Hi everyone
When I started this weight loss journey at the start of the year I told myself that i would post some pics when I hit 199 lbs,
well last week I hit this milestone so here are my pics!
I am 44 years old and I have yo-yo dieted all of my adult life,
but I know this time is different, as it is a lifestyle change which I have embraced with both arms
and I am very confident that the weight will stay off.!!
The reason for starting this was back in Feb when my sister signed us both up for a 8 mile walk in aid of the local hospice,
I was terrified I wouldnt make it to the end, so I started walking, at the gym and outside, I also started swimming ALOT,
soon I was off to the gym/pool/Wii at home every other day and as the weight started going it made me go more!!!
I lost 2 stone before the walk, which was in May............and I finished the walk and raised £500 for charity.
The first time I tried running on the treadmill I managed 45 seconds before having to stop, now nearly 50lbs later I can run for 12 minutes without stopping, this is truely amazing as I have NEVER run anywhere in my whole life (even at school I wasnt really the athletic type)
I am only half way to my goal weight, but I know that I will get there
It has been a tough but rewarding journey and the help, motavation and support from all the people on this website has kept me going, so a big thank you to you all.
I hope the pics inspire someone else the way looking through everyone else's pics have inspired me over the last few months :flowerforyou:
