                    I need some suggestions for good quality, inexpensive software for counting calories and keeping track of weight loss without the internet.

            Perfect Diet Tracker is not free, but not expensive either. You can track food calories as well as exercise.0

            Years ago I used something called FitDay. At the time, I think it was like a one time $20 registration, but it's been a long time. I really liked the way it was laid out though, very detailed.0

            Cheapest is a calorie counting book and a notepad. That's how they did it before the Internet :-)0

            Does your local library not have internet...you could go there to use their compuers and internet...0

            I'll have to agree with tross. There are a large number of calorie counting books out there. Make sure you get one that has restaurants that are available to you as well as a good variety of foods.
