Team Lighter Than Air is ready to lift off tomorrow, Oct 1st. I am glad that every one of you have chosen to participate. Not only will your exercise help our team, but the fellowship and encouragement we will experience will be good for ALL of us in our individual weight loss plans. I have already enjoyed getting to know you via our threads and friendship. Please use this thread for any correspondence relating to Team Lighter Than Air or the Around the world challenge. Don't forget our website www.billmills.org/lighterthanair.htm. It will be updated daily and has links to Susan's master spreadsheet as well our performance in the challenge. Don't forget to let Susan (Pangea250 or email: sbm4@comcast.net) know the calories you burn every day. Good luck and I hope that you have a great time in this game. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I'm ready! My only bummer is that I have to mow my lawn today. That's a big calorie burner & I wish I could leave it for tomorrow, but my next-door neighbor is having a outdoor party, and that just wouldn't be fair to them to either mow during the party or have my lawn looking all raggedy.

Hey wait a minute. Maybe I'll just mow first thing in the morning tomorrow. Yay, that's what I'll do!

Yeah, first thing tomorrow. It will be cooler and the calories will count. What a buch of geniuses I decided to hang around with!

Saturday is usually a big burn day for me, so I'll be off to a good start. We have a five mile walk for charity on Sunday, so that'll burn a bit too. I have a family event in the afternoon, but if I manage to get to gym as well it will be a good day too, burn wise.

Now I know some of our team may have been too young to see this movie, but this has been in my head all day, thinking about our team. Because...we bad, that's right, we bad! Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH8_FWPUA_I We bad!

On another note, my Saturday got turned upside down...my 4 hour shift on first aid squad from 2 to 6 has turned into an 8 hour shift from 10 to 6. It rained like a monsoon last evening (and I was on then too, we had a 350 lb person who fell OUTSIDE in the midst of this massive rain, we all got soaked to the skin), so mowing the lawn is not an option today. I'm not sure how much of a workout I'll get in either...looks like it'll be the dreadmill later. Or maybe I'll fire up the 30DS. Jillian, here I come!

See how resilient we are? Just lifting that guy had to be worth 500 cals don't you think? Have a grerat day.

Had a great weekend in exercise terms (and in every other sense too, really!). Burned 1782 at the gym (mostly the elliptical), and walking, yesterday. Today, we did a sponsored walk, as well as walking the dog and having a little run - burned another 1247.

    How's everyone else getting on?

In food terms, a less good weekend. Lots of family and friends events this weekend - ate too many carbs, too much fat and drank too much. I stayed within calories, but I don't feel especially healthy! Here's to a nice, healthy weekend!

We're doing great, team, those miles are flying beneath us!

Not many of you are sending your calories to me every day. In fact, only 2 of you do. And I'm find that it is just as easy for me to pull the numbers from your profile/diary every morning. So don't worry about PMing or emailing me the numbers. I will ask, though, that you check the spreadsheet on the website to make sure that what I have is accurate. I pull your calories each morning at around 7 or 8 Eastern time, so if you update your previous day's exercise in any way after that, I won't know about it. Just send me a PM if you need to.

    Hi there

so sorry, i thought sending them every few days would be ok. Happy to send daily though - whatever is easy?
  • We are averaging 5,124 calories per day and are in 4th place as of Oct 6. We are doing great and I love to see the movement of our team on the map. Keep after it, my friends, and try to step up if you can. We can do this!

Well done everyone! We're doing fabulously!

And well done particularly to Bill - easing into the lead, there, I see! :-)
