesterday and, of course, everything took two times longer than usual. By the time I got home in the afternoon it was dark and I wanted to get my trunk unloaded quickly. Picked up a paper bag wrong and the paper ripped. As luck would have it, the bag contained glass jars and one pickle jar smashed into smithereens. My husband and I were outside for a while picking up glass and then scrubbing the driveway. Arghh.
Snow is setting up in the lake bands for Thanksgiving Day here near Buffalo. I assured my mom yesterday that we would be with her for Thanksgiving unless roads are closed as we have a 4-wheel drive truck and SUV. We've had Thanksgivings where everything comes to a standstill, but I'm counting on it not being nearly as bad as they're hoping/predicting (yes, Buffalo loves good storms). Raining today and the temperatures are dropping.

cut workout short, one of my brothers called 2c if I wanted to meetup for breakfast, my sister and her husband were also in town so we all met up, that was nice. He doesn’t start his radiation until they come back from Costa Rica after the first of the year. Doc okayed it.

My poor nephew is not feeling well, scratchy throat ,so im staying away he will be driving to Connecticut Tommorow

ooooh today was yogurt for breakfast, lunch was chicken broth with 2 oz cubed kielbasa sausage fried up and put in, also in with about 5 (100 grams) of premade mushroom ravioli pillows. Yummy! Dinner is 1 bag of spinach 1/2 tbsp butter, yellow onions and 6 oz of tip steak cut thin. Then a chocolate pudding cup! Sipping my tea early today.👍🏼💖
Everything came out to 1100 calories, but substantial. I like my choices these days. I have already planned out Thanksgiving! Getting most of all I want, plus a fairly hefty slice of turkey!

After work got my car inspected. I really like this place where I now go. You don’t have to make an appt., it’s right next to BK so I can go after work, they aren’t in the business to sell you tires/windshield wipers/anything else. So they don’t pressure you to buying something. Then went to WalMart to get the celery and some lettuce, then to the dollar store to get a sympathy card.
Came home and made an apple pie. It’s started raining again so I’ll probably brown the sausage for the stuffing and just put it in the refrig.
Oh, how our children can hurt us! How many times I’ve cried and cried. Not letting them see me. I’ve also found praying to be helpful.
Tracey -I hope you’re not in too much pain tomorrow. It usually takes a day or so to feel pain after a fall. Honestly, I don’t trust MIL’s daughter and gd, but I can see your point that she’d feel bad if she thought they didn’t have any food. Can you perhaps send them a LITTLE from the sale of the tractor? An early Christmas gift, perhaps?
Deb – I hate that popcorn ceiling, too and can’t wait to get rid of it. I plan to use Vince’s allergy to cat dander as the reason we HAVE to get rid of it. Now is it in the ceiling? Probably. But I still think that’s a great reason to get rid of it
Rebecca – I think part of the problem is that Jess doesn’t truly appreciate how much work goes into things like putting out the Christmas decorations. She may think that it’s just taking down the blowmolds and putting them out. No….there’s staking them, then wiring them up. Then Vince (I don’t get involved in this part) has to figure out which controller it plugs into, etc. I just don’t know enough about electricity to do this I also think she doesn’t truly appreciate how much goes into T dinner. When we’d have it at her place, she’d have the turkey defrosting in the sink. You don’t do that because bacteria grows. You defrost it in the refrigerator. Like I’m brining the turkey in the refrigerator. The pies are in there and we’re going to have leftovers so that I have room for the casseroles. I don’t like to do the entire meal the day of. I like to have some things made ahead of time. Also, I try to make foods that others will eat. She’d have corn. She likes corn and she knows Vince likes it. I’m just not big on it. I made a pumpkin pie for C and myself, an apple pie for C, me, and Vince, but then I made a chocolate cake so J will have something to eat. Another thing...J keeps saying that it’s cheaper to buy in bulk. Yes, it is...except if you wind up throwing things out because you didn’t eat them in time. Are we really going to finish 3lbs of grapes?
Just took Ganon for a walk. I had my umbrella so when it started to rain, I stayed dry. Normally, I walk in the rain anyway. Just finished browning the sausage
Lisa – Vince likes to fix things himself, too. One thing I’ve found is that when you do it yourself, you take extra steps that a contractor might not.

Tracey-Can you use a delivery service to deliver groceries to them? Then you’re not enabling them by giving them cash. Alternatively, send them a gift card to a grocery store or market. I’d avoid sending cash at all costs.
Sorry about your fall! Rest up and take it easy. Put your oxygen mask on first.Carol-I don’t have advice on meeting people. I have tried and failed many times. My grandfather loved to go sit on the bench at the front of Walmart and talk to people as they walked by. It was a bit of socializing. He also sat on his front porch a lot and neighbors would stop by just to chat for a minute. Maybe you can meet your neighbors that way? Hugs.
That’s it for now. Happy Thanksgiving to those who participate.Tina in CA

Quick comment regarding AI ... I have experimented with it to find out about a few different things and discovered that the articles AI used to get the information were often old. It often pulled its information from articles dated 2015 and earlier.
The second most common sources, from my little experiments, were blogs. Sometimes blogs can be good, but anyone can write a blog and they are often basically opinion pieces. They aren't good sources for something that needs to be well researched.
I'm guessing that older articles and blogs are the most easily accessed sources which might be why AI picks them up.
I have found that our own Google searches can produce better results.
That said, I did try out Copilot (which I have found to be slightly better than ChatGPT) to write an email for me, and it did produce some different ways to say things. I ended up going with a few of its suggestions.

Machka - you’re right, they need to learn not to manipulate her and to support themselves.
Kylia - I love when you are active on here.
Ovens and holidays - when my dad passed a lady came up to us at the visitation and told us a story about dad going to replace an element on her stove on Christmas Day. She said, he took the element right out of your mother’s stove! We always ate Christmas at Grammie’s so that made sense to us, but she was just amazed he did that.
I think I need a new element in my Ben right now, but thanks to my dad I know how to do that myself.Heather - That bottle is gorgeous!
Lanette - unfortunately I don’t think she will ever be out from under the debt they’ve caused. It’s a sin really.
Her daughter a couple of weeks ago said she was paying one bill because she was trying to save her credit. 😂
I just kept my mouth shut! I’ve been doing that a lot!
That freezer door had to open at some point.Lisa - My MIL enjoyed your oven tale today. Crazy what people charge for these things.
Beth - I have already started a file system. I need to get a bit more detailed on it. I have to go this week to get added on the bank account. It is her and DH’s name, but it’s easier for me to just go when I need to to get money for her.
Tina - I like the idea of a grocery delivery, but I don’t know their address.
Funnily enough tonight, there was no mention of the money. Either my BIL gave them some and is planning on making up the difference himself or they didn’t need it as much as they thought. She did ask GD what she had for supper and she ate so there’s that.
Meeting people - I joined ceramics classes to make friends. It worked.
My hip isn’t as sore today as I was expecting. My face is sore to touch and my boss thinks I’m going to have a black eye.
Quiet evening.

Tracey - So very sorry about your fall. Sometimes life just decides to make things difficult for us. It's probably decided you've had your fair share now. 😉😍 I hope you can have some relaxation for a bit. I would encourage your MIL to send a gift card, as Tina said. It must be hard trying to keep her generous spirit in check.
Bea had taken part in the class presentation yesterday, when they all share what they have learned and done over the year to the parents. Another mother came up as we were leaving and congratulated her. Later on, at home, she performed for us the presentation she had done, in Spanish, about the music during the year. (It's a bilingual school) Her accent is faultless! 🤩 What a great gift the school is giving the children.

