I'm a little past you - I just ran in my first 5K last weekend. :glasses: I have my second race coming up this weekend. I did use the C25K plan to get me here, though! Let me know if I can be of help! GOOOD LUCK0

I am on week 7. And I literally started from the couch! I love it! I am trying to talk myself into a real 5k on October 29th, but right now I am more of a jogger than a runner, and I don't want to look like a fool lol.0

I am on week 3 and should have done day 3 three days ago, but I haven't yet! I think I will start week 3 over on Monday and stick to it every other day!0
-
I tried to start it a couple of weeks ago. Life got in the way. LOL. Trying to get started again. Good Luck!0
-
YAY! I just started this week! Day 4 today! WAHOO! I feel so much better, so much more energy throughout the day!0
-
ACTUALLY yes. I was reading all these posts about C25K and had no idea what it was and looked it up the other day. I would like to start it and i think i could fit it in considering its only 3 days a week....i currently have a zumba class 3 times a week and im doing 30DS (day6 today). SOO lets do it.0

OMG trust me!! I am a jogger! A 3.5-4.0 jogger! I am working on my speed once I graduate from this program!!
I want to run a 5k on October 29th too. There were plenty of people who took walking breaks and such during the 5k that I just completed!0 -
I'm getting ready to start over - I have a tendonitis problem that is healing and I'm just starting to walk on it again after almost a week of ice and rest.
My plan is to ease back into walking a 5K with no pain and then starting C25K from week 1 and going through the program (I had only gotten to week 3 before injury struck) - as long as I have no pain, I'm going to keep going.
If you want, we can go through together, if you're a bit patient with my ankle!0 -
I started with the Cto5K plan last year, and then switched over to the Galloway walk/run method. Ran my first 1/2 marathon in August, and my second will be on October 15th. Highly recommend Galloway training! (just google Jeff Galloway)0

You will love it but it will be hard at first I just did week 5 day 3 I felt awsome being able to at least jog for 20 min straight Day 1 was the hardest I could not even jog for the 90 sec straight So it really does work and also there is a open support group with people from there first week to there first 5K They are a great bunch and full of helpful advice0

Hi I'm starting week 6 tomorrow,
found the first weeks really tough but am starting to get into it now. can definitely feel an improvement in fitness and my general ability to breathe and run at the same time, which i used to think was impossible.
feel free to add me.

I am an old runner that stopped running 18 months ago. (Wow, can't believe it has been that long) I have started running again. I am signed up for a 5K on the 22nd. Stick with it, you will get that runners high especially when you go from 3 miles to 5. When you complete mile 5 you will just have the best feeling of accomplishment. Good Luck running!0

Just wanted to give you some more motivation. I did the C25K program from coolrunning.com also back in 2009 and I have now run over 20 races including 6 Half Marathons! Stick with it, it really does work! My ticker doesn't show it because I reset it at my new weight, but I lost 115 pounds primarily with running.0

I am in Week 7 of the c25k. I am using the treadmill version found on www.c25k.com. I would love to run outside but workout at 4:30 am and cannot convince myself to venture outside by myself!
I should be finishing the program right now but went on vacation and found I had to repeat week 7. I am running at 4.4 mph. I find it amazing to watch my own body transform. 7 weeks ago I struggled to run for 60 seconds and now - I'm running for 25 minutes! I never would've thought it possible . . .0 -
I just came inside from doing week 4 day 1. Which has 2 stretches of running 5 minutes at a time, and I am proud of myself for pushing through it.
When I started, I felt like I might die running 30 seconds or a minute... now it takes a 5 minute stretch for me to cry . It gets better and I know I will be so happy when I complete it.
Walk/Running a 5K on October 16th.0 -
I'm a proper newbie to this one, I've just done week 1 day 1, but I managed all the jogs, so I'm happy. I think my jogs may not have been too much different to my walks, and it was mostly my boobs moving, but its a start. Bring it on0

So I went and did it, I registered for the 5k on October 29th (my first one). Right now on week 7 my current time with walking and jogging 3.1 miles is 42 minutes. I would really like it closer to 35 by the end of the month. Here goes nothing lol.0

I was going to quote your earlier post and encourage you to go ahead and register, but now that I am seeing this all I can say is WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!
You will do AWESOME!!!!!!!
I have been doing C25K off and on for a little more than a year now. I just finished my 10th 5K last weekend and posted my best time yet (32:59). You will have no trouble at the end of the month. Have fun and kick butt!!!0 -
Im thinking about doing it, not sure yet though0

I am new to this as well. I will be doing day 2 of week 1 today. I liked it and you work up a sweat! Even better... I will be doing mine on a treadmill. A lot of people do it on pavement so either one is fine. Good luck to ya!!! Wish me the same. lol0 -

Congrats! You are a pro next to me. Is the treadmill version much different than the reg. program? The thought of running 25 or even 30 minutes straight seems foreign to me but I have to trust that I will get there using the program.0 -

I don't know the regular program - I have only seen/done the treadmill version. We live in a pretty rural, next to nothing area so I'm not comfortable running outside by myself. I like the treadmill though - it works for me.0 -

I finished my first (last weekend) at 41 minutes and I am only on Week 5 of the program! So I have faith that my time can only go down from there!0
