In Need of an a friend to check in with....

A lot of people ask for an accountability buddy. But then never check in. I am searching for someone that wants to check in daily to see how we are doing.

I am 46 year old mother. I weigh around 232 pounds and need to be successful for my health. If you can relate to this, please add me and lets start checking in with each other.

Thank you!

I check in every day with few exceptions, and belong to 2 groups....Serial Starters here and a Challenge board on Challenges. I have been here a year since last September and have lost 32 pounds so far. I will be happy to check in here daily with you. 🙂

I’d be happy to check in as well- this app is a little difficult to keep track, so consider adding as a friend as well.

I’m 48 year old mother, have lost about 5 lbs since October of this year. I will be in maintenance after 2 more pounds- being post menopausal it’s helpful to keep track for me as well.

@hopingforsuccessagain , how was your day?

I forgot to weigh this morning....I need to set a reminder, as I do that on occasion.

I had a small glass of vegetable juice for breakfast, egg salad with bacon for lunch. And a piece of pie for dinner because it was the last piece and it needed to go....lol!

    Sandy,

Don't you find it is hard to lose weight when you eat too little calories? I am curious, because what you listed is way under my minimum daily calories. I am having a hard time eating enough lately, and I believe it is the reason for my stalled weight loss. I have little appetite, and get full quickly.

Have you tried one of the challenges here on MFP? When I first started this journey I tried a lot - then chose the ones that helped me the most. I found a daily check-in very helpful. Also LOVED the group challenges - I found I would do more for a team than for myself

    Check these out:

Just Give Me 10 Days This one lasts just 10 days and then they start a new round. You check-in every day with your goals, weight, or whatever you want.

Just Give Me 10 Days Thread

Monthly Daily Weigh-In This is similar to the 10 Days Thread - but lasts the whole month.

December Daily Weigh-in and Logging Challenge

The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for new members for our next round (doors open Dec 31 - and first weigh-in January 7. It really made this journey a fun one! Check it out!

    Biggest Loser Challenge

If you are a Harry Potter fan - the Hogwarts Challenge is a great one - they are finishing up a round now - a new one will start in the new year.

Not really. I eat as much as I feel comfortable eating. As you age, you tend to eat less in general, although yesterday, the egg salad was 3 hard boiled eggs with soy bacon. And the pecan pie was a good amount of calories, although it was a smallish piece. And I had a couple pieces of chocolate. Being diabetic, I don't splurge like that very often and because I generally cut my carbs WAY back, that cuts back the calories. I don't lose fast now that I have already lost more than 30 pounds, but I am still losing, and slow/steady is the best way to lose because you have to get used to eating a whole new way forever....not just when losing weight. That's why I gained it back the first time I lost 50 pounds...I lost it too fast. It took me a year to lose 30 pounds.

If you get full, don't force yourself to eat more. However, if you eat TOO little, your body will try to hold onto the weight. But as I said, age enters into it. At my age I don't need as much food as I did at 40 when I was more active and working.

    Checking in for today.

My weight this morning was 157.8. I am down 32.2 pounds since my weight loss journey began.

I had my cup of vegetable juice for breakfast. Lunch will be leftover cheeseburger. Not sure about dinner yet....depends on what I am in the mood for. I got a delivery of Siggis peach yogurt this morning so I will have those for future breakfasts.

@hopingforsuccessagain , will you check in and let us know how you are doing? 🙂