Lisa: love both versions. The second one looks very classy! You’ve inspired me to do another circular design!
Tracey: what Machka said. Classic Emotional blackmail as practiced by children everywhere. They’ve never grown up. Also what Beth said. Document everything financial!🫤I’m having bother with my back. (Spent most of yesterday bent double) It’s eased a bit this morning but still very ouchy when I move too much, so nursing it a bit this morning.

Tracey- 🥰 Apparently, I wanted to join the fall brigade! Someone Apparently added another step to the back of the shop (concrete). My ankles and toes protected my knees. Elbow and arm protected head and face. My Monday massage may have made the muscle impact less. Ribs, neck, and Elbow are a little owy this morning. I agree with others. To appease your MIL's giving spirit, gift cards. I knew my SIL's daughter was doing drugs and stealing years ago. T would tell her mom she was being evicted because the roommate wasn't paying her share of rent, or she and baby were hungry, or she was out of gas to get to work....the excuses were the full gammet. T studied as a nurse. Fired, but didnt tell mom. Would drop her son off with mom dressed in scrubs, then go partying. "Worked nights". I told D to quit giving T cash. If she needed groceries, drop them off at her place, etc. D didn't believe me until T went to jail for stealing pad and writing prescriptions. T got probation, never work in medical field again. It still took D several years to not make excuses. T is a master manipulator. Her mom finally figured it out about 10yrs ago. T turned to grandma (my MIL)then. Unfortunately, that avenue ended in 2020. But plenty of expenses/charges, etc came out afterMIL passed. D got mad at me when I told my immature DYD that if she got evicted she would need to find a place to stay at night. The baby (who is now 22yo) would stay with us. She could come during day, but once baby was in bed she had to leave. I was the "bad" parent according to SIL. My DYD was 21yo, married, and a mom. Her choices put her in that place. She spent a couple nights in her car, then a month bouncing friend's couches, then got her $<<< together. I still worry about their money decisions, but the marriage is 23 yrs strong. Anyway, T finally figured things out in past couple of years . Her 3 kids are awesome. One is M who works with me. Now if I can get M to not follow SIL's work ethic, I will count that as a win. That got long. Point is they need to figure out their own path. Gift cards assists without enabling as others have said. YOU ARE DOING AWESOME!!!
Rebecca-My mother once visited a nudist retreat for a week. She loved it. I do remember the days of nude sun bathing . No tan lines! It took over 20years for my DH to get comfortable with my nudity in the house. He does like tan lines though😉 He didnt warn me when we were walking the beach in FL that I was approaching the nudist section though. I was watching the waves when I realized that those brown suits were naked bodies! I made him turn around quickly. He was laughing and asked if I was embarrassed. My response, Nope, but have too many clothes on and didnt think the man who was always in at least underwear wanted to get naked to join in. That shut him up!
Our blowups got deflated last night. The wind started last night with gusts predicted over 40mph (probably minor for Machka). I get tired of chasing inflatables that pull free from their tethers. The icicle lights are really moving in the wind this morning. We hit 58°F yesterday and already hit our high today of 45°F. At least my house will be warm with cooking tomorrow!
Lisa-Glad you have oven back. Hope Corey is okay.
Beth- I don't mind snow as much in January/February, but really dislike it during the holidays. People can't drive in the rain much less snow here.
Grandson felt the seriousness of his wreck when he saw his car in the daylight. The guy at the impound lot told him he was lucky to have walked away. He also showed him a few cars that folks didn't walk away from. Hard lesson.
I need to look at watch before going to bed.
Seriously....10 steps? Oh well.
This is my calender board that DYD made for us many Christmases ago. DH can read it, does he?... but it is there for him and keeps things front and center for me.
So Cali is "yelling" at me wanting out.
Stay safe! Stay warm! Or cool for Machka.
Let's try to keep our feet under us today.
Much love,

