I have two things motivating me:

    1) I haven't bought new clothes in about 3 years, so I'm looking forward to December when I can buy some new ones!
    2) Showing off my "new" body to my husband when he comes home from Afghanistan in a few months =]

Well, quite a few things actually! Proving to myself that I can actually do it. (I've tried and failed MANY times). I want to rub it in the faces of those skinny b*****s that used to be my "friends". To look super hot for my boyfriend and 21st birthday. To be able to say, "yeah, I'm a runner and I'm healthy". :)

Wanting to love what I see in the mirror long-term, not just for a month or two; my wedding! (date unknown, but it's coming up whenever it is and I want to be ready!); long-term health. I did enough damage to my body in the years I was actively anorexic. I want my body to be healthy at a reasonable weight; and of course, i want to feel SEXY! in whatever i wear at whatever time of day. :D

Obesity related illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure... the list goes on. My family especially since I want to be able to see my kids grow up and be able to spend the rest of my LONG life with my wife and the fact that before I started losing weight I had absolutely no energy to do anything. It was even a chore to get up off the couch to go eat. Now I'm down 22 pounds and have more energy. Food's no longer in control. I am.

Avoiding the long term back and knee problems that several people I know have gone through as they get older. I want to be healthy and active long past 70 years old.

My sister's wedding in January. She supposedly ordered me a size 6-8 dress or something.. But I think it's one of those Two Birds convertible dresses that David Tutera loves! LOL I only have this hint b/c she said that it'll look great on everyone's body shape. We'll find out at Thanksgiving!!

Also.. My MFP family that seems to keep growing everyday :D

    And lastly, my future.

My motives right now are not very pure.:embarassed: My husband started loosing weight after I did and this week he exceeded the amount that I have already lost:angry: So my vanity is a little injured and I want to keep loosing so that my new svelte hubby doesn't have to wait too long for his new svelte wife.

my husband is divorcing me...fell in love with his high school sweetheart all over again. Although they can't be together due to his Army assignment (he is on the west coast and she is on the east coast) I just want to make him regret the chioce he made. I hope the next relationship is with someone that knows a womans worth.

I want to get healthy now so I don't follow in the unhealthy footsteps of my grandparents and mom. Lots of high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholestol, and diabetes run in my family. I want to break the cycle!

It changes but at the moment it's a red satin dress hanging in my closet. I have a wedding to go to in Miami in 5 weeks and dammit, I am going to ROCK that dress.

What motivates me most to get healthy and fit is living an honest life. For me, I've been as fat as I've been dishonest. I've decided it's time to be Me and that takes courage and honesty. I've spent years of my life chasing the "carrot" and now I know I have everything I need to be happy inside me. It's time for Me to come out and play, so to speak. :)

Haha, I love this! I feel the same way. My fiancee lost an extra 30 pounds he had gained in what seemed like a month without even trying. GRRRR to guys metabolisms! I'm soooo ready to catch up. I DESPISE knowing that I weigh about 23lbs more than him! Damn, i'm actually almost starting to cry...i forgot how much that bugged me
I suppose that's all themore motivation! thanks for reminding me!
