30 DS question

I am starting this on Weds (have to have some stitches out and get the all clear tomorrow) and I can't wait.
I have 14lbs perhaps a little more to lose (will see when I get there!)

So apart from aching etc what can I expect in terms of weightloss and loss of inches?
Will I notice any weight loss in the first week?
Has anyone ever done 30 D S and NOT lost weight?
Any advice gratefully received!

    I lost about 15 lbs and 10inches
Mind you I had (and still have) a lot to lose - unsure of results of people who are already near goal

You'll have to really watch what you eat to lose weight. It will make you ache and is pretty tough but it is only 20 mins a day so if you want to see significant weight loss maybe add a 30 min walk/run too.

I just started Level 3. I'm about 12 pds away from my goal and I have noticed more in the way of losing inches then weight, I'd imagine cause I'm building muscle.

Thank you I need all the encouragement I can get.

I plan to eat lots of protein and undresses salads, fruit, water and green tea as well as protein shakes.

I havent had any resutls yet. I just started myself. day 7 level 1. So far so good! The only complaint I have is it puts a strain on my knees, so I do the modified version.

First week was by far the worst. On day three and four I just had do force myself through it and as the muscles got warmer, the easier it got. My tip is to really stretch, far more then JIllian does to prevent soreness, especially in the thighs. Of course this depends a lot on how much you already workout.

A lot of people don't lose a significant amount of weight but have really dramatic results in inches and pictures. I just did day 10 and have lost not quite 3 lbs but my pants are loser and I have deltoids now. Alas, my bras are also looser. lol. But I can definitely see some changes happening. My endurance is also better after only a few days. I can run a lot better.

I think as long as you track your eating and make it through the whole thing, you can expect pretty great results. Maybe not a huge difference on the scale but you will see it somewhere. I don't think I've heard anyone say they were disappointed with the results. There's a thread around here somewhere with lots of before/after pics.