Morning, my chickens,
I was pretty engrossed in the appliance drama yesterday, sorry I missed a couple things!
Tracey - Falls are so frustrating; I did something similar last week, but luckily, was out in the front yard and fell on a soft patch of grass. Hope there's no black eye out of it for you, and glad the hip hasn't been quite as bad you feared. When my son was so broke and broken in Denver, grocery deliveries gave me a little bit of control, making sure he had some reasonably good choices in the middle of a big city with only convenience stores nearby. Lots of good advice already from everyone else. Glad your little MIL liked the story - writing helps my stress levels. I'm sure the Hole in their Hearts gang would be happy to give your MIL the address if she asked, especially if they think they'll get something out of it… and since they're elsewhere, does that mean the house has been auctioned off finally? So many questions…
Beth - Yep, I'm married to a man who fixes things, but he also works 50 hours of hard physical work every week fixing things every day, all day. It was his choice to call in a repairman, and the place got five-star reviews. I think they must have gotten family to write them. 😂
Terri - 🥰 Sorry about your back, hope it eases quickly.
Flea - Kinda loving the very expectant kitty picture. Egg is completely uninterested in people eating food. She does love being underfoot when Corey's in the kitchen, though. Not for the food, just the annoyance factor, I think. This morning, since Corey's still asleep and thus quite boring, she's in between me and my keyboard, her favorite morning nap spot. Especially when I've got the heater on - it's nearly down to freezing outside, and she approves of heaters.
Kylia - Loved the choices you made and why you made them. It's not easy to let them find their own way out of their own messes, especially in the world as it is now. Thanks for the bit of worry about Corey. We got the bleeding to stop after he'd already traipsed all over the kitchen and into my craft room. That's how long it took him to notice he was dripping blood everywhere. I washed it and shoved some antibiotic cream into the fairly shallow cut before I put a bandage on it. He wouldn't have let me if he could bend far enough to reach it! Cali's so beautiful, they both are.
Heather - Love Edie's bottle, she did a grand job on it. Bea's presentation sounds wonderful. As Barbie said, it's wonderful watching you revel in the intersections between your life and theirs now that you're close enough. A grandchild's affection is such an amazing gift.
OK, I know darn well I didn't catch everybody - virtual hugs all around for those who need them, and cheers, Rebecca, for that very steady progress!
Corey has plans to brew beer at some point during his days off, but wants to do it outside on the big crab burner, as it's a lot of grain, and it needs to come to a rolling boil for a significant period of time. Adds FAR too much humidity to the house, among other things. Kinda love the smell, which is weird, as I don't drink beer.
He's trying to get me to try to make bread from the spent grain, which I certainly can do, but will require days of drying it and then grinding it at least somewhat to mix with regular flour. I should have never let him watch that bit of "Absolute History" where they were making bread like the Victorian-era bakers did. SMH. 🥰😂 Last time he put together a high-grain beer, we put the spent grain outside for the birds. They loved it. No idea if it still has any nutrition in it.
That's as exciting as things will probably get. Enjoying having him home (really, I swear!), still looking for that fabric that I know is here somewhere to try again on the next version of the circle wrap, and started a new crochet project. Each square is about the size of my hand. Will keep going, and decide what it will be by how many squares I make before I get sick of it.
Might just be a pillow. Might make another afghan. Still thinking. Don't even stop when I'm asleep - I often wake up with the next project in mind. I think Corey does too. Good thing we married each other, and stopped inflicting all this loopiness on people who can't appreciate it… 🥰🤪🐈⬛😂
Hope it's a lovely and peaceful Wednesday for everyone,
Love,

I so get it.💖👍🏼 The day she has to prep the meal, buying things a couple weeks prior, cook the meal, she will finally get it. There was a reason my dear sweet mother would be bone tired after Thanksgiving is because she had stayed up all night defrosting the huge bird. It couldn't have thawed in our fridge it wouldn't have fit. Then its peeling potatoes, boiling, making rolls. It was like seeing your Mom as a military leader, giving us orders, to do this or that, all the while trying to remember everything.😂💖. Like seeing a whole different side of my Mom. I was fascinated, and sensed her nervousness.
Buying in bulk never makes sense to me. For one its just not how I think. I mean lets buy a bag of shredded cheese the size of a bag of cereal? I guess most would freeze it but then you have to have a separate freezer. To me it seems like a green light to eat more. I mean if you have 24 croissants then they're right there.

