I saw that there are a lot of posts about diabetes. My sister, who is a nurse and certified diabetes educator (RN CDE) and I write about living with diabetes on our blog-- http://dcdiabloggers.blogspot.com/. Feel free to drop in, check out some of the posts or simply post questions. We come from a medical family and have tapped them as well as our colleagues to provide additional clinical expertise.

I recently had a kidney transplant and am using MFP to help me continue to lose weight, exercise and maintain my health status so I can keep (my husband's) kidney for the rest of my life.

My mother has type II diabetes and was able to help her into remission by helping her with a sugar, wheat and flour free food plan. The doctor was floored and she is off her meds.

I actually use the Kay Sheppard plan for food addicts. (I found most people with type II diabetes have food addiction) - it was very instrumental.

Also in recovery from food addiction for over 19 years myself....keep up the great work girls!!!
