Hello All,

I'm twynzmom from Mississippi and boy am I glad to have been introduced to this site! So user friendly. I find myself looking forward to posting what I eat so I actually KNOW what I'm eating! I also find myself disappointed when I go over my carbs and proteins. I'm not getting enough calories which is also good to know. Knowledge is power and this site makes me feel powerful. Best wishes to all like me who want to take back their lives from the addiction of eating!

Well, don't stress about those proteins! You want more than what the site says to consume! Seriously, I upped my protein and lost weight!!!

Welcome! We're thrilled to have you :)
I know, getting the sense of control back after food seemed to take it away is the best feeling in the world. You have the tools and are gaining the knowledge- you can do this! It's only a matter of time and dedication :)
Feel free to friend me and message me if you need any support, advice or just need to vent!
    Best of luck!

I've done pretty good just tracking the overall calories- I'm on an intense training regimine, so carbs and protiens are a must- you'll also see as you start tracking, you make overall better decisions- the numebrs will even themselves out! Making the decision to start this journey is the first big step- Congratulations!!!

If you are using the preset amounts on MFP, they have protein set way too low. Do not stress about going over on protein!! Protein helps build lean muscle along with exercise of course!! Also, for women over 50 your sodium should be around 1500mg, not 2500. If that is too hard to do at first, set yours to 2000 and work your way down. That's what I did after a MFP friend suggested it:smile: Good luck on your journey!

I'm glad to know about upping the proteins because I seem to get in a few more than they say I should!