Kylia in windy yet bracing for artic air Ohio,
Sorry about your slip! Falls is a reality cruel joke the earth and gravity play on us!
Lol, on the nude beach story! I have been topless at a beach in Thailand, my husbands ship had pulled in there so a bunch of the wives went down to meet it. I had a massage on the beach there, by an old lady with "tiger balm". I was a wee bit sunburnt, plus she had some sand bits on her hands. I remember thinking " I'm on fire"!! But you know all the other wives were peeling but I didn't peel not one bit. They went top less too, but on private beaches someplace else, not where most were.

My neck is better this morning after anti-inflammatories and a heating pad most of yesterday. Luckily work was quiet.
My daughter went for an ultrasound yesterday as she has an ovarian cyst they are keeping an eye on. The technician that was doing it told her it was from having had the COVID vaccine and that she needed to do a tea cleanse to rid her body of the vaccine. Now I know there is controversy over the vaccine but this was completely unsolicited advice from a health care worker that was, to say the least, slightly unfounded personal ideation. I am not sure how I would have responded had it been me but I may have registered a complaint. She can believe what she wants but should not be driving her theories with patients!
Beth- my SIL did her own popcorn ceilings in light pink… not so good.
Michele- the bulk grapes made me laugh. My dad is 94 and lives by himself. Insists on buying bulk at Costco to save money… he is very well off. Buys tomatoes in bulk then tries to give them away so he won't pay what Safeway wants for them. Also has enough toilet paper to last him until he is a centurion.
Carol- although not in your situation, I have found it very difficult to make friends after college. I rely on my husband for companionship and recognize how hard that would be to lose. I am hoping as time passes you will find friendships that will help.
Lanette- I imagine if AI is poor for veterinarians the what's it like on the human side? My daughter saw the doctor using Google AI to get an answer for a question she had asked! I would have at least left the exam room to do that!!
My mom loved shopping. She even said she got excited going grocery shopping 😊 Miss her.
Hope you can enjoy thanksgiving how YOU want to 🦃Rebecca- Way too cold to be nude here as well! Summer evenings would even instill a chill.
Take care of yourselves 💕

Lisa in Arkansas,
Hey, stoned handy men in your kitchen would be pretty exciting to me! Just sayin! Glad Corey figured it out, you have an oven (minus a broiler) until the new part comes. My husband is not handy regarding appliances. His mindset is to just employ those that have specific skill sets.👍🏼
Speaking of appliances, we're getting a new washer and dryer come Dec 3rd! Woohoo! Its a Hotpoint totally simple, $499 each kind. The dials and lettering are big and simple. Like minimalistic appliances! That appealed to me! I do not need or want all the fancy woo woo of tones, settings, Chrome, just white. When they come I will show you. The last time we had our own washer and dryer was in 2011. The ones we've had since when were units already in the apartment, or we used a laundromat, or like these were bought by son when he had his apartment and got them off someone PCSing.
Love the new squares! Poinsettia gorgeous!

Terri - Ouch! That back sounds painful. I hope it eases up soon. Good job we don't have Thanksgiving! That's something I'm sooo thankful for every year. :-)
And Kylia! Oops!
John came back from his lunch almost delirious with happiness from seeing his friend. Apparently, they talked about how lucky they are to have each other. 14 years now. The pub is 30 mins drive for John and 45 for G. Most of John's old friends have died and G is the same. Or people are so widespread.
I really enjoyed my day on my own and ate far too much cheese! I watched 4 episodes of a programme John doesn't like, so a day well spent. I'm just going to produce some variation on eggs and/or bacon for tonight. John had calves liver and mashed potatoes for lunch. Huge portion, he said.

