    That is so hard for me too! How often do you go to them? If it's once a week or less, I don't think it's a big deal to indulge a little. But if it's more often, I would really limit how many I go to until I have good control over what I'm eating. And make sure you are logging everything you eat. That helps me to not eat so much knowing I will have to log it.
    I dd 30DS and was able to run 2 miles today!!! I also did a quarter mile warm up and cool down. I think i could have gone another quarter mile but was running late for class lol I will walk the other mile tomorrow morning.

    I have a question: I just started grad school and have been going to many social events. Theses events are not only social gatherings but also involve food(mainly junk food) and drinks =/ I avoided an event yesterday because I didn't want to be around the food, but I dont want to NOT hang out with these people its just that I can't really handle being around the food. Does anyone have tips for how I can better handle these situations?
    I'd eat before I go and stick to the fruit/veggie tray if i decide to snack. If they don't provide it maybe you could bring one to share.

    K, I did my push-ups, squats, and lunges yesterday. Did about 2.5ish miles wednesday and will do today's exercises a little later. Going camping tonight for the weekend so hopefully I can fit in the rest of these challenges. Have a good weekend everyone.

    Rough morning over here but turned it around...Had such a sweet tooth all day!!

    Went to Bikram Yoga tonight after a long time...And it felt amazing :)

    Ran/walk/jog 3 miles in 39 min (yesterday's challenge), stretch 2 min, 40 push ups (girl kind:), 8 assisted pull ups. DONE!

    Hey everyone,
    hope you had a good week and weekend.
    I have a real reluctance to counting these days. i know my week wasnt perfect, but basically I can't be bothered on the weekend to record all my foods. I know i'm not terribly over my limit, as I have overcome my biggest problem: sweets. I hardly eat any now, and if not the huge amounts i ate before. And I also have measured most of my regular meals and snacks, so I know how much I can afford to eat.
    Any advice/thoughts on how to get motivated to count or do you also have days where you don't count and you're fine about it?

    Below my achievements (and not) for the week.

    Tuesday- 30 Pushups CHECK (Wed morning)
    Wednesday- 80 Squats/30 lunges each leg CHECK
    Thursday- Jog 3 to 4 miles - FAIL, will try and do today (Fri)
    Friday- 8 pull ups, 40 pushups - CHECK (10 reverse push ups instead of pull ups)
    Saturday- 50 jumping jacks, 20 burpees, 40 squats - CHECK on Sun
    Sunday- Jog/walk 4 miles - Cycled 8miles

    Daily exercise:
    Tue - FAIL
    Wed - 30DS L1
    Thu - 30DS L2
    Fri - 30DS L1
    Sat - FAIL (Migraine)
    Sun - 8 mile cycle
  • I've completed almost all of the challenges this week(cant go on a run today so will add that to tomorrow's workout) but I ended up binge eating this weekend. I'm not really sure why it happened and I'm hoping today I wont succumb to it again. I know tomorrow's weigh in wont be great but I am hoping that it will motivate me to try harder rather than to give up =/

    I am really hoping to do yesterday and today's challenges today but I'm not sure if I will be able to! I just got home and I have to work for someone tonight and dinner at my moms in a bit. If not, I am going to add them to tomorrow's challenge because I really really don't want to skip any! I ate horrible this weekend though and had wayyyyy too much to drink last night. :/ Probably a ton of calories!

    Week-end was a disaster....
    Too many calories from too much food and alcohol and didn't workout...
    Here's hoping for a better week 3!
    Got to STOP obsessing about the end and really FOCUS on one day at a time...

  • I'm up 3 pounds(225) this week but I know what i did and what I will do this week to make a change. I'm gonna take it one day and one meal at a time.

    Good Morning Ladies. We had a beautiful 2 day rain here in Kansas where everything has been hot & dry most of the summer. I would like to report that I now weigh 163 lbs. I am so excited to have hit this milestone & am looking forward to the smaller numbers in th future. Enjoy your week & keep up the good work. Thanks for all your posts.

    I lost 2 pounds this week. I think it would've been more if I didn't screw up all weekend. :/ I've lost .25 inches all over too so that makes me feel good! :)

    Well, my camping trip didn't treat me too well! I had lots of fun and got in quite a bit of exercise but drank way to much and I think I may have ate half a bag of potato chips:ohwell: I played about 3 hours worth of paintball and went on a walk that was about 2.5 miles with my family. This campground does "treasure hunting" for the kids. They barry coins and jewelry all over the property and give the kids metal detectors to find the treasures... super fun! I also did 60 jumping jacks, 40 sit-ups (in place of pull-ups), and 40 push-ups. I didn't get Saturday or Sunday's exercises done though:cry:

    So, today I weigh 155.8... That is up 2.8lbs:sad: I'm pretty sure some of it is water weight though cause I'm super dehydrated this morning. When I go camping I tend to replace all my water drinking with liqour drinking:devil: But hey, this is almost a guarenty that I will lose next week right:wink:

  • I went up .4 pounds. so I am now at 158. But I know it was the couple birthday parties over the weekend!! Fresh start his week and I already feel great!!

    Are we starting to post on a new forum this week??

  • Yeah I havent gotten anything for a new thread. So far this week is going well. I finally downloaded the app to my phone so i am logging every last thing I eat to hold my self more accountable. I hope everyone elses week is getting off to a good start!

    I need to remember to log my food again too. I hit my plateau... its always at 150lbs! So, i've got to make sure I hold myself accountable for everything. I sent a e-mail to Reese but no response yet.

    Hey, so how is everyone doing with their workouts so far this week? I personally need some motivation. Sooooo.... I'm just gonna tell ya what I'm gonna do for the rest of the week so I actually do something:tongue::bigsmile:

    Thursday - 80 squats, 50 lunges each leg
    Friday - Run for 30 minutes (time is easier for me to track then actual miles:wink: )
    Saturday - 30 push-ups, 50 sit-ups
    Sunday - 30 burpees, 1 hour walk (with my munchkins & pup:smile: )

    K... Hold me accountable friends:bigsmile: :bigsmile:

    Ladies I AM SOOOO SORRY!!!!! Our internet router is TERRIBLE! We have ordered a new one....so hopefully it will be in soon. I hope everything is going well. I will be updating the spreadsheet soon. I will also begin another thread on Monday for week 4! I am sooo sorry about not being able to keep up.

    I'm not doing very good. :( I've been working out a ton but not losing weight so the last few days I've been extremely unmotivated to do anything. UGH.

    You know what worked for me?

    I took a BREAK.

    ONE WEEK OFF of working on.

    Just kept my calories in check and watched when I ate and possible triggers for emotional eating (my thing...Agh.)

    And I was eating over my calorie limit even if I was working out so damn hard (NOT SAYING that is what is going on on your end...I was just shocked that even though I was working out so damn much...The scale was stuck)

    DON'T GIVE UP...YOU ARE DOING AWESOME!

  • Just weighed myself...down 4 pounds(221)....hopefully no more going back up in weight from here on out. In addition to cardio 4-5 days a week, I'm starting Insanity this week so we shall what happens with that. I have gotten my roommates to join me so that will be good to have household motivation and accountability.
    Something great happened this week! All of my size 16 and 14 jeans have been falling off of me and just look horrible. I went to Ross to try on some jeans and i fit in a size 12!!!!! I havent worn that size since I was 10 or 11. My roommate was with me and then suggested I just borrow her jeans but she mandated that I no longer wear my baggy jeans =]

    Best of luck this week everyone. Remember to just take one day, one meal, and one workout at a time. We can and will make it through this journey.
