do you think its attractive when a girl has her tounge pierced ? i was thinking of getting mine but my friend said not to because its 'slutty looking' . input please ! =]

    Do what you want to do, and don't care what judgements other people are going to make about you based on your appearance!

    That being said, it quite possibly will deter you from getting a job, because many employers see it as "unprofessional." I'd take that into more consideration than what men think about it. :)

    I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks slutty, but it does put girls a few rings below in the classy/proper ladder in my mind.
    You know "good for a while but not for too long type of girls".

    'Slutty looking' is a bit of a turn on. Especially when it is unexpected in a lady. Deep down all the guy's like a bit of wild. Personally I love to meet women with a bit of slut in them....Just my opinion

    Watch your teeth. I chipped one and had to have it filled in. I also hear that dentists love them for that reason!

    As for it being slutty, I don't think so, it's so common now a days.

    I do not find tongue piercings attractive. Nor eyebrow piercings, nor lip piercings. I can just barely tolerate tiny little stones in the nose.

    I dunno about slutty look. For some reason makes me think of it not being hygienic and it also makes me think of nastiness. But I'm not a guy so what I think doesn't count in this thread.

    depends on the girl and her style.

    if she dresses slutty then yes it looks slutty.

    they feel nice and everything, but do look a bit trashy.

    i think as long as you keep it in your mouth, it's ok. my friend has one and she's always flicking it out and it's a bit annoying. but i guess i have no room to talk since i have my lip pierced and you can clearly see it at all times.

    if you want it, i say get it. It's your body and nobody elses. doesnt matter what they think :-)

    I dont think they make someone look slutty but I wouldnt do it....

    I had one for over ten years when I was younger and it messed up my bottom front teeth bad. I ended up having to have 2 implants put in and it cost me a fortune!

    Do whatever makes you happy but beware! If I could go back in time I never would have done it.

    I'll never get my tounge pierced... At the end of the day, I know as I build my career, network, etc.... My appearance does matter. And as for guys.... I think I (and women in general) look much classier. I just think tounge rings are not attractive on anyone and it's just a big distractor lol...Lol sorry I posted on this thread I know it's for the guys to answer with an opinion lol.. :)

    I don't think its very professional looking. Not bad looking, but just not professional. So just depends where ya are in life. I consider myself a young professional so wouldn't be attracted to the tongue ring myself. Now...A simple nose ring, single small diamond, with the right placement, now that is totally hot and can be pulled off while still being professional..imo.

    Agree with some of the prior posts. Not slutty but not professional so it all comes down to your work setting and your career. It can be attractive on some girl while not on others. I do tend to think "maybe a little wild" when I meet a girl and I unexpectedly find out she has a tongue piercing...lol

    Clearly you want to get one to increase attractiveness but don't want to look slutty.

    I'm not sure what a metal ring in the appendage that used for tasting has a bearing on either.

    Ok that's what I meant lol... It's not professional looking.. Agreed. But I still do think I would like to catch a man's attention without a tounge piercing. I think professionalism first! :) lol

    Tongue piercings are not slutty,,, but I don't find them particularly attractive in either sex and wonder if they wouldn't actually cause you to produce more saliva which might in turn make you feel more hungry.

    I also knew a girl at work who was forever swallowing the end off her tongue bar... silly girl!

    I don't mind piercings, but I wouldn't want one in my nose or my tongue... but each to their own.

    Now guys... with a PA... that's a different story :wink: :smokin:

    LOL I am so glad this thread wasnt started by a guy asking if he should get a tongue ring...or any piercing for that matter...cuz I'd have to chime in and say HOTTTTTTTTTTTT.

    I have my nose done, and would love to get my lip and tongue pierced but do realize that for my profession, it's not professional and would just be a waste as I couldn't leave it in all the time.

    But yeah, I just felt like posting on something, somewhere.. =)