Today I weight lifted, but did like 20 min on the treadmill not 30. Last 7 min was at 1.5 speed. I took my 10 mg BP today as I noticed that my BP has continuously gone up since stopping. Doctor had halved my dose of Lisinopril from 20 mg to 10 mg so started the lower dose back up today. So feeling kind of wonky. He said if I noticed it increasing to start taking the lower dose.
Today is shopping, as tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Husband wants me to make Bailey's fudge which will be a treat for him! Sugar city! It should last in the fridge all Dec. I have my Pennsylvania Dutch boozy eggnog that I will sip periodically in 4 oz portions in my sake glasses. Like a boozy baby!😂😂. There is also a gal that has recipes for "single serve" cookies and treats. Like yes please! I have saved a reel on FB showing how to make single serve snowball cookies (2) molasses sugar cookie and chocolate crinkle top cookies. Its a smart thing. She also talks about buying cake mixes and making "mug cake" using only a couple spoonfuls of the cake mix and milk and some other things but looking at cake mixes today too!

Carla - good luck with the eye surgery, bet all will be fine.😉
Flea - what a gorgeous kitty! She has to oversee what goes onto the table at mealtime, right? 😁
Pip - nice that you had breakfast with your brother, I was wondering how he was doing. Hope he comes through all this with flying colors!
Melanie - Glad your neck is better. Yes, that technician was way out of line. Your daughter was worried to begin with and then to have unsolicited "medical advice" piled on. Good grief.
When I go to see Dr. Lisa these days, I announce that I already checked Dr. Google for her, and here's the result…..😂 She tries to hide a grin.
Terri - sorry to hear about your back - hoping you feel better quickly!
Rebecca - using cake mix for "mug cakes" sounds like a great idea.
T just stopped by and I told her I was cancelling T-Day at that restaurant tomorrow, she was perfectly fine with that and said that had her DH's aunt not been invited, they wouldn't have gone either. 😁 They have been so busy, just staying home these days is a luxury.

Mug cakes were all the thing here for a while. Lots of single serve packets of cake mix available. People in the office were making them for mid afternoon snacks. But then it seemed to die off.
I've rarely found a cake I liked just on its own. Sort of like eating bread with nothing on it. So the mug cakes didn't appeal to me.
Now mug icing .... that might be a different story! 😄

Been a couple days since I posted. Been feeling weird lately. My son seems to be doing good now. My middle daughter, I haven’t heard from her since last December. She is the one that broke contact because I wouldn’t leave my DH home alone for Christmas to go to her house. Then when I told her we might drive there, she said that DH and my dogs couldn’t visit her. So her choices not mine. Unfair restrictions in my mind. I’m leaving it up to her to call or text. I still text her or send cards for occasions but never get a reply. Whoever was talking about adult children cutting us deep was right on.
Lucy doing well but she has this thing called sleep startle aggression. When she is sleeping, if anyone touches her or gets very near, she growls and snaps. In researching, I found that whenever she takes a nap, I should call her name quietly and when she looks at me, tell her “Lucy, it’s ok, good girl” I used that last night when she did the snap thing to me and she just dropped back asleep. It’s like she is attacking in her sleep. Whatever happened to her at the pound before I got her must have really been traumatic to her.
Thought for today (or a couple days!)
Why did the policeman stop you on your way home last Thanksgiving?
Because you far exceeded your feed limit.
What did the leftover turkey say?
"Make me a sandwich!"
What’s the difference between a turkey and a chicken?
Chickens celebrate Thanksgiving.
Why do turkeys hate Thanksgiving tables?
They're a fowl sight.
I’ve decided to not get depressed this holiday season. I am going to fake it until I make it! Holiday earrings, decorating, and foods! No dwelling on anything until January 1, 2026. Let’s all try this! And wish me luck!!
