I had originally closed out my diary for yesterday about right where I should have been for my calories.

THEN...my girlfriends called me and said come up to the bar...I shouldnt have done it.

It's been a while ( a really long while) since I've gone out drinking. It's really not my thing anymore. I had planned on going and not drinking which is the usual for me if i do go out. Hate the way I feel the next day anyhow. But they bought a round of shots, American Honey. Yes, we are whiskey drinkers :). Those 2 shots I had were a total of 120 calories. Then I decided I'd have a vodka seltzer, which eventually turned into 4! Total calorie intake on those were about 360!!!

Time for me to go now I decide. Go home, clean up, crawl into bed and hope for no hangover...so far im ok, just ok.

However, there was a stop at Taco Bell (my bf was hungry). I wasnt going to eat. He said here, take a bite of this. I ate the whole thing :-(. That thing was another 290 calories!!!!

I ate and drank almost 3000 calories yesterday. That's awful. Im awful. And now...

I AM GOING TO WORK MY *kitten* OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You weigh 119 lbs. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
  • We all do it. Okay most of us as I know someone will come on here and say "not I." We just pick ourselves up and forget about what happened and get back on track. You'll be fine! :)
  • We all have those days at least you are accountable for them and you are making the changes this is something I have learnt to do, a year ago I would say "oh well I was bad yesterday so I will start again after the weekend" and continue to binge .

Just by doing a little extra exercise and eating a little less over the next couple of days who will make it right again.
  • Thanks guys!

One day won't kill you. I have some bad days too and most of us do that's why we're here.

Yup. I was reading this book or article by Jillian Michaels and she said something like "if you find yourself at some greasy spoon at 2:00 in the morning, alcohol was probably involved" lol

Come on babe, it has to be done sometimes just as long as it's not a regular thing. Can't work and not have a little play.

Don't sweat it too much. One day of bad decisions doe not a weight gain make. Just don't do it on a regular basis.

Once in awhile is not going to hurt you. Sometimes, I think it refocuses us on whats important. You can't completely cut everything out of your life otherwise you will feel deprived and will want to quit all together. You have a plan and stick with it. I have been close to 3000 calories before and worked my butt off to burn those off. Good luck

Pffffttttt... I've had days that I went 3000 OVER my goal. Don't let it get to you.

Someone gave great advice in another thread that went a little something like this: If you ate like that 6 days a week, and only ate healthy on the seventh day, you wouldn't lose weight. So don't assume you're going to gain weight if you eat healthy 6 days a week and go over on the seventh day.

And... OMG, American Honey! That is so worth the calories. Love that stuff!!! :drinker: Just got a spare bottle today.

I could probably write this same basic story tomorrow morning. Celebrating my husbands new job tonight. But you know what we all need those nights to let lose. I have done it a few times since February and still lost 56 pounds. Its the fact that it is not a habit that makes it ok. Don't let it get you down!

Sometimes the body needs more than we think. In the past week I raised my calories by about 250 a day and lost almost 3 pounds after being stuck for weeks.
