Thank you to everyone over the last few months who have helped me along my journey. I recommend this site to anyone who will listen to me. It is with a heavy heart I must say goodbye.... for now.... to all of my friends here. As my friends here know, I am shipping out with the Army in 2 days. Being 30 years old and starting a new career in the Army was hard enough and I could not have done it without the support of my friends and my wife. They say you should only make 1 major life change per year. This year I got married, changed careers (Army), moved, and lost a ton of weight. No more changes for a while please.
This site gave me guidance, advice, and discipline. My entire journey (not completely documented on MFP) saw me lose 64 pounds and gain a large amount of muscle and confidence in myself. I went from being unable to run a mile to routinely running 13 miles every weekend. I will hopefully be logging back in when I get settled in a few months.
I am listing my stats to show what a great job this site did for me.
SW: 262lbs
CW: 198
Starting waist: 42
Current Waist: 32
Starting confidence: Lacking
Ending confidence: Through the roof
Thanks again to everyone and I wish you all the best of luck on your journey.

Check in when you can. If you can let others serving with you know how much we appreciate all you do. If you can, if you find someone who isn't getting any mail, or needs some communication, let me know, let us know, so we can be there for him/her as all MFP's are there for each other. My freedom rests with you and all others that serve as you do. I do not take it for granted, so, let everyone know that serves with you that there's people who are so appreciative, and would like to know how we can give back.
Thank you.0 -
